Had a great experience at this store. I ordered an uncut unprogrammed key from ebay. I was warned that cheap keys from the Internet tend to be difficult to cut because of the metal. But they were able to cut it and program it within 20 minutes. Probably less. I used the same key to drive my 2011 Camry home. The dealership wanted to charge me $300. I saved $200. Thank you guys.

Getting a normal key for an older car was $6 and it was $85 for a moder key with a chip (not the clicker to wirelessly unlock the car). But they were fast and both keys worked fine. I would suggest going there for car keys

When you’re locked out and need a locksmith to come ON TIME, do not call these guys. Office says 20 minutes away. After 40 minutes I call back and they say the driver will call you. The driver will never call you and the office will repeat 15 minutes away after keeping you waiting for over an hour. Absolute terrible service. Very late, unorganized, and will lie by telling you a short wait time just to get the job very dishonest.

The key they made for me has broken 3 times within a year. I went back today to get a 3rd replacement after paying half price $40 for the last 2 times I felt it was only right for them to replace it free but they refused and the police had to be called even after the police agreed that would be the right thing to do they still refused. From the first time I should have known they were crooks because he begged me to rate and post a good comment! Now look at this mess!

On 1/13/21 I contacted a dozen locksmiths in Miami attempting to obtain a spare for my Suzuki motorcycle and all of the locksmiths either attempted to manipulate me out of hundreds of dollars or tried to get me to purchase a false and needless “reprogramming” endeavor, when all I needed was a simple key cut for spare! Fortunately, I contacted Smiley Locksmiths in Ft.Lauderdale. This business cut me 2 spare keys at $10 apiece,WOW! For $20 and expedient service(15 minutes) I am totally satisfied.

Terrible, I asked the price he gave a FLAT RATE (a charge that is the same in all cases, not varying in proportion with something). I informed him I was using my debit card, he said ok fee is still $65 flat rate. One of his guys came out, unlock my car, then said the cost was $75. I immediately went what. He said because I used a card and he charges a service charge. I got upset, called Smiley who said there is tax, I said what? You said FLAT RATE and this guy wants to charge $75. They talked he told to the guy to charge me tax only and I should realize that there is tax on everything. I to.d him not true, not when it's a flat rate....especially when I specifically ask what the cost would be and he said $65. I would not recommend him, I'm call the Better Business Bureau and report him. Charging the tax afterwards when it was stated flat rate was misleading. Put the definition of flat rate in my post to help him understand that when you say flat rate, the price does not change. Next time he should tell them the cost and inform them there will be tax and or surcharge so a person stranded will no to have exact amount before they help you. Or tell them Flat Rate, plus tax.

After some issues and miscommunication, Smiley Locksmith came through in making the keys for my accordion shutters. This was extremely frustrating for me because my fiancé is in the National Guard and was activated since this morning. Thankfully, my fiancé was still in town and able to come home to help with the shutters. I now feel safe and ready having the keys to my shutters, especially since my fiancé was activated to prepare to be away from home for at least 2 weeks. Oh Wow!! These Guys Are amazing!! I purchased a remote key from Amazon that say its the exact fit for my car. I brought it to Smiley Locksmith and they said this key is already keyed so this will not work for my truck.. They sold me a remote key that worked and they programmed it in less than 20 seconds.. This was the worst experience I've ever had with an outside company needed to replace a lock. My first clue should have been when I called the listed number. It went to a voicemail box that wasn't set up yet. As I was searching for another locksmith, I received a call from a Smiley's rep. I told the rep that I needed a lock replaced on a yacht. I informed her of the model number of lock, type of and the style of door. She said no problem and scheduled to appointment. On the day of the appointment, the so called technician arrived 20 mins late and did not bring any tools or the replacement lock. He looked at the lock for 2 minutes and told me it needed replaced. Then proceeded to insist on his $85 service fee in cash. I advised him that I knew it needed replaced thats why I called with all the information about the lock. I asked him where the replacement lock was he was suppose to bring and replace. He said he did not bring anything and this was just a service call to evaluate the problem. I told him he just wasted 4 days of valuable time and told him to get off the boat. I quickly realized this company is a scam and I wasn't going to be shaken down for this. Worst locksmith ever!!

