Awesome customer service, the driver rahall was super kind and quick. Would 100% recommend to a friend
Fair price and got job done fast tks
Came home from a trip only to discover our battery was dead. The staff at Oil Country Towing were quick to come to our rescue and get us on our way. Highly Recommend such friendly and professional guys.
Great company to deal with. Good communication, professional, good wait times. Clean trucks and smart dressed drivers.
It's refreshing to know that there's still businesses that go that extra mile for ya' .... Thanx for yer' help at Park & Fly last week i really appreciated it and won't forget it .
Cody C provided careful excellent service by delivering our motorcycle home. He was polite, professional, and extremely careful removing the bike from the flat deck truck. He took extra care in padding and protecting the motorcycle from the elements. Thank you Cody for the care and courteous service yesterday. Sincerely, Greg Clarkes-Edmonton
I was in such a dire situation when Rahall -Tow Truck Operator came along and handled it so well. Such professionalism and a sense of calmness when I wanted to ‘lose my cool’ was greatly appreciated. His area of expertise is impeccable. I truly recommend this company solely based upon the services conducted by Rahall. His compassion and empathy of the situation didn’t go unnoticed. This proves that there truly are good people left in this world. In Edmonton for that matter. I wish all employees had the same qualities and characteristics of Rahall, our world and consumers would be a much better!!! Thank you kindly for all of your services and expertise you provided Rahalll ????????
Had my car picked up to get towed in for repairs. Driver was clearly experienced and got my car out of a tight spot with good care and attention. Companies always benefit when they hire experienced people and that's the case here. I'd recommend them.
Despite having had someone put gas mixed with oil in my gas tank and having been stalled in front of a school! After the police parked both in front and back of my vehicule within a centimeter of each bumper!! I found myself in the unfortunate situation where I could not pay the 180 dollar tow and so as part of the organized "setup" my car was impounded to this location. After another dilemma of trying for three days I managed to scrape together the money to buy my vehicule back "which is my main source of income during these times" but after paying a small fee of $530.00 I was still left to figure out how to get my car running and usually the story will have to get better so basically I worked on the vehicule right outside the building in front of the establishment on a Sunday. Not only did I not get it started but,,,,, I was never given a hard time the whole day for having it parked in front. I didnt give the place a scrap yard feel with car parts scattered everywhere so I did my effort to be as invisible as possible, but also this is probably the most polite service as well as understanding, sympathetic, warm hearted employees that as the time became midnight they actually decided to give me a tow to my house for no charge. This is potentially a game changer in my opinion given the universal record that tow company's have internationally. From "cut throat" to "compassionate" thanks Jesse at Oil Country. I needed that to maintain my sanity. I finally got the car started and I will be paying it forward.
Nick saved me tonight. He got there before I even realized it & helped me change my tires. He also gave some safety tips & explained everything to me in a professional manner. Thanks Nick, I really appreciate your help!
Very helpful
I called for a tow truck and we agreed on agreed on a flat rate of 230 plus tax no surprises! When they dropped the vehicle off they asked for an extra charge of one hour $105 to bring the truck from outside the bay to the inside although I called and made this clear to the guy because I’m not there at the delivery but I’ll have someone there waiting for them!the guy on the phone started making excuses that dont make any sense and got angry on me! Very disappointed as I preferred to hire professionals instead of random people
Well organized and safety is a priority
Quick and professional service! The only company we call when we are in need of a tow or break in!
Oil Country managed to make a bad day unbearable. Stay FAR away from this unprofessional company. I got in an accident on HWY 2 and I was stranded in -25 weather. My car was blocking traffic, with cars swerving by on an icy section. I called oil country and they informed me they were not available for 3-4 hours even after I explained I was blocking the passing lane of HWY 2. Once the cops showed up, they called oil county and low and behold they weren’t too busy after all. I called 3 different scrap car buyers and two of them told me they refused to work with oil country because they are crooks, and this is coming from scrap car buyers. After arranging a time with AJ to meet oil country at the impound lot I waited for 25minutes before tow truck #21 arrived. I spoke to the man and he told me he didn’t know who I was, and he refused to help me. I called AJ back who told me someone would be there in 15minutes, 40minutes after our arranged time. When I finally was helped, I was charged an outrageous fee of 50$ for my car to be moved into the lot and 75$ for it to be moved out on top of the hefty towing fee. All in all, a frustrating and painful experience working with this disorganized company. A cash grab preying on powerless people. I wish I could give zero stars.
