Called twice to schedule an appointment for a simple laser cut key. I didn't need the key right away, my hours of availability were very flexible, i'm only about 5 miles away and i didn't care what it cost. Same person answered the phone both times(lady). First it was "The technician tried to call you but it went straight to voicemail" possible but my phone was on all day. Second time they straight up just never called me back. Never felt like I've had to beg a company to give them business. When i'm provided with good service, i tend to refer my clients their way. Unfortunately this won't be happening here.

My husband requested service (locked keys in car) and the tech told us he'd be out in 35-45 minutes. We had to call back to check on the tech's timing twice and each time the tech gave us a new time frame which passed each time. Two and a half hour after the initial time, he finally showed up. We understand that things happen and traffic is always questionable but it was past rush hour and I checked the roads around us and there was no traffic. Also, the tech could have proactively checked in with us if there was an issue. The whole job took about 15 minutes and cost $100. Not impressed.

Taxi lady here was at bwi dropping someone off locked myself out with the car running all my belongings inside I had nothing a very nice officer called kings locksmith for $95 half hour wait???? okay kinda high but half hour is good. Driver calls soon after says he is 25minutes away okay awesome it's like 100°. 45 minutes later call the driver he says I Took a wrong turn I'm 5 mins away???? okay 30 minutes go by finally he decides to show up completely ignored me the customer and only talks to the officer says he's running late because he got a flat had to call AAA(A blatant lie) makes quick work of the lock I hand him a hundred dollar bill ask for the $5 back but he doesn't have change so he got a $5 tip for two hours of me having to wait in the heat,my car running,ignoring me and lying I'm sure this doesn't represent the whole company but he made my already bad day a horrible day

Jose was AWESOME!! Not only did he perfectly install our new deadbolt, he also noticed that our old skeleton key system was broken, so he decided to go above and beyond to repair it. We were just going to live with it, but he took the time and care to completely dismantle and repair it. Not only that, but he also made sure I totally understood how the locking system worked (as it's an antique lock that was completely alien to me). Also, when I changed my mind at the last second about the deadbolt I had chosen, he said it was no problem at all, and happily/quickly replaced it with my new choice. He was knowledgeable, friendly, efficient, and thorough, and I couldn't be happier with his work! Our house now feels a million times safer and more secure thanks to Jose. Our church main entrance lock had become unusable and vulnerable to tampering, making our building insecure. King gave us a free estimate because we are a church. The tech was thorough and knowledgeable, and brought me to his van to show me the options for the same type of lock, as well as upgrades. We chose a heavier lock. The lock and service fee were very reasonable, and the whole job was done in about a half hour. I would most certainly recommend King! And they are local!

If I could give them a lower rating I would. Called 30 min ago as the front door lock broke and we needed someone ASAP. Lady who answered the phone said she will talk to her technician and get back. No one called me for 30 min. I called back to enquire about status. The same lady answers the phone and when I ask her about the status she cuts the call. I call back , it rings and then goes to voicemail. She could have simply told me that they could not perform service at this time. Totally unprofessional behavior. Got better service elsewhere.

Technicians Avi and Tim were both very professional and extremely courteous. They contacted me prior to their arrival. I had requested to see if my sliding patio door could be reserved. They fully inspected the door and explained that my existing patio door could not be reserved, due to the way the patio door was installed by the previous home owner. However, prior to them leaving they made some minor repairs and adjustments to my patio door, at no cost to me! Avi and Tim took the time to ensure my patio door was completely functional and that I was satisfied. My patio door now works better than before. I contacted King Locksmiths for one issue, and while Avi and Tim were unable to resolved that issue, they resolved another issue for me by making the needed minor repairs and adjustments for me. I will certainly utilize King Locksmiths and Doors for all my future door and lock needs in the future.

I went with this company after reading previous reviews and locking my keys in my car. I regret every minute of it, I should have just called back sooner to cancel, but kept thinking that they would show up any minute. The service rep was rude and kept insinuating that if my keys were licked in my car that one door should still be unlocked. The service technician then called afterwards to say that he was on his way, but an hour and a half later called a second time to say that he was on his way again. I understand that being in the DMV area traffic can get crazy, but I took a look and screen shot of the area where he said traffic was bad and surprisingly traffic is very much clear on not only that road but all surrounding roads today. I didn't appreciate the ridiculous wait times or being lied to. After 2.5 hours of waiting I gave up and called another locksmith. Highly unprofessional!

I was on the train en route home and was anxious I'd miss the call. Mike called multiple times and we coordinated a time to meet. He kept in contact the entire way here. He arrived and explained everything as he unlocked my front door. Within minutes my door was open and he was very professional, speedy and reasonably priced. In 10 mins he had gotten my car open and I had filled out the paperwork and paid him. I paid $124 which was a little high but totally worth it.

