Very quick response on a Saturday. Eli provided courteous, efficient service and provided some valuable insight about doors. He was able to cut keys for us, saving us the trouble of having to go anywhere else to get new ones cut. He also provided hardware for our door; hardware that would not be available at a hardware store. This is a great physical location and it offers very knowledgeable service, and they have a far greater range of key blanks that the big boxes do. Many specially locksmith's are only mobile with no physical location that you can go to. While you wait for your keys to be cut, there are tons of middle Eastern food products in the very spacious and nice grocery store that Everest locks is a part of.

Super work replacing a key on a Civic. The new key required ECU reprogram which was no issue for them. The cost was 80 plus tax for a key without remotes (doors/trunk). Shop owners were very knowledgeable and friendly. Shop is a bit vintage, but they have all the keys you could ever want/need and sometimes that's what's important! Would definitely go back for new keys. A+

I just had Feras to my home to replace my broken door handle and lock that a family friend had installed from a local hardware store. Feras had the project completed within an hour and he had a beautiful door handle and lock on hand in his van. A lot of wonderful reviews, however my experience was not. This establishment treated me like I was bothering them and interrupting their regular daily routine. Paying 40.00 dollars for under 10 minutes of work involving the cutting of a couple of keys is probably a better price than most would charge and I appreciate that. I really want to be fair and honest with my assessment of this company but at least look at me when dealing with a client and what about a thank you. I explained I was a first time client and had to travel quite a distance. There was no response. I was just trying to be nice and create polite conversation. As a customer ( first time or not) I want to be appreciated, I was not. My feelings are not hurt by the way I was treated, but next time, I will hopefully find a locksmith company that exudes a friendly and appreciative atmosphere, and has some knowledge of what customer service is.

I definitely recommend Everest and Elie. I lost my transponder car key and when calling around for estimates, Everest had the best price (1/2 of what the dealer would charge), with no appointment needed. The lady on the phone indicated it would take 10 minutes to complete the job and she was true to her word. I was lucky that when i arrived at the store, i was served promptly though a couple who arrived soon after had to wait a few minutes until i was dealt with (so you may not be in and out as quickly as i was). The store also has a wide variety of locks and security products for sale which if i ever need any, Everest will be my first choice.

I screwed up. Broke a motorcycle key in half. Tried to glued it back together to get a copy made. That didn’t work. I tried to weld the key back together, huge fail (don’t do that). I called 10 places and no one could help. On my 11th call that locksmith still couldn’t help but said: you should call Everest. As if that was a known thing. Well sure enough, Everest saved the day and didn’t laugh at me (too hard) for making a mess of things. Very professional and full service. Why call anywhere else.

Stopped by to get two backup keys for my car. The folks there offered a price that completely decimated the dealership cost, and offered super fast service (for cutting and programming the keys) to boot! The gentleman who helped me was even generous enough to eliminate the codes of any "lost keys" in my vehicle's immobilizer system so they would not be able to start the car should they be found. I drove away very happily with two working replacement keys, and it was all done without even having to remove the key from my key chain!

I was looking to get a copy of my car key made, which was a push start. My dad recommended this shop as he had used them before with good results. A bit of a rocky start as the fob they had on stock didn't match my key. they tried it anyways and it didn't work but they didn't' charge me for it. They said that if I was able to get the correct fob they would program it for me. So I was able to find the correct fob and went back last Friday. However I forgot to put batteries in the fobs and they so kindly provided them for me and didn't charge me for those in the end either. This time the keys worked! I am very happy with the services provided and the level of professionalism shown. would highly recommend to anyone needing keys made.

Visited A Everest Locksmith today. I had been referred to them from a friend who had a great experience with them in the past. I was not disappointed. They were very professional, took the extra time to show me how my new locks worked and how I could customize them to fit any size door opening. They also took the time to show me the difference between a consumer and commercial grade lock and explained the differences too me. They took the time to make sure I was getting the right product for my needs and didn't try to oversell me on extra's I didn't need. While I was in there, I noticed a few safes they had on display, I asked a few questions and I got a lot more information than I was expecting. I feel like an informed shopper now. George and his crew do an absolutely amazing job! I went onsite to Everest Locksmith last weekend to get my SmartCode Electronic smart lock reset as it was jammed. George fixed the device for me in a few seconds and charged me a very reasonable fee. I called George this afternoon about installing my door handle-set and installing two SmartCode Electronic locks. I couldn’t believe that the locksmith came to my home within 15min and he took very little time to complete the job. He was extremely professional and had a great sense of humour as well. Hands down the best locksmith in Ottawa and area! I used their online form to get a quote. The response I got was prompt, and courteous. The price in the quote was fair. I went into store and I was quoted a higher price. I asked if they would honour the quoted price and showed them their quote, they Locksmith said they would not honour it. If I had the time I would have went elsewhere. I am very sceptical of all the other 5 star ratings. If the ratings are too good to be true, then they probably are.

