We locked the keys inside of our car and called to have someone come out. I see the locksmith from inside the building start to get inside the car (without notifying or having anyone present, which should not be legal considering we could’ve asked him to get into any car at that point) he gets inside and hands us our keys (no replacement keys were given bc he “didn’t have the equipment on him”) and left.
30 minutes later we go to leave, and the handle is broken on our passenger door. My boyfriend calls first, and the locksmith claims he didn’t touch the passenger door (I watched him go in this way). I call back, tell him I specifically saw him and he says “they don’t touch the handle to get in the door” and then later backtracks in the conversation and says they DO touch the handle to open the door after unlocking it. So which is it?? I tell him I want to speak to the boss and ask for the number. He refuses to give it to me stating the boss will call me back. The boss calls, is instantly defensive and does the same thing, says one thing and then backtracks and says another. He says they don’t touch the handle that they use the key in the door to open the door after unlocking, yet our passenger door doesn’t have a key entry??? So obviously the handle has been touched at some point.
Strange that the door handle worked perfectly fine and then the locksmith comes out and now it’s broken, but they “had nothing to do with it”.
We obviously will not be using them again and I’d advise you to call someone else as well. Nothing they did during this trip was professional and I would not take the possible risk of having my property damaged.
