The price is reasonable to cut a key but the customer service is old school generation. Don’t expect much interaction or an informative conversation as the gentleman behind the desk seems to always be busy.

Best key duplication in Ottawa. Often Home Hardware or Canadian Tire have inexperienced staff duplicate keys. This often results in keys that don't work. If you want to be close as close as possible to 100% certain that your duplicated key will work then Avenue Lock is it.

A rip off if I could give it 0 star I would. Had to take him to court and he played stupid and had the judge wrapped around is finger because has he so call it doesn't understand english. Stay away he will take your money and run not do the job an never refund you. From what I heard word of mouth absolutely 0 NO customer service. You deal with him you get burnt

Every couple weeks I keep getting phone calls from this company telling me someone is there to change locks. They have the wrong number. I have told them multiple times that they have the wrong number. Today I got 3 phone calls from them, I answered all of them and told them each time they had the wrong number. The third person that called frustrated me and I was telling him to stop calling and he hung up in my face. Very rude. PLEASE STOP CALLING ME.

I needed to get a key copied and didn't realize they didn't accept debit. Since I lived in the neighborhood, he let me take the key for free and told me to come back and pay "when I remembered". I've since paid and have recommended this friendly, helpful place to all my friends. Thanks!

I had a good experience here so I am writing to maybe help balance out the negative reviews. I called them a couple of years ago when I locked myself out of the car. I had groceries in there, it was the middle of winter, and my dog who could see me standing outside kept howling and barking. They showed up promptly, opened my car door and saved the day. They have also made me a copies of keys through the years. I have been pleased with their service (last I used them was 2013).

| have been dealing with Avenue Locksmith for over 35 years and have not been disappointed. They replaced my alarm system at a nominal charge. A touch pad dead bolt was replaced after 5 years under warranty. When I need keys cut for my car they do it promptly and courteously - all my locks have been rekeyed by them.

Poor customer service and lack of professionalism. The workmanship was shoddy, and I was sold an overpriced keyless entry system that is not secure even after a lengthy consultation with the locksmith. Overall, an expensive and disappointing experience! I do not recommend this company.
