My sons truck was vandalized and the ignition key lock and drivers entry lock were severely damaged. I called Century Locksmith and he said he could repair both. He arrived same day and quickly and professionally repaired both locks for a very reasonable price. Very quick and kind, I was quoted $700/key from Dodge, and needed 2 new keys. That would total more than I paid for the car. I went here (same day appointment) and he gave me a buy 1 get 1 deal for $180. It was quick, keys slide smooth and work great. So I was at Guildford doing some Christmas shopping last night around 8pm, and with all the Christmas good in my hands I rush to the car to get them home. I go through everything and CANNOT FIND MY KEYS. I almost cried, I went store to store retracing my steps with no luck. Finally I gave up and deciding it was time to get some professional help. I called 4 places and all 4 advertised “24/7 auto locksmith” and when I called they denounced there after hour services OR charged a Ridiculous premium for after hours service, I finally came across century locksmith. I gave them a call, and he answered right away! He gave me a quote of 495$ for 2 key fobs, (most dealerships charge 500 for 1 key w/ programming) I agreed to the prices and he said he would be there in 20 minutes. Super impressed by punctuality, and efficiency, he was into my car in 10 minutes, and had both keys made in under 30 minutes. He accepted etransfer too! I love this guy! Definitely recommending in the future!

David is very knowledgeable and knows how to program the car remote key fob but you need to make sure to call him in advance (at least an hour) to make an appointment. But Calling him a couple of days in advance does not work (that is too early to arrange the time - he is too busy to make it to your time).

i knew from the start when he couldnt even get the address he was from mainland china....tells me 120 to come as car keys are in car.. told him window is open and would take 5 minutes says no ... found a stick and opened the door myself....english as a ninth language... Then proceeds to email me to remove the review lol watch out read the other review this guy is a crazy

Much like other 1 star reviewers I am surprised and weary of the 5 star reviews I see here on google. Last Wednesday March 31 I decided to pick up some groceries after work and when I returned home to my condo unit I noticed the door to my unit wouldn’t open even though I could hear the deadbolt turn and disengage. I decided to call Century Locksmith and it went downhill from there. A man of Asian decent with very little grasp of the English language showed up. I explained that I am able to turn the key and it sounds like the deadbolt disengages but the door won’t open? So his immediately said, “I have to drill it, it cost you $150 do you want to pay?” I was like; do I have any other options? I thought that was kind of steep and drastic. As a professional, I assumed he would try other options (re-key or pick the lock) but later on, I realised this way he could stick me with a steep bill for a new deadbolt. As I had no choice with groceries going bad and he was animate that there was no other option I agreed. After drilling out the deadbolt, it was apparent that the deadbolt was totally fine. So then, he proceeded to drill out the doorknob and the door opened. You would think that as a professional he might have come across this scenario in the past and would have drilled out the knob and saved my deadbolt. Now that the door was open, he goes, “Oh you have two holes now, you want me to fill, it cost you $60 and $60.” I said, I might have some old hardware but he was not very patient at all and tried to hurry me along as he was probably in a rush to gouge his next victim. So I said fine go ahead and he proceeded to put two different color pieces of chrome hardware that did not match and looked to be used. $300 later I ended up replacing the hardware he installed anyways and when shopping for nicer hardware I discovered the knob he charged me $60 for was $15 at Home Depot. Suffice it to say that the whole ordeal was quite disheartening and I felt I was taken advantage of. Also, I will not be using Century Locksmith in the future and will tell my friends and family to stay away.

I called as I needed to get a duplicate Key. Our keys had been stolen, then one of our vehicles was stolen... it was a nightmare. Not only did Century Locksmith make me a duplicate car key for a fair price but they also reprogrammed the keys so the key that was stolen would no longer work in my vehicle. I can confirm that they offer the best prices in the area for duplicate key cutting. Endless thank yous' to this gentleman and company.

Highly recommend this company! Fast service at a great price. I had gotten two quotes one from Eagle Ridge Chevrolet and one from Carter Chevrolet to get a new keyless entry remote for a Chevy Malibu and they both quoted me over $250 and said it would take an hour to program(which I knew was a lie). A new remote, including programming from Century was $85 and he programmed it in under 4 minutes. I will be recommending to all my friends and telling them to stay away from the dealerships.

One word. He is a magician. I lost my car key and was trying to call everysingle locksmith available in Vancouver. My car is 2011 ford transit connects. Almost all of the locksmith said NO to me. I was depressed. Luckily i tried his number and he picked up. Fortunately he said that he can make my key and will be there within one hour. Honestly i had lost all hopes but he made my car key within half an hour. I highly recommend him.