My experience with Smiley Locksmith was exceptional. Max was unbelievably professional and knowledgeable in his trade. Unbeknownst to me, my car was made in Canada which proved to be a daunting task for Max as the codes and pin are much more difficult to acquire. He worked on it and called for help from an out of state friend who was able to get the pin required to program the key. Max also fixed a part of the ignition without any extra cost. The entire ordeal lasted about 2 hours but Max showed such patience and professionalism throughout. I will definitely be using Smiley again in the future!

I really like this locksmith-An honest place that does quality work at a very fair price. I had a motorcycle key duplicated here, and the locksmith told me, if it doesn't work, you'll get your money back. I also had the option of bringing my bike to the shop so he can make it work for me. That's a great offer. By the way, I called around and the other places wanted much more for the key I wanted duplicated. I highly highly recommend this shop.

Called them on Friday to set an appointment for Monday at 1pm. They called at noon to confirm the appointment at 1pm. At 2pm I called them and asked what happened to my appointment. They tell me that there was an emergency and they had to move me back (after calling ahead to confirm an hour before, and not notifying me of the change). Swore they'd be there in an hour "or so". I asked for a phone call ahead of their arrival. Currently 7:25pm Monday. Haven't heard back. Seems like a pretty bad business. Would suggest calling any of the dozen or so others in the area.

We flew into Fort Lauderdale to pick up a car from Manhiem. Upon our arrival the key to a new car was no where to be found. Manhiem had no idea where it could be or even really what to do. We called smiley and they had it handle within minutes. At a time when I was extremely frustrated they made everything simple. We didn't even have to be present for him to come fix it. Requested a quote for a new 2013 Mini Cooper Key fob, and metal key on a Sunday through Yelp. They responded super fast within minutes a quote of $200 plus $12 sales tax. On May 7 I called inquiring about a locksmith I found them on goggle I asked if they installed key pad locks for a physician office they stated yes they quoted they started at 350 and up we agreed. She informed the gentleman would be out that afternoon btwn 3-4pm. He came and showed up unprepared which I found bizarre because I was specific on a physician office and a keypad lock for the front door. He uninstalled the lock and realized the lock was not the one we needed because it locked from the outside so patients would not be able to open the door to come in that we would have to open the door all the time. He stated he would be back in the morning the next day with the correct lock. Next day came and he never came or called. I called that afternoon to find out what happened to gentleman and a young lady answered and stated that he had to order our lock for our door and that it would be 450 instead of 350. I don't believe that was professional because he ordered something without running it by me in the first place however it was fine we agreed to the price and wanted the lock . H e came the next day a little after 9:40 that's the time I noticed because he never asked for me the practice manager he only inform the front window and began to install the lock. after he was almost done I went out to inform him a master key was needed for the maintenance man of the hospital. He told me I should have notified him before he started, which I find insane because one im not a locksmith so I would not know that and 2 I didn't even know he was here until I took it upon myself to notice he was working on lock already since he didn't ask for me when he arrived. He went downstairs made 3 key"master keys". The maintenance man of the building came up and told him he needed a copy of his master key and they spoke and some how he didn't know what he meant by master key and said that's not what I asked for . I informed him im not a locksmith I told you the maintenance man needed a master key and you proceeded to go downstairs and make 3 keys. He then stated the lock he installed wasn't going to work for the master key that he needed so a new one would have to be ordered. I was over it at that point the miscommunication and lack of knowledge in his field was obvious. He stated he needed to be paid for at least the gas and mileage and the constant take off and the amount of times he came again he was unprepared and didn't know what he was doing. Long story short my doctor refused to pay 90.10 he was charging for this he gave me a receipt book I asked for a copy to show her and he sated for me to sign so he can give me a copy to give to her so I did , so that I may show her and she could decide on payment she refused the amount it was ludicrous. Make sure you don't sign anything and you speak clearly and specify because these people are RIDICULOUS. How do you come to a place and expect someone to know the correct terminology about something they are not educated or specialized in Like I stated to him that's like a plumber coming and you expect me to know a plumbers job if I did I wouldn't have called for one. Duhhh!!!! I don't believe in him not getting compensated for his time even if hes incompetent at his job but not 90 dollars for nothing done.