Should it be this difficult to support a local business? I cannot comment on the quality of their work since they never even called me back. I called to inquire about replacing my front door. I spoke to Shane on the phone who explained the process and timeline. He asked me to take pictures of my front doors and they would call me back. About a week passed and I heard nothing so I called them back. I was told they were still reviewing the photos and would call me back. 2-3 phone calls later over the next couple of weeks, it became clear that I was getting the runaround and that they had no intention of calling me back to provide a quote. Perhaps they don't need business or didn't want to replace my front door. Judging from the complete lack of professionalism that I experienced just from the phone conversations, perhaps it's better that they didn't install my new door. Look somewhere else.

You call and he sends someone that works with him they quote you a price and then Raise it so high when they actually do get your locked undone that you cannot afford it ... His slogan is be there in 15 min LMAO more like a a hour and a half waiting,... for so joe smo that did not have a company shirt on and did not have any id stating he was the locksmith.. He actually looked like a bum that staggered over... I in no way what so ever would recommend this complete scam of a business he is running (KING LOCKSMITHS) SCAM.

This is the only place I will go to have my keys made. They cut copies that work right the first time and I've never had to bring back a key because it was sticking or would not work. Embarrassingly, I am notorious for locking myself out, but King Locksmiths gets me back in every time. No matter the lock, they get me back in quickly & without issue. This company was awesome, I completely tried to install a keyless front door by myself & messed up, and I called this company the day before Christmas and they answered all of my questions precisely & quickly during the holiday weekend. Within an hour I had a locksmith technician at my house & my door was installed within less than a half and hour. I would definitely recommend them they did a fantastic good. I also, worked with the boss on a fair price for the service work. Five stars to these guys.

We were really pleased with the responsiveness, professionalism and quality of work everyone we dealt with at King Locksmith provided. All in the midst of the Omicron outbreak. We called King Locksmith after a handyman botched the trimming of 3of 5 interior doors in my son’s small co-op apartment. First spoke with Josh who answered my questions and explained process. Emailed the requested photos and info. About a week later Shane was in touch to discuss different options and their feasibility. The doors were a custom size. After another week doors were located, estimate provided and appointment to confirm doorway measurements set up. 6 days later Raul, Zach and Wesley spent the better part of the day installing the doors. All while dealing with the co-ops rules, freight elevator and city parking. We are really happy with King Locksmith. We would definitely use them again!

I called this company at 3am because I was locked out of my car and forgot my key inside wile ignition was running. The lady answer the phone was so nice and maid me feel good even when it was a really bed day. I called for the service in silver spring MD and the Tech called me after 4 min!!!!! He was at my location after 18 min!!!! Love this company! Love the way they treat me the people are great and the costumer service is fantastic! This was our second experience with King Locksmith and it was just as good as our first. Wesley and Raul took great care of us and even fixed a problem that we didn't know we had. They left our front entrance more secure and airtight and got the job done quickly. King isn't cheap but it's worth the money knowing it's done right and well.

Commercial Door Restore! My main entry door to my building has ALWAYS been a problem. The door either didn't close completely or closed too fast and slammed, but not anymore. Joshua from King Locksmith and Doors, Inc., provided excellent and prompt customer service. He came and looked at my door even before I made it home and was able to give me a quote that same day. I wasn't ready to spend the initial quote for full replacement of my 1920's door and closer, but when I asked to salvage some pieces, he obliged. He worked with me to mix "antique" with the new, and they now work seamlessly. He and his team worked through a massive thunderstorm and still installed my door perfectly. Reached out to this company regarding door replacement. Was scheduled a week out to have an estimator come by. Estimator did not show or call. I had to call them and inquire as to why he didn’t show up. Supposedly there was an emergency. Fine, emergencies happen. I was told by the lady who answered that I’d be contacted for a reschedule. No one called. I’ve emailed them twice since with no response. My business will go to another company. Appears they’re unable to do basic follow ups and have so much business they can simply turn yours away.

Beware of this company..... poor customer service and possible racists ownership. I waited for more than 30days after the scheduled date for estimate to be told, King Locksmith respectfully declines to provide an estimate. I called on four separate occasions to find out when I will receive a proposal to replace two apartment entry doors. Each time I called I was told the estimate was not complete due to material information needed to complete the proposal. Today, more than 30 days after my initial meeting with the estimator, I was told they decline to provide an estimate because the estimator felt disrespected because I arrived 15mins late for the scheduled appointment. I even apologized for my tardiness due to traffic back up. But regardless, what type of business continues to string a customer along eating for a proposal estimate for more than 30 days only to tell the customer they refuse to work with the customer. If you don’t want to work in certain neighborhoods in DC then it should be disclosed. However, I asked prior to making the appointment if Kings Lockstmith serviced SE Wash DC and I was told, yes. So buyer beware, Kings Locksmith is not transparent nor professional when dealing with Afro-American businesses or people.

I called about a week ago because I was locked out of my house. I talked to the dispatcher named Kylee.. She went above and beyond to explain to me that I didnt need to get a new lock system but just a simple rekey.. She helped me out and saved me money (which is always great). She had a great personality and was very understanding as I didnt know what to do and probably asked a ton of crazy questions.. Definately would recommend this company to everyone..