I have never dealt with this company, but if the driver of the flat deck flying down 97 st today with a Mercedes glk350 on the deck is any indication then I shall pass. Driver aggressively cut off an ETS bus forcing the driver to slam on the brakes to avoid hitting the rear end. All this to get into the right lane to get on the yellowhead. Tow op just left the scene of an accident at 97 and 137 not two minutes earlier, what's the rush, cause another accident?
Over the last few weeks I’ve had the miss fortune of being towed 3 times. Charlie towed my vehicle the first and third time and Lindsay and Andrew towed it the second. Very professional and courteous! Highly recommend this company!
Very quick, very friendly and awesome service
They missed me 2x in a row. The first time they checked my tires sent me home with out telling me my other tire was leaking. Charged me. And ignored my second call for help.
Don and his entire crew are very professional and pleasant to deal with. Thank you OCT!
Thanks for the awesome service! Oil Country came to my rescue on behalf of the AMA to replace my failing car battery and get me back on the road. They went above and beyond expectations to fit me in with fast, friendly service. If you need to call AMA, ask them to send Oil Country Towing!
AVOID THIS JOKE OF A COMPANY!! I called them today at 8 am to pick up my truck from the NAIT campus to be delivered to a shop 7km west. They quoted me 3 hours and told me a driver would be at my truck at 11 am. At 11:15 am I had not heard anything from them so i gave them a call. They said they were going to be an hour and a half to 2 hours late. Fair enough, it was is an awfully cold day and the roads were awful. At 1 pm I still had not heard anything so I called them again. They informed me they were between 45 minutes to an hour away. Keep in mind I had a full day of classes today and was trying to deal with this during them. At 2 pm I called once again and they informed me a driver was on Wayne Gretzky Dr. and the driver would be there shortly. I waited about 15 minutes and then walked across campus to where my truck was parked and waited in the closest building for around 25 minutes. At this point I was getting frustrated and had been out of one of my classes for 45 minutes, still no truck or call. I phoned them yet again and they said the driver was 15 minutes away. I could not miss anymore class so the dispatcher instructed me to place my keys in my truck and leave it unlocked and they would be able to pick it up without me there. It was 3:15 when I went back to class. At this point I walked back across campus to finish my classes. At 5 pm I called the shop to inquire if they had had a chance to look at my truck yet, they let me know that it had not yet arrived. Once again I called Oil Country and was informed that since I wasn't waiting with my truck I was not a priority and the driver that was supposedly minutes away from my truck was sent somewhere else. After a heated call to Oil Country I was now considered a priority. Finally a new truck has just arrived and is now picking up my truck. It is 5:50 so my truck will not be making it to the shop before they close at 6. All I can do is hope that my truck gets locked and that the keys are left in the drop box. I know the roads were awful today but 6 hours late is absolutely ridiculous and I did not receive a single call or update throughout the whole time. Marc Kassay was the driver who ended up finally arriving at my truck. He got called in on his day of which is unfortunate for him, but fortunately for me he was very informative, efficient and helpful. If it were possible I would give Marc the driver the full six stars individually but the company deserves far less than one star.
My daughter was in a car accident called me at work not knowing what to do the guy that ran into her wanted to cut her airbags out so she could go to the police station with him I told her to wait there and on my way I called well oil country towing and the guy that answered the phone told me that that’s illegal so I told him when I got to where she is I would call back with the address and that’s what I did and they were there before we were finished cleaning out her car really quick service and they handled everything. Thanks guys you made a stressful situation way more easier.
Absolutely wonderful customer service! The owner is considerate and pretty helpful!
We were really in a bind with our car breaking down in a parking lot. Needed help and they were able to respond very fast. They helped us out when we needed it the most. Would recommend to anyone to call these guys first!!!!!!! Great job!!!!!! Thank you very much
Just had the unpleasant experience of dealing with one of their drivers - truck #31. Was extremely rude and unprofessional.
