Google should really make an option for no stars, lady working there total rude attitude made me buy a key that doesn't even turn please don't go there and get ripped off like I did. She kept saying how I need to bring it in so they can work on it just so they can get a dollar off me no thanks. She sprayed some oil in the key ignition to make it smoother but all it did was make it harder to turn my car on .Why do I need a key that won't unlock or turn my car on waste of time and effort #theives Canadian Tire and part source don't even let you buy the key if it doesn't work. I want my 8 bucks back .

Friendly, helpful & excellent service. We had a new deadbolt installed, took 1/2 an hour. I had also called another company & they had a completely unreasonable price, so was very pleased with the fair price & great service I received from Master Locksmiths. Highly recommend.

This place is VERY HANDY for good quality locks, components for broken door sets, installation parts etc... and has top quality padlocks on hand. The owner/lady in charge is kind of off-putting... but her industry is basically dying thanks to big box stores and the service business isnt what it used to be so, i can understand. If possible, buy from a shop like this, dont buy the tinker toy chinese made junk at home depot.... at least here you can customize and get quality. Just be prepared to pay for it... good stuff isnt cheap.

I went to this place to get them to fix my toolbox locks on both sides of my toolbox. I had no keys for it and the key the tall blonde lady tried cutting didn’t work so she asked if I could leave with them and they would get to after they where done with this other customer. She told me would be all done in 2 hours. I went back in 3 hours she said they got to much work and said take it if I want. She said they got other customers they gotta get done before me. Just lieing already to get me going. Now I’m upset I said you said 2 hours and she denied it. I then put my fake smile on and she said they’d get to it before then end of the day and she’d call me once it’s done. I said I need it back today cause I need it for work tomorrow in the morning as all my tools are in it and my wife could help me load it back on my truck or trailer. She never called. I went their this morning to pick it up already thinking in my head what’s gonna be next to go wrong. The tall blonde who is not very friendly said they only got one side fixed and it’s working but I gotta work it a bit to work it and the other lock must be fused. I was really upset now and explained why she never called me as it’s still no good to me with one working lock I need both sides to lock. She said well you owe us still $26.25. I said I would of never got it fixed cause it’s still useless to me. I paid wasn’t happy went to the back to put on my trailer. I noticed the latch not closing like it did before and said in front of the blonde oh well this doesn’t work anymore and she said are you blaming me for breaking it and said I was a rude ignorant person to begin with and that just pissed me off and I said you told me 2 hours it would be done and it wasn’t, would you be happy and I said I will never come back here again and she said good and I said I would be giving you guys a review and she said go ahead so here is my review. I have went to this place in the past and it was ok service. This time was horrible service. Maybe management should be careful who they hire as I’ll never go back again and I won’t be recommending anyone to that place again. They are gonna be losing lots of customers having that tall blonde work their as she’s not friendly and can’t keep her word to paying customers like me. Now I have to go to a different place get them to install 2 new locks with keys as this is what should of been done from this place and wasn’t not even a phone call to let me know.

First call, I was put on hold and left there. I then called back and got a person. My son went there to get his 3rd party automotive fob programmed. They attempted and failed to program the 3rd party part. They charged him a ‘discounted’ $100 instead of $160 for an attempt to program his fob. When I called and asked what they charge for one of their fobs that they ‘can’ program she quoted a standard price. When I asked if they could do any better since we’d spent $100 with them already on an attempt, they said no, and $100 for an attempt was already a discounted deal. Since I can buy a fob and get it programmed anywhere at standard price- I will do just that. Now you know my story and you can be the judge for yourself if you will spend your money here. UPDATE: After posting this review, the owner of the shop reached out to me. Explained the shop issues they have programming 3rd party car fobs, and apologized for not offering a discount for a fob they could program against what we spent on their attempt. We accepted the discount and purchased a programmed fob from them. We spent another $100- and now 3 weeks later have a working fob for the car.

I came to shop to buy a look other day. There was only one guy in front of me waiting to be key cut or somthing.. I was standing nearly half an hour waiting, and the lady who was working there, clearly see me walk in and waiting, but she didn't even come and ask me what I want or wait a minute.. just ignore me with one customer. So I just walk away.

