I was very happy to find someone open 24/7 when I locked my keys in my car. They were super fast and friendly. The entire thing was done with less than 40 minutes after I first called, and my locksmith was pleasant and gave me advice on submitting to insurance. My only complaint is that I asked for a quote and the dispatcher gave the impression it would be in the realm of $35, $19 to send the tech out and $15 to unlock "if it was simple." The total was actually $150 - $19 to send the tech out, $35 weekend fee which was not mentioned on the phone, and a $96 unlock fee. The unlock only required 1 tool and less than 5 minutes so I don't know how that price jumped from $15 to $96. I didn't have another option so I paid it and am very happy to have my keys back, but I'm a little peeved at the vague and inaccurate quote. Overall the experience was quick and easy.

Final Update: Nope. Changing review from 2 stars (initially, a simple report about disorganization) to 1 star. When Nick from Rocket Locksmith read my 4 star update update (below), he revoked his commitment to issue a partial refund. The company texted me multiple times over the course of the workday, attempting to use this refund as leverage; they would not issue unless I changed the update to a 5 star review or removed it completely. I never contacted Rocket Locksmith for a refund, so I refused. Other than this, I would have recommended them highly. This exchange reduced my impression of them, but good luck. UPDATE: I got a telephone call from Nick at Rocket Locksmith. They are really working hard to correct this error. (Described below.) Nick, on behalf of Rocket Locksmith, acknowledged and took ownership for the confusion about the price. He has offered to honor the quoted price plus installation. They say they will initiate a refund, today. I warned Nick that I'd post an update if I do not receive the refund, but it sounds like Rocket Locksmith is sincere about protecting their reputation by providing great service. Initial Problem: The company was a little disorganized, which contributed to me paying double the initially quoted price. Although all were very friendly, I was provided multiple quotes by multiple company representatives. Initially $15 per lock, including installation. Once I booked the job, I asked for a quote on a higher quality lock. Then, the quote became $300 for 6 locks, including installation. The price I was ultimately charged: $370 for 2 locks. I did not protest because I was appreciative of their help. It was last minute, and the weekend, so most places were closed or not answering, and the locksmith was friendly and speedy. I would have given Rocket a 5 star review except I feel very cheated on the price. I'd consider a small claims suit except all quotes were on the phone, not in writing, and I didn't protest at time of payment. Therefore warning to all - be clear that pricing is consistent between company telephone rep and the serviceman.

Receptionist gave me a bit of a hard time because I made an appointment on a Wednesday when they didn’t have a technician and no one called me to let me know. Luckily Glen was very helpful and understanding of my situation and after 3 months I can drive my car again

Based on other reviews I’m sure they do some services well, but if you are locked out of your house this is not who you want to call. Complete disaster. Online and on the call they suggested $20 for the trip and approximately $35 for the work and was told they’d be there in 35 minutes. Something came up and they were 30 minutes late. When he did get there the charges jumped to $150 for no apparent reason. Then the guy couldn’t actually get any of the three different doors unlocked because he seemed to have no idea what he was doing. After 20 minutes of getting nowhere with a drill tool, he said he could take out the locks completely (damage) which I had no interest in. Called another company who came out and actually used a lock pick set with some WD40 and had it open in 30 seconds. I had a bunch of family in town and didn’t need the extra hour wasted with them stuck outside in a storm

super sketchy company. Called and they said a lockout would be $19 for a service charge and then it would start at $35. I told the woman the make of my car before she quoted me. The guy comes and tells me it's going to be $150. I said the woman told me it would start at $35 (I have had a locksmith out before and it cost me $60) He said it was because it was a new car, thats why it's so expensive. I dont' know why the operator didn't quote me higher if she knew what type of car it was. Told him I was not paying that and paid him for the service charge and decided to find someone else. They called me back 15 minutes later and said he could do it for 75. I told them I found someone else who would do it for 60 and they said they would ask and call me back. Called me back and said he would do it for 60. Then he never showed up. Would never use this company again. they are a ripoff and unprofessional

Husband called to request lock service. Tech called me and came to location which was a business. We asked for the lock to be picked. He explained if he couldn't pick the lock that there might be damage to door or lock. Within 5 minutes he was in the room. The lock was picked.. No damage to door, No damage to lock, and mind you nothing was replaced.. 500$ for this service. My husband called to tell them that was ridiculous and cost was NOT explained like that. If so we would’ve went with a different vendor. The lady asked if anything was replaced he said no and then she said she would talk to management. They called back and said that was standard fee for commercial weekend service. We will be filing a complaint with BBB. I wouldn’t recommend at all

Firstly, I was surprised at how promptly they showed up at 11pm on a Monday. The receptionists first language obviously wasn't english, but she did a great job at setting up the appointment. The keysmith wasn't the most friendly, but he wasn't rude by any means, really just about the work. Took 20 minutes for him to make the key. Gave me a emergency one for the doors just in case. Deadbolt lock replacement cost $331 for a middle of the line lock, including labor and tax. The service was good and fast, but the cost was ridiculous (you can buy a deadbolt yourself for way under $100 and install it yourself with minimal effort). The tech said I had to pay in cash and so I had to drive to an atm while the tech followed me in his truck. He held my driver's license for insurance that I would pay. Would not use this company again.

We called them to give a quote to fix an interior door lock. The Locksmith, who was a sub contractor from Bond Lock and Key, said he wouldn't be able to tell us what it would cost until he opened the lock to see what's going on (fair enough). Before we authorized him to continue, he fixed the lock and handed us a bill for over $500. It took him 45 min plus parts. The price was outrageous. However, he did fix it. When I called the company to speak with someone, which was clearly a call center overseas, they said they would need to 'google message' the manager and that he would get back to me. Having never heard back and being hung up on several times by 'Erica' and 'Trisha', I would highly recommend you use another company. Oh, and they charge an additional 8% if you are going to use a credit card.

