Great service. Needed a proximity key fob programmed for a car. Dealership quoted significantly higher price, "about an hour" to do, and no guarantee that it would work. George from Lock Monkey was more affordable and only took about 15 minutes to do. He arrived right at the scheduled time (a few minutes early, actually) and was very friendly and knowledgeable. Will definitely be calling again for any locksmith needs. Highly recommend!

First of all, for the ones posting negative reviews, you undoubtedly have the wrong company. My husband lost his whole set of keys in concrete at his construction job. We called Lock Monkeys. They came out to make us another key. However, in the process we found out that they whole ignition switch was old and worn out. He was able to make a key for the door and even came back out that same day when we returned with the new ignition switch. I would definitely recommend this company to others. Fast, friendly, reliable and AFFORDABLE! Very pleased with the service we received!

My car key snapped in my door lock. I called LockMonkey and they were great. I shopped around and they had the best price in the area! George (Locksmith) gave me an estimated time of arrival, and arrived right when he said he would, managed to get the snapped key out of the lock, and made a new one from it for me right on the spot. I would recommend to anyone if they are unfortunate enough to get locked out/have a snapped car key with no spare!

Need a locksmith? Do not call anyone other then George at Lock Monkeys. Never have I experienced such an honest and amazing service experience. George had to order the special key for my car, it took a little less then a week do to the specialty of my key, but he made sure to keep me updated on the status of him receiving it. Once he obtained the key he was able to meet me at a moments notice and program it. He made sure it programmed properly by testing the key not 1, not 2 but 3 times that I know of. He also made sure to educate me on how my key works.

Unfortunately, he had a technical glitch that kept him from being able to program my fob. He referred me to another locksmith who was able to complete the job. Since George was unable to program my fob, he did not charge me for the appointment. I lost my ONLY car key. Ack! Panic! LM quoted me a price for two new keys that was close to 1/3 of the price the dealership wanted to charge me for the keys and the programming. He came out, on time, in the rain, and made me two new keys and even a template key to help open the car and help the locksmith if I should ever lose both of my new keys. Just a super experience with Lock Monkeys here in Fort Mill. Had to have a professional locksmith help us with an upgrade of some Yale locksets we had purchased to replace the builder-installed units; could NOT remove the builder items as it was impossible to see how to disassemble the lock set. Nobody wants to have to call the locksmith.... but if you do, Lock Monkeys is the one. My apt door lock failed, I had the key but it no longer would work. George was there within ten minutes of my calling. He tried several different things before finally having to drill the lock out. Before drilling, he told me he would leave me with a courtesy lock, so my baby and I wouldn't have to leave the door unlocked over night. However, George was able to keep the lock working from the inside. Even though I didn't end up needing it, I really appreciated that offer. He takes debit/credit, right at the door. He also made sure my receipt said that the lock was faulty and that it was definitely not my fault the lock failed. My apartment, Bromley Village, didn't care, they would not reimburse me the fee but at least George tried to help. I saved Lock Monkeys contact info just in case I need it again....

I have locked my keys inside my car multiple times and every time I do not hesitate to call George. He is trustworthy, arrives on time, and is very affordable. I have AAA but I choose to call them first simply because they arrive when they say they will be there. I was not told it was a different price if you did not have your key. As a client I do not know all the questions to ask. Our 2 year old grandson locked himself into our closet which had an electronic deadbolt and changed the combo from inside. George dropped everything and was at my house in 10 minutes and drilled out the lock for us. I was expecting to be charged a very high price for this emergency service but was surprised that there was no emergency fee, driving fee or any other fee added on to his already reasonable prices.
