Dont know if I will ever use them again. I brought a lock in to have a key made. The tech that helped me messed up the last blank they had. The manager/owner came to see what he could do...in the middle of that the other manager/owner came and said to him that they had another job that was more important and i would have to leave it. So...because someone locks themselves out of thier house, the customer sitting in front of you in your store is not important enough to help and would have to wait! In my many years of service industry jobs (including working as a locksmith), the customer infront of you is the most important one, not the one on the phone, the one sitting infront of you is there in peraon ready to spend money! I will spend my money somewhere else, even if I have to pay more.

Mark at Dawson's Safe & Lock was absolutely wonderful! He helped my elderly mom open her safe after being on the phone with her for over an hour, walking her through every step to get it opened. Something in the safe had fallen and messed with the lock to be able to open it with her key. Mark told her how to reset her combo code so that she could open it by combo. Mark was very patient and courteous and we are so grateful to him for his help!

Only place in The Woodlands area that could aand was glad to cut my motorcycle keys. All other places had to have my motorcycle brand in their computer memory bank (which ONLY had Harley-Davidson conveniently) and were unwilling to cut it because they apparently didn't know HOW to do it. We were visiting from out of state, and we lost the key to our Yakima car topper (so we couldn’t lock it and protect our belongings). I left a service request through their website, and they called first thing the next day. They confirmed they could most likely make us a key from the locked lock, so my wife went by. Sure enough, they were able to make a key based on the unmarked lock, and they even made us a duplicate so this wouldn’t happen again. Cost about half what I figured. Nice and knowledgeable folks!

Dawson makes accurate key replications that work u like the local big box store. We also use them for an after hours weekend emergency locksmith call, they were prompt and helpful. The after hours rate is 1.5 times usual labor cost.

One of the best customer service experiences I have had in such a long time. I needed a car key copy made and they did a perfect job in under 10 seconds. Yes they used a machine that made it that fast, but it was the way they treated me that made me walk out so happy. Awesome amazing people here. They also do security systems and had an amazing selections of safes in store. I will recommend them to anyone and the owner/manager should feel proud of the great people they have working here.

My needs for a locksmith totalled three times over the past twenty years. Each time I have used Dawson Safe and Lock, with the latest being today. I brought in an old steamer trunk that was inadvertently locked by someone who wanted to be helpful; naturally we don't have the key. The locksmiths were a pleasure to visit with as they worked on my trunk in the parking lot during a typical August hot day. Great service, great pricing, each time over an extended period. I wouldn't consider using any other service.

All locksmiths are not equal! I had a unique situation with a boat key that could not be identified even by the dealer on a 2018 boat. A new cylinder for the boat would have been very expensive. Another Lock shop tried to help me for over an hour to no avail. The folks at Dawson came through literally in a snap. I was in and out in less that 10 minutes. For any keys or lock needs I will now only work with Dawson.

This is a wonderful place. They have helped me out twice. Once I had a small locked safe that I lost the key for. They helped me get it open. Another time I had lost a thumb lock on my bathroom door. Mark, the owner, helped get me a replacement. He actually had a set in the shop and pulled it out of the package and gave it to me. Super nice!
