One of the WORST experiences ever!! My father in law died and the lawyer informed us to get his door re-keyed, so my brother in law called Little Lock Shop. The guy told my brother in law he would be there the next day between 9-930 am and quoted him at $80. The next day my brother in law shows up early but the locksmith doesn't show up until 12:20 PM! He had tried to call him MANY times with no answer. My brother in law was 3 hours late for work as a result. No apology was given. Then after he is done the work, he tells my brother in law it will be $160 - double the amount he had quoted over the phone!!! He paid him $100 and told him he would come drop off the balance owing at 11 am the next day because that was all he had on him because he had been told it would only be $80. Then he notices that the locksmith Damaged the door during the install!!!!!! So my brother goes there the next day to pay the locksmith and the locksmith is not there. Even though he told him that he would be there to pay him at 11 am. Then my brother gets a threatening phone call saying that - it would be a shame if someone removed the lock while no one was there. WHO DOES THAT????? My brother was nothing but nice to this guy, even though he was Late, dishonest about his quote, damaged the door, then threatens to come steal the lock off the door because he wasn’t available to accept payment when he was told a specific time he would be paid!!!! So then my husband calls him and says look, you did a job, we will pay you what we owe, can you come meet me so I can pay you and you can look and see what can be done about the damage to the door. Again, all very polite. So the locksmith shows up to meet my husband and the guy is nothing but rude, argues with my husband, denies that he did the damage, but then after arguing for almost 20 minutes, he admits that YES, he damaged the lock! My husband kept asking and pleading, how can we fix the door, I need to get the door fixed, how can it be fixed, already knowing this guy had No intention of repairing the damage that he had caused. So then the locksmith starts taking the lock off the door. My husband thought maybe he was going to fix the damage, but no! He takes the lock, gets in his vehicle and drives away!!!!! Leaving my husband with no way of locking the door!! As if it wasn't hard enough to have a death in the family, now were dealing with this!!! WORST person we have ever dealt with, I have NO idea how this guy stays in business, such an awful and dishonest person. ZERO customer service! We are very upset.

DO NOT USE THIS “LOCKSMITH”! This guy is a complete dick. Rude, insulting, and makes ignorant comments. We were locked out of our house, he came, got us in and quoted me $60 even. I went to his shop to pay debit and he refused to give me a receipt unless I paid that tax (which I was more than willing to do). Then he threw the receipt in my face. He is a crooked old man who wants to work for cash under the table and has no customer service skills at all. No wonder why is has a crappy review from almost everyone.

Got a car key copied here, the guy seemed knowledgeable and was friendly and saved me money by duplicating a key for the door locks only instead of an ignition key (just needed a spare for accidental lock outs) I showed up just before closing and maybe thats why the key wasn't cut accurately. I spent a half hour filing it down and testing it before it would work in the lock. Edit: Thanks for the reply, consider passing on that wisdom upfront in the future. It was a worn key, the person working at the time asked me the age of the vehicle (2002) and visually it was clearly worn. If I knew it may need to be brought back and adjusted I would not have been as disappointed when it didnt work.

Went here and had a key made. When done, the owner asked if I neede a receipt. I said no. Went home - key didn't work. Returned and told him that the key didn't work. He looked at the key, ground off a bit and handed it back to me saying "There, perfect!" Went home - key still didn't work. Returned to shop and told him that key still didn't work. He asked if I had my receipt. I related to him that I had replied "No" when he first asked if I needed a receipt. He put on his "magnifying glasses" and started measuring the key with some calipers. "Can't you just make a new key?" I asked. "Nope" he replied. He ran it through the grinding machine again and handed it back to me "There you go son". Returned home - key still didn't work. Went to Canadian Tire and got a key made. Worked fine and was cheaper. I have a name for this (type) of guy, but I won't use it here. Dealing with him really upset me.

We phoned and asked if they could make a key for a filing cabinet we were purchasing that had a lock, but no key. Gave them the number on the lock and they had the key made when we got there 10 minutes later! Never went inside or we might have given them 5 stars.

DON'T GO HERE. Horrible and uncaring customer service. I got a key cut here which didn’t work and the owner did not try at all to help me, he tried jimmying my lock which only messed it up, then walked away and told me to figure it out myself. Really grumpy and negative. Go to Kildonan Lock Service nearby, they are 10000x better, very helpful and care about their customers, plus cheaper!