But a couple of days later, I called the guy again for one key that's wasn't fitting well. I was surprised that the guy showed up just for a single key and did not charge me a cent for it. I am going to assume that new ownership took over after all these other stellar reviews were posted cause these guys now are a total clown show. They called me to ask if they could be 2hours late for my appointment which I accepted. Then the guy shows up an additional half hour late. Get my front door lock re-keyed and then additional keys made for the front door and 4 other keys for building access. So a total of 8 keys. 2 keys this guy cut didn’t work at all yet he blamed the door locks even though the other 2 keys of the group of 4 worked fine. He comes back the next day only to tell me he can’t explain why of the 4 same keys he cut 2 worked and 2 didn’t. He left us with 2 less keys then we paid for and we just got so frustrated that we told him to leave and to keep the $10 he owed us. If I could I would rate these guys negative stars and I would do it with joy in my heart. Also anyone whom I spoke with on the phone from Century had horrible command of the English language which made this hell all that much worse. Use anyone but these guys please, I implore you. Save yourself the grief we went through. Addition as of May 22 / 2018: And now you can see who I'm dealing with by the owners response to my first comment/review. I'm crazy right? This guy legitimately tried to bribe me with $50 to remove my review. I basically had to tell him 5 times I wasn't removing my review and I even tried to explain to him what the review system was for but he wasn't having any off it. He called me out of the blue and I was stuck on the phone with him for 45 minutes as he begged me and attempted to bribe me to remove the review until he finally gave up and ended the call. He called me a liar twice and offered me a bribe yet I am the crazy one. This guy is totally out to lunch. It now makes me really question the legitimacy of all the high star reviews he has. Also let it be known that I have received no money from this man as I refused to deal with him at all after the second service call solved nothing. He claims he refunded me money.....he offered multiple times but found out quickly I can't be bought. So which one of us is the liar here? 8 keys paid for, and only 6 work after two service calls, not to mention my time sorrily wasted......but I must be lying.

David was great. Picked up my call on my first dial. Mentioned he could be at my place in half an hour. Our front door deadbolt could not be locked or unlocked with any of our keys suddenly. David evaluated that our keys and the inside of the deadbolt were worn out. He was able to cut new keys and refresh the inside of the deadbolt in his van in 15 mins. Works as good as new now. Quick, professional, nice guy. Would definitely recommend.

This business helped me out when nobody else was able to! I lost the only set of keys to my car and they were willing to drive to North Vancouver from Surrey the next morning to create a new key and fob for me. Not only were they the only ones willing to help me in a timely manner with this difficult task, but they did it for a super reasonable price. The Volkswagen dealership was the only competitor willing to do the job (and I called many locksmiths!) but it was going to take them over one week and would cost significantly more... I'll only go out of my way to leave a business a review if it is really well deserved, these guys were super helpful.

I needed a programmed key fob for my car. I emailed David my car info and the key FCC #. He said he could do it. I drove out to his office in Surrey (his home actually) as he wanted to charge extra to come to me (what’s customer service anyways?). I asked how long it would take. He said one hour because BMWs are very “complicated” (so right off I was nervous). I went for a walk and came back and waited another 30 minutes. He had his laptop and other equipment hooked up to my car and tried stating a few times. He went back and forth between my car and in his house. BTW, he had the doors open when he did this and the car was parked on the street, draining my battery and potentially a hazard to traffic. I asked how it was going and he said its “complicated”. He told me that my car has a “complicated” computer and that he would need 5 hours or maybe overnight. I asked why and he said he had to take the computer out! I asked if he had the right software and if he had done any BMW fobs before and he told me he had but each car is different and depends on the computer in the car. This didn’t feel right as you shouldn’t have to take a computer module out to program a key if you have the proper training and software. As well, I thought there might be a chance he would mess up my car’s systems. I declined and left. The 1 star is for the reasonable quote and the timely response to my email.

Called around 9:30pm on a saturday night, still took me in and helped with my car. My trunk release was not working, and my key was not turning to manually open the trunk, causing me to actually break my key. 2006 Honda Civic. In less than one hour I had a brand new key programmed and a new lock cylinder made and as a bonus my trunk release was fixed. Great Service especially when most places turned me away.

My car is Dodge Caravan, I wanted to copy one key, I went to dealer shop in Chrysler auto-mall in Richmond for three times, and unfortunately they couldn't make a key for me and told me that Immobilizer module need to be replaced, and it cost me $400 or more, so total cost will be at least $600 for copy one key. After searching from auto-store and repair center, I found this company (Century Locksmith), and try to ask them to fix the problem. To my surprise,they only spend 15 minutes to fix the software problem, and I don't need to change module, they save my money (at least $400 plus tax). Not only save my money, but also quickly copy my key and providing excellent services. I want to express my appreciation to the guy whose name is David Zhang from here, and also tell the others that David is a real expert for copy any key. Thanks Karina
