When we were locked out of our new home due to the doors being installed with commercial-grade storage locks, I called The Flying Locksmiths out of desperation because we had nowhere else to go. We also needed to change the locks on our new home, so it was a win-win in many ways. They came out within 30 minutes of my call, got us in, and came back the next day with the new locks I wanted, all while charging us for only one service call fee. They were more affordable than a lockout service I have used before, and their Schlage residential locks were very reasonably priced. Their technician Nate was especially courteous and prompt in helping us get setup safely in our new home.

I called all over the Twin Cities looking for someone to repair an automatic door and sadly couldn't find anyone. I somehow stumbled upon TFL's and spoke to one of their office staff who said they could have someone out the next morning. The tech showed up (during a pandemic) and was very professional, knowledgeable and kind. He assessed the situation, came up with a quick fix to keep the door secure and safe from intruders until he could get the proper items to completely repair the door. The quick fix only lasted a few days but that wasn't the tech's fault, I was extremely happy that he did it in the first place. Days later I received a call that the parts arrived and that two techs would be at my site to remove and repair the door. They came - they fixed - and months later the door(s) are still working great. These guys are great and their fast!! Some might say they fly.

We had some problems with our remote access doors, card readers with electronic locks. I tried to get our usual vendor to come out, but never received any answer. Another of our usual 'go to' vendors for issues with these locks never showed up and stopped taking my calls. The Flying Locksmiths answered, and I had an appointment scheduled ASAP. The locksmith who came couldn't get the system to work, but another showed up and now my system is running perfect. Nothing but good things to say about Flying Locksmiths.

We have a few older commercial buildings and had been fighting shutting and locking the doors at night. After a call to them they were quickly addressed. A person in Massachutes answers the phone and knows nothing about KC. They do not do automotive lockouts not even sure they are a local company. You have to dial the 816# with a one for a long distance phone call. Kinda weird.

Great experience with Dash. With an old barrel key lock that unexpectedly sprung closed on the roll-top desk with our internet connection hardware that needed rebooting for a family of six, I was in a tough spot. I knew I needed expert help and decided to try The Flying Locksmiths. I found the dispatcher to be prompt and responsive. When he arrived later that same day, he was well versed in the workings of the old-style barrel lock I had. Within a few minutes he had the lock picked and the desk opened. I would recommend trying The Flying Locksmiths to anyone with a tough lock that needs to be opened in a reasonable time-frame.

Both doors are commercial grade and most locksmiths weren’t willing to discuss it, as the industry seems to be dominated by old school/low tech. Night and day difference once I connected with Eric and his team. More than a dozen meticulously-bulleted emails laying out my options, prompt answers to all my overly-granular questions, an ability to weigh in on the highly technical aspects of the project, a final install that met functionality/cost targets perfectly, and excellent support afterward. I’m now the proud owner of fully automatic door locks which I’ve networked into my home automation system, allowing for presence sensing, key fob activation, and temporary access control. I can even unlock either door from anywhere in the world via cell phone. Geek heaven - thanks guys!