The Receptionist was very nice and understanding she made me felt really comfortable while I was dealing with her
Got stuck when my truck shutdown on the road, Kalim saw me and was very helpful. Helped with a few things to look at and was very friendly. When dealing with the company for a tow they were great, will definitely use them again when needed.
Oil Country Towing provided quick and professional services. I received confirmation photos when my vehicle was dropped off at the service center that was closed for the night. I would highly recommend them!
Not to be trusted
Fantastic company! Highly recommend. Big help trying to get our truck going plus outstanding customer service from the team. Best experience with a towing company I've had in years. Keep up the good work you guys! If we ever have trouble again, we know who to call.
took care of wife's baby
The driver was so friendly and knowledgeable. He turned a bad situation into a pleasant experience. I will recommend oil country to everyone!
If I can give a negative star, I would do it 100 times. They are the most irresponsible towing service I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with. We arrived in Edmonton at around 12:30am on January 14, 2019 and drove to the Park N' Fly to pick up our vehicle, only to dicover that it had a flat. The guy at Park N' Fly tried to help us pump it but it was not taking any air. Fortunately (actually unfortunate), Park N' Fly (shout out to these guys btw, they were the real MVP) recommended we call this company to help us tow it somewhere so that in the morning, we can have it repaired. The guy arrives promptly and proceeds to help us locate the spare. He then attempts to remove the lugnuts on the faulty tire, and this is when the lugnut key breaks. He tells me that I would have to pay extra $42 for a dolly (because of the broken key) plus $78 plus $3 per km to tow it to Canadian tire which would have cost another $50 or so. At the same time I see that he is taking a picture of the broken lugnut key and I am guessing it was probably to report. At this point it was getting close to 2am and I was just not in the mood to even argue with this guy, so I declined his offer and proceeded to calling a taxi to take us to the Air BnB. At daybreak I start making phone calls to find another towing company, but they were all either really far away, or just were not showing up. I'm ashamed to say that I called them again because at this point I was running out of time and needed to continue on the way back home. As luck would have it, we discovered Kal tire nearby, so the $3 per km wasn't so bad. Kal tire was gracious enough to fix the vehicle and had me on my way in a little under 2 hours. About a week and half later (aka today), I decide to call them to report what had happened and in a nutshell the guy tells me that they cannot do anything about it and that it was not their fault. The guy kept telling me that I should take the car back to my dealership to get a replacement key, as if dealerships just hand out free lugnut and lugnut keys! SMH. To add insult to injury, he further tells me that it would have happened anyway, whether it was me trying to loosen the lugnut or someone else. The conclusion of the matter was that it was my fault for listening to Park N' Fly to call them. It was my fault for having the dealership tighten the lugnut so that the key broke. It was my fault that it broke when they tried to remove it. They had nothing to do with it, it was all me. I did everything, so I should pay for it all. Lesson learned. Never again!
Nice guys no issues getting friends car
One of my best experiences with a towing company ever! Great, timely service, and a cost-effectiveness you can't beat. I needed help twice in one day and they were there right away with efficient and knowledgeable service. Highly recommend! Thanks, Kalin!
worse company ever, never call them. I had a vehicle break down and i needed a tow. I called them to tow my vehicle from 91st street to a shop on 5th street. ended up towing my vehicle to Leduc and causing the price of my fix to be 22000 instead of 1300, I called and told them, the idiotic management did nothing. this place should go out of business
Excellent service. Prompt, friendly and professional. Highly recommended.
I called OCT about week ago. I thought my battery was dead and needed a boost so I call around couple places said they couldn't have someone come out till morning. I stumbled upon old city towing in my search. I am glad I did. Not only did they come on time they also didn't charge me for the boost! ( my vehicle having other trouble do to cold wether) Great people, from the dispatch to on the field staff they really go above and beyond. I really appreciate their professionalism ..definitely will be recommending to family and friends. Thanks!
Rahall Rahall from Oil Country Towing was very professional and kind. He even sent me a picture of my vehicle at its towed destination. I have had excellent experiences with this towing company the 2 times I have used them. Very polite and professional! Thank you!
