My son used my car key as a screwdriver and busted it into two while we were moving my daughter into her new home. We are from the Twin Cities so I was nowhere near my extra set. The hardware store couldn't help with it being broken and a chipped key so they recommended Minnesota Locksmith. I called to see if they could help and thankfully they said not a problem. I stopped into the shop and within 15 minutes I walked out with a chipped key that worked perfectly. They could have easily charged more with my desperate situation. I want to thank Minnesota Locksmith for helping me out of a jam and for being so reasonably priced. I would highly recommend Minnesota Locksmith!

Quality, quick service. I had a duplicate car key made. The car dealership refused to sell me a blank key, they would only sell me one with buttons and quoted me $280. I walked in to Minnesota locksmith and walked out with a duplicate key for driving and a blank that would unlock the door for under $100 bucks. They saved me!

I had two keys cut and programmed there which was done quickly and for a decent price of 75 dollars. BUT he was very rude to both me and the other female customer in the shop. When he went to program the keys he just left out the back door... at the same time the other customer was asking him a question and without even telling me that he was going out to my vehicle. He also asked us if we knew what OEM means (I did, the other customer did not) and how we all just buy cheap parts from China. My keys were from my dealer so they were not cheap parts from China. Very, very unprofessional.

Were recommended to go here to get a copy if an old key. Great shop! Old shop so has a lot of the old items and significant years of experience. Keys worked on the doors and trunk but were to large to fit in the old ignition so took a couple trips to get it perfect. The guy was busy but juggled well.

This is a great place for anything involving keys or locks. I got two new key fobs for my car and it took about 20 minutes for them to grind out two new keys and they work perfectly. I would definitely recommend this establishment.

I had a replacement fob programmed and new door keys cut for a car. The keys required title verification which they were able to handle. Took a couple hours though. They seem to have more business than they can handle when only one person is in the shop. I had to leave and come back the next day. Nevertheless, it's the only place in town, other than paying the high price at a dealer, to get keys done for most newer cars.

Went above and beyond to help me. This shop is fully capable of handling modern car remotes/cutting emergency keys and I recommend checking here before paying a fortune at a dealership. Absolutely worth it to pay an expert to deal with some things and was very reasonable in price. I would rather support an independent tradesman vs a big box store so I will be back.

My girlfriend and I were locked out of her car on a cold night and so we gave this guy a call. He said that it would only take 30 minutes to get to us and it ended up taking 45 minutes. He asked how we were and I told him that we were cold and he brushed that off and told us that he wasn't cold. He got the job done but was late and rude to us.

If he can't make a key for you.. you are most likely out of luck! I highly recommend. This was the one place in Duluth that could make boat keys for my Lund. Prices are reasonable and service is quick. The go to place in the twin ports.

Awesome service. Needed new car keys and a fob. Dealer quoted me at $200. Aces and battery plus quoted me at $150. MN Locksmith? $93 total and it took maybe 5 minutes total to perform the labor. $3 for the key, bought the fob at AutoZone for $50, and he programmed it for $40. You will not beat their prices anywhere else.

Really rude and kept repeating himself saying it's a foreign car like I didn't know it is one. The web page really need to be updated stating that they can't do any foreign chip keys. I thought it says they can do it all. Probably can't even do any chip keys. False advertisement. Very disappointed, especially when he hung up the phone on me when I wasn't done talking.

Very very very rude! After reading the other reviews I feel like he just doesn’t like women. He asked me 3 times if I made sure the vin number for my suv was correct and then proceeded to tell me where it is located on a vehicle. I talked to him on the phone and decided against sending him a copy of my drivers license thru text ( have had identity theft before) so I just show up. Well apparently that is how EVERYONE does it and he wouldn’t let me forget.

Horrible business even under new management! Does not understand that keys have an implied warranty of fitness and MUST work in the lock they made it for or the money you paid must be returned. If you have issues with this business take them to conciliation court!

He was extremely rude and pretty much yelled at me when I brought in my old and broken house lock. He didn't allow me to ask questions. I don't know if he is an angry white misogynist or what. He returned my credit card without out saying thank you, good-bye, or anything. The new lock he provided worked with some tinkering and was keyed to match my current keys, so he appears to be competent.

I brought two vintage motorcycle ignition switches to them to have keys made for them. The key codes were stamped on the switches so they should have been able to cut new keys. They had them for 3 weeks and I decided to go back and check on their progress, they made keys for one switch but had broken the electrical connector on it from taking it apart which shouldn't have been necessary if they used the code. This was pointed out to them but I received the deer in the head lights look, no gee were sorry, but this is what you owe us instead. And while there dealing with me some guy walks in needing help from across the street and start talking to him and ignoring me. I was told the codes didn't come up on their computer, I've checked online from two separate locksmiths that cut keys from the codes and they are valid and the keys can be made, simply amazing!! Thankfully I got their before they tried to make keys for the other switch which was really the most important one. In a nutshell these guys need more education in their trade and how to run a business, find someone else!!!