Lack of customer service skills If you think about it! There are many places in the city that offer same service and no matter how much you pay ...it can b a dollar but if the customer rep is rude I rather going to a place where I will pay more but be treated like a person lol Lady at the desk can cut keys but she ain't cut for the front job

Called every place in the city in regards to a lost ATV key. This is the only place that could help, fast turnaround with true lock smith knowledge. Recommended for all vehicle types.

First time ever with a broken door lock, not a clue how to go about fixing it. Spoke with Jim on the phone, could not have been more patient and pleasant to deal with, talked me through it over the phone how to take it apart. Took it to their shop and instead of a $100+ service call, sold me a new part for $12 and displayed how to put it back together. Total time from making the phone call till repair complete, less than an hour. Will definitely go back there again next time I have trouble.

They incorrectly rekeyed our locks and refuse to admit any error (choosing to blame us instead). They also refuse to fix the problem and refuse to refund the charges so we can go somewhere else to get the problem fixed. Here is a direct quote from the owner: "Dear Sherilynn, my recommendation at this point would be to contact your new locksmith that you have recently hired to do a complete new rekey and master system of your building due to my stupid blonde employee may have created a cross bitting. Thank you, Norma Nyal." The problem with the rekey is they rekeyed two locks differently and provided us with two sets of keys, but both keys open one lock and no keys open the other lock. So we have one lock that can evidently be opened by several sets of keys, and we have no keys for our other lock and no way of knowing what the "bitting" code is in order to have keys made. As above, she finally admitted her employee's mistake with the "cross bitting." However, when I asked for a refund on the incorrect rekey, she replied: "I will not refund the rekey/master charges because this was conducted correctly." They have been completely unprofessional and rude to both myself and my staff, as if we are somehow to blame for their incompetence. Pretty sad considering the fact this is the fourth time the blonde employee has made mistakes on our jobs. Furthermore, we have been subjected to the inconvenience of having to make multiple trips to their office to get all of these issues fixed. Not once did they offer to send a locksmith to the site to save us the effort to fix their mistakes. I certainly would NOT recommend working with this company.

Poor customer service the lady was rude when I was saying why I thought the second key wasn't working to unlock my door.she handed me my key and said go. you know more about keys than I do. Why should I pay for a key that doesn't work properly. I won't be back. I've been here to get many locks re keyed and keys the cut never had a problem before.

Awful experience. Dropped off a piece for my bike rack 2.5 weeks ago because I lost the key. Was told initially it wouldn't take long, a couple days. Got a call a couple days later saying that they need more time with the lock. Fine, no big deal. Another week goes by, call them again. They ask when we need the lock by. We say by the end of the week because we are leaving the province, they tell us that shouldn't be a problem. We go into the shop to pick up the piece and we are told that the locksmith took it home. They knew we needed it by today fixed or not and now I'm on my way to buy a new freaking bike rack. Unbelievable! Such terrible service!

Very unfriendly and rude customer service. I would give no star if i could. The lady on the phone should get an award to be the rudest person in Canada. I never experienced something like that... She seriously just hang off the phone on me because i didnt understand what she asked me - instead of explaining... wow... Better stay away from this place and spend your money somewhere where people are friendly and helpful so you can solve the problem...

Had some locks re-keyed but when I went to use them only the mastee would work called about the problem I had and was told she was to busy to worry about my problem at the time because she had other people to worry abut, not happy about the service I received I already paid for this service! She also took my name and number and said she would call me back but didn't, 2 stars is being nice

Called about 6 or 8 other places for rekeying service but they would only offer call out service, charging you a minimum of about $80. Some wanted $160. And that was just to get them there. This person will let you come to them or they will come to you. Prices were the best I found and they knew what they were doing.

Called at 4:30 p.m they are open until 5:30 and was told the call wpuld be considered an "after hours call". I was asked what time would be good for me and if I wanted a call before the locksmith came. They showed up at 2:30 with no call they were on there way. Not a place I would call again.

Norma is obviously a master craftsperson at her trade. But more importantly she actually cares about your problem and pulls out all the stops to help you. Its old fashion service that is near impossible to find these days. She was the only locksmith I called that actually sounded like she knew exactly what the problem was with my ignition key issue and called back many times to update me on how the repair was going. Even after the repair was done, she called a week later to see if things were ok. I can't say enough good things about her, the advice she gave, the explanation of work performed and the top notch service provided. Thank you so much Norma :)
