Locked my keys in my car a technician was at my location in 15mins. Very professional and quick. It was nearly $100 which is a bit pricy compared to what I'm used to but the dispatcher on the phone was upfront about the cost when I asked unlike some other places.

We had to have our locks changed last minute on a Saturday. Most places I called didn't even answer the phone, but YEG picked up right away. We had a locksmith at our door within 20 minutes. He was extremely professional, friendly and knowledgeable. We were dealing with a very stressful situation with police, etc. and the locksmith very quickly and quietly did his work and let us know when it was finished. I was very impressed with his service and will be referring everyone to this company based on this locksmith's service.

My house is in Spruce Grove. I had already been to 1 company that couldn’t help me for over a day and the other company had told me they would be at my house in 1 to 2 hours. After 4 hours I was still sitting in the driveway with my dog and was surfing to see if there was anybody else because I had phoned the other company 4 times (3 times to ask where they were and the 4th time to cancel). I called YEG locksmith and David was at my house within 1/2 an hour. He provided quick and personable service! Gawd! I wish I had of called them first! I wouldn’t have wasted most of my day waiting! Good and fast service. They showed up on time. Good price too. Just make sure you call their service before 8 pm or else they will charge you $$$ more money. I don't know why but overall good. Why 3 stars? Cuz instead of $$ they made me pay $$$ for a 10 mins job. Otherwise they're ok.

I was really in a tight jam in this recent cold snap in Edmonton. I'm sure no one wants be outside in the cold in sub -40 Celsius but thankfully Ali and the guys at YEGLocksmith helped me out in under 30 mins....can you believe it...I still can't. Deceptive Pricing. Quite a surprise to learn that the vehicle unlock service cost $139, when from what I could understand on the phone it would be between $29 and $45. The operator answered with 'Service', leaving me wondering who I had called. She was a bit hard to understand as I struggled to hear what she was saying but heard the $29-45 figure and that sounded really low but good! What she didn't say was that the door opening operation cost an additional $110. When the service tech arrived he immediately went to work and I heard him say $139 I stopped him and was about to send him away when he said he could lower the price to $110 if I paid by cash or email transfer. Seems like YEG TEX operates 'under the radar' I'll call the local towing company if I ever need this service again.

Terrible Company stay away from these guys! Called them to unlock a door at my business and they took way longer then they said they would. When they finally showed up the gentleman wanted cash money for the call but would provide no receipt.

We had these guys in to change the bolt lock when the 'smart lock' failed. The guy left sharp metal shards all over the carpet in the hall and the old lock and parts laying around when he left. Once the new lock proved to be unreliable and we called him back he insisted there was nothing wrong with it and I merely didn't understand how to use a lock. Very poor service - don't call the 1st place that comes up.

I was very pleased with my service. I broke my key to my mail box and I was calling to see who could do it for a great price. Other places were 150$ 140$ 130$. So I searched on kijiji and came across this company and the person I called was extremely professional and I recieved quick service. From the time I called and until the job was done it was under an hour.The lock smith was very professional also. It all cost under 100$ and that included gratuity. I always feel compelled to reward for excellent quality service. I highly recommend these guys if you are ever stuck in a bind. Thank you so much.

It’s unfortunate in a heightened time of need that I called this company for help. Although the individual came out quickly and changed the lock because the keys were locked in the office and people were soon going to be coming in for services, the cost was astronomical. At over $600 to replace a single doorhandle lock, in shock and in need to start work, the cost was paid. Still in angry shock, I later called four other locksmiths to find that the average price was around $200 with the most expensive comparable locksmith job being $300. When I called YEGLocksmith’s office to try and negotiate a reduction of cost, the person coldly refused to hear that his cost was double of any places I called. On top of all of that, the locksmith left all of the shards and mess he left at the base of the office door. A complete rip off and I would highly suggest finding another locksmith.

Called the guy to change handle on the main door (without bolt). The guy (Omar) came in and said it will be $432!!! When I said its ridiculously high answer was, no worries just pay $82 for service call and 1 hour labor. DO NOT EVER CALL THIS COMPANY! Called their manager to argue on it. He said sure that was way too much ($432) for change of a handle and he said they will try to reimburse some of the ($82) service charge. But then 10 min later "another" manager called me and said it was proper quote ($432) for changing the handle and said no reimbursement will be issued and he was super arrogant! PLEASE DONT WASTE YOUR TIME NOR MONEY! Message to owner: If you decide to write that you have no record of having a business with me or this case (as you do all bad reviews). I have receipt for $82 from your company!

I was told it was $19 service fee and $45 labour over the phone, there was no mention of that changing. After the technician arrived (with his buddy and a 8 year old boy) he unlocked my door and then let me know that the price had changed $150. He showed me a list of texts he had with other customers to prove this was common practice. All of them were told via text the originally advertised and all of them paid over $130. The dispatcher explained its due to time to location and tools use, however the technician had spouted out its $150 without any decision the 15 minute arrival time or anything being invoiced. The technician was extremely rude and sarcastic and obviously enjoyed exasperating situation. They said a receipt outlining the increased cost would be emailed; still nothing 48 hours later. I sure hope I didn't just help someone get away with some under the table business... He was also starting to access my vehicle before I got out there, provided no company or personal ID, just be careful with this place

This was my second time doing this but this time I was in an emergency situation locked out with my granddaughter and they responded immediately after my phone call. The locksmith was very sympathetic and offered to install a keyless doorknob to prevent me from locking myself out again.

I'm very impressed by their service. I locked my only car key in the trunk yesterday. I called 2 other locksmith companies first. They refused to help me because my car is a newer model German car. Feeling desperate, I almost decided to tow my car to the dealership to get it fixed. I called YEG Locksmith the next day. The guy came earlier than the scheduled time and opened my car within 5 minutes. Best in the business!!!!