On Dec 3rd, I called from Blue Springs and the polite guy arrived within an hr, he pumped open the door a little of my BuickCentury2000, and opened the door handle in less than 5 minutes, it was my only option due to cell phone battery being low. Advertised online at $30, on Dec 4th the manager agreed to refund me $50 by mailed check because I was initially overcharged at $130 because the guy kept racketeering the price up. Does verbal agreement mean anything to this company? It is January 12th and I have not received the check yet.

Used them about 3 weeks ago. Paid $250 for a new key fob. (They don’t cut the key btw so I was unable to even get in my car today once my key fob stopped working.) After a few weeks my key fob just stopped working, now Im stuck out in the snow and cold. Tried to call the number we used initially but no answer. Only that someone would call me back. It’s been over 2 hours. I tried looking their information up by their number but it couldn’t be found. Finally got the name from someone else (person who referred them)and I looked up the company. They have a lot of different numbers. The other number on their website did work. I spoke to someone who knew that I had called! He said someone would call me back...Initially my boyfriend called because I couldn’t get through. They told him once we buy the key fob it’s not their problem?!?! We just called another locksmith and will have to pay again. DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE. THEY ARE SKETCHY.THEY DONT ANSWER YOUR CALLS BECAUSE THEY HAVE YOUR NUMBER AND WILL NOT HELP YOU. IF WE ARE AT LEAST ABLE TO GET OUR MONEY BACK ILL ADD THAT TO THIS REVIEW. Well I got a reply from the owner (responded to my review)He said that if I called within warranty they would have fixed it. I purchased the fob on 12/14/2020. I even sent them a picture of the receipt. Notice that all the bad reviews are “fake”. Why has no one called me back then? Owner also claims they do cut the keys. As it turns out, they needed a copy of the original key which was not available at that time. So then how did they cut it?? I see their responses to negative reviews saying to call them but as I said they won’t canswer or call back. Also no one has added to their reviews that things were resolved. Fake?!?! Look who is calling the kettle black!! Very bad customer service. And they use bad fobs. Had to have another locksmith come save me and comparing fobs you can see the fobs this company uses I are not legit. If I’m fake then why have you not called me back??? I’ve called a dozen times and waited over 4 hours!! I posted a picture. The top one is the fake. It also weighs nothing compared to the new one I just bought. The silver buttons are not the same, the buttons are crooked. See bottom button and the logo is very off. They keep stating I should have called. Should I post how many times I’ve called them? They keep saying someone will call back how do they make it right if they don’t call you back? All their responses are that “you should call”. Well as of 11 am today I’ve still not received a call. They do However have time to respond to negative reviews.

DO NOT USE Rocket Locksmith under any circumstances!!! In the state of Missouri you do not need to be licensed to work as locksmith and they send out people with no experience that do hack jobs. Kevin Murillo had NO IDEA what he was doing. Now, he is not returning my calls. Since this was google verified I thought the services would be up to par. Google you need a better prescreening process because Rocket Locksmith is ripping off thousands of hard working Missourians. Do me a favor and check your records to see how may claims/ complaints you have against Rocket Locksmith, I am sure you would notice a trend.

Our front door was jammed last night so we called to get it fixed. First the guy who came was SO RUDE. He was throwing stuff around and barely spoke, he didn't even talk to us to give us our best options. Second we were charged $100 for him to remove our door knob. The $20 service fee was fine but $80 to remove a door knob and he was here for less than 10 minutes. I didn't even ask about replacing because I couldn't stand to be around him for a second longer and I am sure it would be costly. If I could give negative stars I would.

After he got my key out my car he left my passenger side door wide open with my keys on the side mirror preparing to leave. The service provided is not only a life saver, its convenient and hassle free. In my case, I lost the car key to my 2007 Mercedes Benz. I avoided the bureaucracy of dealing with the dealership. The quality is adequate especially as it relates to keys with a fob containing a computer chip. More importantly, finding a provider that services foreign vehicles was likened to finding that needle in a haystack. Lastly, that all comes with great customer service.

My husband lost his key to his 03 F-150. I had a key that opened the door and fit into the ignition... just didn’t start the truck since it didn’t have the chip. After making calls to several locksmiths, it appeared ballpark would be approx $160-180 for 1 key. The tech arrived 45 min late, but I let him do his thing while I waited in my car as it was quite cold. I expected the tech to let me know the estimate prior, but the next thing I knew, he called me out of my car and declared it would cost $425 after tax!!!! I only had $220 on me as I was NOT expecting that fee nor would I have APPROVED the service if he had presented that to me. He insisted on me driving to an ATM to withdraw more cash, but I exceeded my daily withdrawal. Since he was late, I told him I would have to meet up later since I had to bring my daughter to a doctor’s appointment which I was already running late for. He took his keys back, but refused to give me my money back. I called the company to let them know of the experience and how the tech did NOT abide by the WRITTEN service statement on their website. BE CAREFUL WHEN USING THIS COMPANY! Not professional at all! Price was VERY UNREASONABLE! UPDATE!!! Nick from Rocket called and took my statement. He was VERY professional, listened to my experience and was sincerely apologetic. It has been an unfortunate on both ends as this tech was new to them. Needless to say, I am getting a refund on what I *should* have been charged and what I paid. They definitely accepted responsibility of the rouge tech and righted a wrong. I can say that they have been HONEST and have acted with INTEGRITY which is rare now a days. (I changed the review from * to ***** because of the service on the backend.)