I had a wonderful experience at Smiley. Bought a pre-owned car with one key, and bought a Blank Fob online. He cut the key easily, but he said most times the fobs don't work (which it didn't at first) but he had a brand new programming machine and decided to use it, and through his patience and persistence he got it to work. How often do you get to leave a good review for something like a locksmith? I’ve now used Smiley twice: once when I (very stupidly) locked myself out of my house, and once when a lock broke at my business. I was so impressed with the service at the house that I specifically called them for the urgent work at my store. Friendly, efficient, and quick to arrive. I don’t hope to have to use a locksmith often, but Smiley makes it easier when I have to. I would recommend them every time.

Called first to see if they were open.. girl who answered the phone said yes- until 5pm. I drove 20 mins to store and it was closed. Spoke to mother customer in the parking lot who was told the same thing!! I called her back and she said he would be back in an hour! Called and spoke to Latoya - asked her if they could replace a slab exterior door and hardware. She explained they could and I could buy everything and they would come out Sunday to do the install. She also stated once I bought the materials to send her pics and she would give me pricing and set up the appointment for Sunday morning. I went out and bought $700 worth materials, sent her the pics for her to tell me they can’t do the job. Now I have $700 worth the materials and no one to install them.

Great showroom and service, the staff is very knowledgeable and helpful. I went to get a spare key copy to my 2011 Nissan Quest (I must admit I was very sceptical because first I called the dealer and they told me no locksmith can program these smart keys) it took no more than 15 minutes and I had a working and original spare key and the cost was about $125 less than what the dealer quoted me. While waiting Allen offered me coffee and brought me a chair while I was waiting... just great experience , if I ever need a locksmith again they are the only ones I would gladly use again.

had to have smiley out to re-key my house and car. the car is a 2002, so it had a transponder key. the key that was lost was the last key we had. smiley had to break into the car to even begin the process. nir and george absolutely crushed it. house was done in about 20 minutes or so. the car was done in about an hour (they had to break into it, take off the dash, take off the door panel, flash the computer to sync the transponder, etc). i had called other places to get a price (transponder keys are EXPENSIVE). the dealership quoted me around $1500 for just the car key. other locksmiths in the area quoted me around $700 for just the car key. smiley did the house and the car for less than what everyone else quoted me on the car key alone. i couldn't be happier with the service or the price. i won't call anyone else for locksmith services going forward. i'd give 'em 10 stars if i could!

Came here two days ago asking if they sold high security padlocks. Guy at the front had no idea what I was talking about and had to ask someone in the back. He brought out a four Medeco lock bodies, two heavily scratched. Took down my name and number and said he would have the boss key one up with a core and I could pick it up the same day. Never got a call or even an update if say, they were missing a core body and needed to order one. No call same day or next day. Pinning up a core is something that should take a competent locksmith 5-10 minutes to do. It should not take days to setup a Medeco padlock with a core. Needless to say, I took my business elsewhere last night and was in and out within 15 minutes. This is probably a decent spot to get key copies or something simple, but if you need the services of a competent expert locksmith and a prompt response, I would go elsewhere.

Talked me into the high end Medco Locks. I've had them a little over 18 months. For whatever reason on the door I use a lot the knob loosened--scratched up the door. And then the lock jammed. $95 for a service call to lubricate my lock. I bought a premium locks ($1200 for 4 doors) and expected premium customer service. If the owner had been smart he would have knocked off some of the cost. Helps maintain repeat business. I won't use them again for my home or my rental.

Bought a car without the remote to the alarm so decided to go the convenient route and call one of those mobile locksmith companies that ended up being pretty worthless. I called smiley and told them the issue also mentioned that the mobile locksmith guy suggested I buy an after market car alarm the big tall bald Representative in the front desk looked at me with this "hold my beer face" went to the back got a remote for the car did some voodoo magic and boom programmed the remote to the alarm within 20 min. I paid the cost and was out, these guys are tremendously good at what they do
