First let me start off with the fact that this man was punctual to the minute, he arrived exactly when he said he would, I showed him my bike and started talking to him for a minute, he said he had to run back to his van to get a tool so I waited for a second looking at my bike thinking about riding it, and before I know it he comes back with the key already made! If you’re in pickle like I was and didn’t know which Locksmith to trust, go with Dave. He was very honest and very careful working on my car. He even left sat sideways in my seat and left his shoes/feet out of the car while programming my key so that car won’t get dirty. Really good guy.

Dave and Prime Locksmith deserves way more than 5 stars for the service he provided to me. Recently, I lost the only key I had to my car. Prior to losing my key, my backup key had the computer chip break and I was quoted over $200 for a replacement key and told that I would have to go into the mechanics shop to have it replaced and reprogrammed. Then this week when I lost my key I didn't know what I was going to do. I called several other locksmiths found here on Yelp and no one called me back. I called Dave at the same time, and not only did he assure me he could come out to me and create two new keys he quoted me a price that was way more competitive than anyone else. Not only did Dave come out and complete the job he was constantly in touch with me about when he would be here and showed up on time and finished the job when he said he would. Great experience. Lost my car key, as prime locksmith where making a new key a neighbor came over with my lost key. The young man making the key just made a copy of the old key and charged me way less then my original estimate even though he was already in the process of making me a new key. Dave came and reinstalled a keyless lock installed by a different locksmith and made everything right at a very reasonable price. Honestly I think Dave undercharged me. I had called a locksmith I had used in the past to install a new keyless lock on my front door and rekey other doors. Highly recommended this locksmith. He is reliable and does a great job. When the keyless (electronic) deadbolt he installed had an electrical problem, he went to home depot, picked on a new one, and installed it free of charge. Of course, I still payed him.

I was locked out of my house on a cold, snowy Saturday afternoon when my key wouldn't go into the lock. I called Prime Locksmith, who was recommended by the local True Value store. Dave apologized because he had two customers that he was already scheduled to help and wouldn't be able to come out for a couple of hours. He tried to see if another technician was available to come sooner, with no luck. In less than two hours, he called to say he could come out. After trying a few things to get the key to go in without success, he said that the lock needed to be replaced. In less than 10 minutes, I was in my house and had a new lock. I needed my new house re-keyed and was in a bit of a rush to have it done. Dave was willing to come by after 8pm to take care of it for me and was fantastic. Not knowing, I had originally called a 24 hour locksmith service a few days prior, which turned out to be a scam. Dave knew exactly who they were and what they were doing, and assured me I had made the right decision to send them packing when they told me my locks could not be re-keyed and I would need to replace all of them for a total of $500. Seeing as I live on the 7th floor and have no great desire to die, I decided to call Prime Locksmith. He showed up within 15min and with a really good price quote and got me in my apartment easily and without making loud noises that could disturb others which I greatly appreciated. Fast forward 2 days later, I managed to rush out and leave my keys in my apartment (again). He was extremely nice and friendly, got the job done quickly and was even able to make a copy of my key so I could just keep one in my backpack and not have to bother him again. I called Dave on a weekday, after hours around 7:30pm @ night and I got Dave on the phone after the 2nd ring, how cool! I had the pleasure of dealing with Dave after being left out in the rain (literally) when another locksmith decided to never show. Dave could of charged me whatever due to the position I was in but gave me a flat rate upon arrival (lower than other normal rates). After messing with the lock forever I knew it should of cost more, Dave agree'd it should of cost more but also mentioned I should of been told before the work began so I could decide whether I wanted to proceed or not so he was sticking with the original quote. Its hard to find people of specific profession who can be trusted, relied upon and used time and time again...locksmiths being one of them. I saved Dave's number and would suggest him to anyone. *I never leave reviews either, this is probably the 4th review I've ever left online in my life. Dave Harter (owner) programmed an additional keyfob for my 2017 BMW X3. Do NOT believe ANY youtube videos that claim you can do this. Any year beyond 2012 is impossible . I don't know what to compare that price to, but I needed help late at night and it came right when I needed it. There is a reason Dave gets a very well-deserved 5 stars ⭐ ⭐⭐⭐⭐ . He is very organized, skilled, shows up on time, works quickly, and gets the job done perfectly. He installed two new keyless entry locks and changed the code on an old Schlage keyless entry. The new installations involved cutting holes for the deadbolt and cutting into the door. They work smoothly and perfectly. The 2 new installs and changing a code on another cost only $210 (I bought the locks) for his expert labor! He went above and beyond by actually putting screws in to secure the door knob (which wasn't even part of the lock installation). In the past I've used his mobile service to create a new car key to replace a lost one and he also coded a new remote control to lock and unlock the door. He is amazing, honest, and very reasonably priced. No matter what your locksmith needs are, Dave is your guy!

Needed to get into our storage closet on the balcony that we have not been able to access for a while. Knob and lock were weathered and rusted over time. We verbally received a quote for the visit on the phone and was told less than an hour wait till someone can arrive. Dave (friendly) showed up in less than one hour! He quickly gained us access to the closet. He offered to replace the doorknob for an added (reasonable) fee and did so quickly and efficiently in the same visit. My story is pretty simple. (I'm a locksmith in Seattle,Wa) A few months back I was stranded with a customer's car in the middle of the Snoqualmie mountains and covered by snow.