Our car got stuck in deep snow during the recent warm weather. AMA had way too long of a wait time, so we called to see how long it would be from this company. They told us they actually had a vehicle 2 km away from our location and could come straight there. They were extremely quick and professional, explained the plan to us before doing it, and got the car out really quickly. The price was also amazing. Really appreciate the help and recommend this company! Will use again if we ever find ourselves in another difficult situation!
Great towing company. I parked in a stupid location. Had to pay the price to be towed. This company was amazing and helped me out (after towing my car) they are friendly and did everything in their power to help me get my car back. If any company was to towe my car, I'm glad it was them
Fast curtious service. Good price considering we had to flatbed an AWD
Bad communication betseen signs posted and 0
By far the most courteous and professional towing company I have ever called. Highly recommend for anything you need. All staff is very friendly and helpful, not to mention great prices!!
I contacted their main line in edmonton as i was told they accepted AMA. The guy on the phone was pretty rude. I expected alot more professionalism. Pretty disappointed, I was told to just call AMA that they had their own fleet... unfortunately adding to more stress to me having to deal with a broken down vechile. Pretty unfortunate. Hopefully they don't turn down customers in need just because they are insured with AMA.
CJ from oil country was fantastic. Positive attitude and was very professional. The company came out quicker than expected to tow my trailer to the shop and they kept me in the loop as far as time of arrival to the shop so I could plan around that with traveling. I appreciated that so much because with my business I am all over the place driving so that helped me out a lot! Thank you very much guys !
probably the worst towing company in Yeg . They are obnoxiously rude. And they are trying their best to get most money from you if they tow your car. Dishonest people
Had Marc tow my truck to my mechanic. He was friendly and accommodating. A genuine professional. Even the mechanic commented on his ability to place the truck in a tight space. The tow truck was clean inside and out and was obviously well maintained. Both truck and driver were professional which was a surprise in comparison to other tow companies that I've dealt with over the years. Thanks again Marc.
I had a terrible experience with this company. I parked my car and was inside a business nearby for a very short time. My vehicle was in sight at all times. I noticed a tow truck arrive and pull up near my car. I immediately went outside to speak with the driver to say I would move my car right away. The driver was aggressive and would not listen at all. He was extremely rude and would not even let me get a word in. He took my vehicle despite me being present and attempting to move my vehicle. My vehicle was taken to a lot where I was forced to pay over 300$ to get it back. Avoid this company at all costs! They are rude and will do anything to get money from you.
I used this service yesterday night and they dispatched Rahall Rahall he is a great operator and he pulled us out of the rut we were in, I bet if it was anyone else they wouldn't have been able to he's a great guy very nice, hard working and very safe, 10/10 I would recommend to ask for him if you use these guys
Fast reliant and quick.. needed a truck on Walter fale at 12 had them come asap, Friday night didn't matter.. Thank you for the service ????
Forgetful drivers
Oil country towing did a tow for my neighbor. the truck accidentally ran over some patio stones in the back alley on my property. Oil Country not only replaced the stones, they took the extra step to make sure they were leveled and looked great when they were done. Amazing customer service and thank for going above and beyond. If I ever need a service I know who to call. thank you for the excellent experience.
Great service!
Amazing people and amazing price.
Oil Country (specifically Riley) came to my rescue (in record time) when I locked my keys.. and my baby in the car. So grateful for Don and his team for being so outstanding!
Great service. Every staff member I interacted with was very helpful. The truck got there faster than my roadside assistance. They even have parkade trucks
Top notch service!!! I was apprehensive of my car being towed from my underground, but Rahall was amazing throughout and very calming. Great guy!!!
I had to get my car unlocked and towed. Rahall R. was my operator- he was so helpful and lovely. He was friendly and professional. I would 100% recommend this company and operator
My friend bought a salvaged motor from the guys here. They were helpful and courteous.
The Cummins lost yet again another transmission third one now they have been on time every time never tried to scam me great company truck looks good on there deck.
I dealt with Rahall yesterday, after a man completely destroyed my engine by not doing an oil change properly; causing my vehicle to set on fire. I lost one of the last vehicles on earth of that make with that low mileage on the engine. Though the oil company that caused the vehicle fire now owes me money, I was devastated since it is a vehicle that I can never replace it was rare to find them with an engine in such good condition. I am a collector of vehicles in the future and no money could replace the loss of any vehicle to me, especially this one. I was heart broken, but Rahall understood my situation and was very considerate and helpful. His towing skills were amazing considering the angle of my apartment parking space where I needed him to place the vehicle. I have always enjoyed oil country towing and found their service to be an excellent price. This company deserves nothing, but 5 stars. If only I could have had someone changing my oil who had the same customer service that Rahall has, I would have never had any issues with my vehicle.
When my duramax blew it's 4th engine, I called them and they acme fast and gave amazing service
We had to call today to have my dad's truck towed due to an issue with the front end. Rachel, the tow operator, was amazing. Very professional and skilled. An amazing experience during a stressful morning. Thank you Rachel!
I've been using oil country for the better part of 6 years as my primary tow company as I own a small repair shop. They are very professional and always give me great service. Thanks guys!
I wanted to take a moment and write a review regarding Oil Country Towing. I am incredibly pleased with the customer service provided by OCT, and wanted to specifically single out Nick for his courtesy, professionalism and timely service. My father has severe mobility issues, and Nick was most gracious and patient in dealing with and helping my elderly father. This sort of old fashioned, small town customer service is hard to come by nowadays, and we will continue to support local and use Oil Country Towing for our towing needs.
Great service and professionalism. Highly recommended.
Nick was very friendly and professional...he made my experience of being stranded on the side of the road in pitch black...much better... I will definitely call them again
I feel I need to comment on this business as i feel the public should know before even considering this place. Working the nightshift I received a call from my wife that my car was towed as she had received a car from my daughter that was very upset and in tears. My daughter parked at the parking lot at 11:15 pm that was used for the grocery store and numerous businesses around. She did notice tow trucks sitting in the parking lot but did not think anything of it. Unfortunately she did not read the signs saying no parking after businesses closed. Basically this parking lot empty after hours was not a inconvenience to the businesses with my car parked in this location for 15 minutes. Ironically during business hours my family has used this save on and nail place Vos numerous times in the past. My daughter did not think anything of it. In fact these tow trucks sitting in the parking lot could of warned her that this parking lot is closed after hours. Believe me I lectured her after this incident but I now realize she didn't think she was doing anything wrong because she has used this parking lot numerous times to conduct business. She called imperial parking that was the contact info on sign. They had no info about my car and have not requested it to be towed but they gave info to contact oil country towing. My daughter called oil country towing and was told they towed her car. She was driven by oil country towing to the car. She was charged 89 dollars for the parking ticket and 200 hundred dollars for towing. My car which is a 2018 honda civic sport touring is quite low to the ground and is a front wheel drive. I bought this car brand new and took great pride in taking care of it. My wife called me on nightshift telling me that the car was towed just gave me the most sick feeling to my stomach. I told her to check front and back as I just had a feeling damage was done. Yes I was right they scratched up the bottom of my bumper In the front. My wife called the oil tow country definitely with a heavy voice stating the damage done. The lady hung up on my wife. I came home from the nightshift and checked the car and found numerous scratches on my lower part of the bumper. I called oil tow country and definitely was upset. She said she would hang up if I did not calm down. I finally calmed down and she arranged for me to meet with the manager. That same day I met with the manager and he started to take pictures He also said I have no idea about towing which upset me even more. He said this statement numerous times as i know now why he did it.They did not have the truck of course on site that towed my vehicle but had a similar truck on location. I requested since I know nothing about towing if you can use the truck on site and show me how you hooked up my car. They refused to show me a demonstration. Don't you think this would be away of them to show there innocense and no liability. After he refused to show me a demonstration of how they hooked up my car I of course was steaming mad. He then said I am not dealing with this anymore because of my attitude. You can see what his plan really was all along. I have looked at my options. First option is oil tow country to repair but we all know this is not happening. Option 2 is my insurance. My third option is legal action. Fourth option is I repair it. Still looking at the three options . In conclusion I know this is a long review but I fell this needs to be shared with the public. Oil country towing said they only tow if impark request it but we know that's a lie. When my daughter called impark, they did not call in to tow my car at 11:15pm. What is happening are these predatores oil country towing are sitting in these parking lots late at night. All they had to do was put a ticket on my car and not try moving it and damaging it. But of course I estimate this is probably 90 percent of how oil country makes there money. Too all the dad's please educate your daughters and sons on how these parking lots work and please reconsider on using oil country towing!
Awesome service, called after my car died and showed up in less than an hour after AMA told me they would take 24+ hours. Kevin provided great service! Would recommend.
Great company friendly staff.
The listed opening hours mean nothing. They're open at their convenience. Don't depend on their word. Towed my daughters vehicle and scratched on the outside as well as mud on the inside (seats & door. ) Even after phoning ahead, still waited for 2 hours for them to arrive at their business. Their word is no good. STAY AWAY!
Oil Country Towing was quick to respond to a flat tire that I got on my way to Edmonton after sunset. Rahall was a standout individual who called me immediately to ensure I was safe, (especially knowing it was dark and very heavy car volume on the highway), and let me know he would be promptly coming to my location to help me. He was very professional the whole time and was very considerate of anything we may have needed. Within about an hour after I got the flat, I was back on the road. Great service, great response time and very professional!
Brayden and Lou were absolutely wonderful. Would definitely be using and recommending for any future tows.
Good place. Grandson works there
Amazing service , great value
WORST TOWING COMPANY! They are dishonest and they will do anything to charge you more for their services
,, the worst service they charge me almost $150 for 9 minutes drive and he put me in the spot and he said I don't drop off your car less if you pay me and he told me 75 bucks last night
Highly recommend!!! fast service very friendly staff
Great service respectful operators
I made an honest effort to convey my thoughts described below to Oil Country Towing management directly. The company could have benefited from my encounter with its driver by summoning the employee and quickly check him to see if he was fit that day to drive their rig. But my messages was not answered because, according to front office person A J, "[they] have been busy". So, I hereby air out my serious concern about this company. Ultimately, it is management's responsibility to deploy well-trained, good-mannered and apt drivers, who take public safety with utmost seriousness and care. This incident happened on 100 Avenue and 168 Street, on late morning of Wednesday July 22, 2020. Oil Country Towing has one dangerous, reckless and remorseless driver that I know. He seemed ill-trained to drive the rig he was given. I was on a Honda Civic driving on a parallel lane on his left side of a two-lane 100 Ave heading east. His rig was carrying a car on its bed and I was driving almost directly below it. I noticed he was cutting in to my lane and guessed correctly that he was attempting to turn north on 168 St like I was.. I noticed his odd driving and anticipated a potentially serious accident beforehand and avoided a collision, which would have absolutely compromised my safety. I have never seen any driver turn left from a right lane of a two-lane road without clearing inside lane from traffic and taking extreme precaution in a very busy 100 Ave. When I briefly stopped him to remind him of the infraction he has just committed, he was still in his truck, high above me. He seems startled, which indicated that he did not check traffic on his left side to clear the left lane before turning north. He was obnoxious, remorseless, irritated and chose to insult me by pointing his hand and rudely telling me "I cant see you. you are small". I understand rigs are very long and they need a wide angle. But even they take extreme precaution and must clear the the side lane before making a turn. I would have easily accommodated his need if I knew he was aware of my presence. The front office manned by a guy named A J told me today that they were "too busy" to address my concern. A J stated that he left a message to the manager "Corey", who has not returned my calls as of this moment in July 24 2020. The Oil Country Towing driver, a bearded guy, about 5 feet 9 and in his late thirties to forties, was driving a rig and carrying a car on his way to deliver it to a repair shop on 168 Street and 100 Av. How a towing service company expects to go far by manning its expensive rigs with bad drivers, who are ill-trained and remorseless is beyond my comprehension. This driver is a threat to public safety and security. If Oil Country Towing does not reign him in, I am most certain he will cause a major accident sometime soon.
I run an independent repair shop locally in town, So moving non-functional cars is a common issue for me to deal with. In all my experiences with Towing, I found that oil country towing offered seamless, efficient and reliable service. Highly recommend. Ask for Rachel and her flat deck.
I called these guys and the lady on the phone Kristi was so friendly. She was able to give me some advise and arrange to get my truck towed. Thanks again Oil Country Towing!
Worst experience with them. They towed my car from private property after their working hours (after 5pm) I didn’t mind. It wasn’t without any issue but when I called them to pickup my car they asked me to pay $336 as they said that they are closed but while closing they could tow anyone’s car lol. On the very next day I have been there, the lady at the front was very rude. She asked me to pay $325.50 I noticed that they charged $105 for two days parking including gate fees and etc without any reason. I’m agree with everything but I was ready to picked up my car on the same day so why would they charge me without any reason. I asked the same question to the lady too. Very unprofessional people don’t even want to hear this name again.
I have used this company many times and they all have always gone over and beyond. From helping me when my mom rolled our 1 ton van and trailer to when a lady's two dogs locked her out of her car on a hot day. When our trailer got stuck in our yard, dead batteries. You name it we have called and the response time has been beyond expectations! If you are looking for a company to treat you like a family member and not just a number this is the company to call. I can't say enough good things about Don and his employees.
I had hit the ditch, and this was the company AMA sent out. They showed up within the hour and was really quick on getting my car out. Another tow truck had showed up just before they did, that I thought was with AMA. They did an excellent job of handling the situation. I would call you again in a heart beat.
Don, the Owner and James the Driver were very quick and efficient to help us out, were friendly and helped with changing a tire when they didn't need to. Will recommend to friends and family
I had the unfortunate experience of my truck's head gasket exploding about 400km outside of Edmonton in an area with no cell reception. We contacted Oil Country towing and they were absolutely wonderful to deal with - made what was otherwise an extremely stressful experience much easier to deal with. They arrived exactly when they said they would and their driver, Rachel, was fantastic. We were able to get towed back to the city with no issues. Will definitely be using them for any and all future towing needs.
Super friendly and great service. A relief after an already bad day with two flat tires
Needed a tow and I called these guys, the driver (Dan) was awesome! He was there within the time frame they gave me. Recommend them highly!
twice i used them, first time they charged me 350 bucks from leduc to nisku second time 1000 worth of tools were missing out of my truck.. owner just kept saying "oh well i dont know anything about that". defi ately not an honest oppration!
Amazing company ! Great trained operators with the cleanest trucks in the city !
Excellent service, very professional and helpful..
Our vehicle broke down recently late in the evening and we finally reached a towing company, which happened to be Oil Country Towing. The dispatcher, Jessi, was great and professional. The driver, Rahall Rahall, was professional and kind. He made sure the vehicle was secure at the repair shop and made sure we got home safely. What could have been a negative experience was instead one that was positive and certainly fulfilled the mission statement of the company. Many thanks to Jessi and Rahall for the kindness and great service we experienced! We would certainly recommend Oil Country Towing.
I've used Oil Country towing extensively to tow vehicles involved in collisions. Their employees have been nothing but professional and their service has been prompt. I would recommend them every time.
These guys are predators.
Terrible, exploitive, dishonest and rude. They will do their best to get more bucks from you. And when you get upset based on their action they will threaten you
Great friendly staff. Big help. Will definitely contact them again.
Some damage was done during the tow but they took care of it right away! Great people to deal with!
Our car had a flat tire and Rahall happened to drive by with his tow truck and decided to help us out. With his professional tools the tire was changed within a few minutes. Then he wouldn't even accept a tip. Some good people still out there....
Unethical company. Some companies like this one usually camp out around Shopping centre lots to tow people’s cars in the middle of the night when all the shops are closed anyway. I don’t know if they pay some form of kickback money to impark to enable them make a business of towing people’s cars in the middle of the night when it is totally unnecessary to do so. They towed my car at 2:30 AM from a shopping mall lot when all the businesses were closed and I was not inconveniencing anybody. And then they forced me to pay $281.82 to get my car back. I begged them to give me a deal or reduce the amount but they refused. Even the government reduces fines when you beg them. The government needs to do something about these companies. They are making life a living hell for hardworking Edmontonians. This is pure evil. Companies such as this are what I want to avoid because of their unethical and heartless behaviour. I will have nothing to do with them. How can you justify taking 281.82 dollars from a hardworking struggling person?
Very nice to deal with and they get the job done. ????
Very helpful with towing my car with 2 flat tires the driver of the tow truck was a pleasure to deal with call for service again great job
Oil Country Towing is more interested in over charging customers with outrageous costs that they make up as they go.They are not in business for building a customer base at all. It's all about how much money can they steal from you that particular day.Do yourself a favor and shop around and save your money by going elsewhere !!
I’d like to appreciate this towing company .what a bunch of awesome people...they rescued me and my little one during the cold snap and I’m thankful for that.AJ was such a sweetheart ,he gave me and my baby priority (which he didn’t have to )and had a driver show up in no time.highly recommended.
Avoid at all costs. They will rip you off!
i dont usually give reviews but i had to put this out there and share my experience with oil country towing.what an amazing bunch of people, very helpful, considerate and professional ....one of the only tow companies that show up with clean trucks and uniformed drivers these days...over the years i have dealt with alot of towing companies because of the work i do ,and i decided to give them a chance and im glad i did....they are fairly new in edmonton,,but huge in leduc and i would recommend everyone in the city to call them if they need a tow...keep up the good work !
My keys and my boyfriend's had both been mistakenly locked in my boyfriend's car. I called AMA and they sent out a tow truck to my apartment to unlock the door. The car has the worst set up ever for door locks as the unlock button had been disabled and the unlock latch would only unlock if it was pushed inward (Pontiac g8). The driver tried endlessly for over an hour to unlock the car, bending his tools in the process. It was getting late and running over his shift but he did not stop trying until he eventually got it unlocked. Overall a really great experience and as much as I hope not to have to use the services again, I would recommend them to anyone in need.
5 stars is the only possible review! Oil Country Towing came through for my parents in a big way, and completely restored my faith in humanity. Here's the details, straight from my mom: "BIG SHOUT OUT to Marc and Braden at Oil Country Towing! had a disaster happen last Thursday (December 7), flat tire, Doug (my dad) at physio and can not drive. The tire would not fill, it was off the bead (they figured that out), so no amount of air was going to fill that pancake tire. They jacked it up, put it back on the bead, filled it, found the bolt in the tire, marked it, so when I took it in to get fixed it was easily found, I asked how much did I owe them, NOTHING! OMG I almost cried........my faith in humanity is now restored. With all that is wrong, these two GENTLEMEN are all RIGHT! Thank you, thank you, thank you" THANK YOU GUYS for helping out my mom when she needed it most :)
They will try hard to rip you off . Dishonest rude people
Quick, friendly and professional.
Great people and perfect service, I forgot my key inside the car and they unlocked it for me for Free, very nice. Saved my day!!
These guys are amazing! I called them after midnight and the guy was here in 20min, and much more reasonably priced than other companies! Highly recommended!
Great service, they got my trucks towed to my shop in a timely manner. I have dealt with them for 6 years and have never let me down.
Great place to deal with staff is very helpful and knowledgeable
I had great help by the workers, they did all the work I didn't have to get out of the car at all I want to thank you so much.
The drivers at Oil Country Towing have always been a major help to me and my family, they always have a huge smile on their face and are always extremely professional and make sure they do things right. They will always be my number 1 tow company to call! Thanks Don for running a fantastic team! And thanks Riley, Lindsay, Rob, And nick got always getting me out of crappy situations !
Great service and knowledgeable well trained staff. This is definitely the best tow company in Edmonton!
I had asked one of the staff members (named AJ) if I may speak to the owner of the office manager and he wouldn't let me. He kept insisting on the reason why I wanted to speak to them. I refused to answer. I have an AMA membership and did recommend Oil country towing to many friends and people in need. But from the terrible customer service experience I keep experiencing from AJ I will not be recommending them anymore.
Had a accident on March 5th, after waiting hours for the cops to show up to write a report, I was pleasantly surprised with how fast Oil Country Towing responded to my call. It maybe took them 15 minutes to get two tow trucks to us and tow both of our cars. The operators were super kind and helpful. Also the owner is really cute, and has fantastic hair!
I wish they were the first place I called!! After waiting 24+ hours for caa assistance I decided to call Oil country... Hands down best experience I’ve had, they went above and beyond for me, even trying to get my vehicle running for me before towing it! Was told it would be a 20 minute wait on the phone and they came in exactly that. Awesome guys, very friendly and professional and really knew their stuff. Great crew at Oil Country in Edmonton and will be my first call and recommendation from here on out! I was having a bad day and completely changed my mood by the time it was all taken care of, thank you sooooo much!