I called to get an estimate of how much a car key programming would be and the representative on the phone was incredibly rude. He scolded me for having a key that does not work. This is a LOCKSMITH COMPANY THAT IS THE REASON I AM CALLING!!! then on top of it he was telling me I don't have the right key for my car when I know I do he was referring to a newer model car when i have the older model. And on top of all that I didn't even get an estimate he told me to find a way to bring my car to them even thought the website says they'll come to you. and when I said that he told me to pay 500-600$. The dealer ship is cheaper than that!?!?!? 10/10 HORRIBLE experience, I do not recommend.

I needed two key fobs programmed for my Cobalt. I walked into Everest Locksmith with about 20 mins left in the day. The gentleman had no problem with doing it and explained that his helper had just left for the day. He asked me to pull around back so he could still hear his phone if it rang which impressed me right away. Obviously, this business cares about their customers. He programmed one fob and couldn't do the other but quickly found that the problem was with my car and that too many fobs were currently programmed for it. He wiped it clean and programmed both my fobs in less than 10 mins. As I did not receive any fobs when I purchased the car, this made me feel even safer knowing that I now had the only two fobs that would work with my vehicle. If I have any need for a locksmith in the future, I will be returning to A Everest in Ottawa.

Our front door deadbolt jammed in the lock position. I called Everest Locksmith at one in the afternoon. They said they would have someone at the house before four. They arrived just after two. The lock was broken and had to be replaced. I asked the have the lock re-keyed for our old house keys as well. The job was done within thirty minutes. They also readjusted the striker door jamb plate for the new bolt’s position so the door close properly. Very professional. Worth every penny (and their pricing is very competitive). I will not hesitate in recommending them.

We just moved to the area and after searching high and low for a competent locksmith to install high-security locks at my house, I had the good fortune of chatting with George at Everest Locksmith. He gave me thorough information and a quick quote over the phone (in contrast with other locksmiths who took days to respond) and had the exact product I was looking for at the very best price. The next day, two highly competent locksmiths were at my house and within a couple of hours, had all my locks working beautifully. They were courteous efficient and very helpful. The price the technician gave me for ignition repair as key wasnt turning was $320. I went to pop-a-lock and they did the same job for $200 and made me a free key which everest was going to charge me extra for. Do not deal with the rude employees.

Very good service, but I did have an issue with one key I had made. First I will say this same store did replace all the locks on my doors-so the front door lock and back door 2 years ago. I needed extras of my key and tried 5 other stores and all the other shops their machine broke or staff did not know how to use they key cutter (really, even home depot...). So, finally I had someone drive me to the locksmith and told them they had changed my locks 2 years ago and I needed 2 extra keys. I get home and try my new keys and.......they did not fit in the lock? The key was .01mm too thick a super small difference. But I did call back the store and reached the owner- he was very apologetic and offered me 2 extra keys. Went back and now have working extra keys. Also had some Canada apoast mailbox keys made here- most stores I went to had no idea how to even make those and the other places I tried all gave me keys that did not work. So if you need mailbox keys, this place is great for that too. They also did a good job replacing my front door lock- they had to cut through the metal door to remove the lock. My lock had a broken part inside and would not turn. If I need more keys I will surely go here instead of other places!

I would rate this company lower if i could. the first install they did was great. however when we had them come back to put in some coded locks there was a misunderstanding of the quote over the phone. make sure you always get a quote emailed to you from this company. after the full install was done they attempted to charge me 2100$ for two locks. over the phone the quote was 18.50$ each. now i'm being told he meant 1850$. so i refused the locks. i then received a call from their office screaming at me. this is not how you handle customers. after i finally got them to agree to remove the locks, an employee of mine heard the Tech taking photos of my credit card. i immediately tracked him down and demanded the photos deleted. it wasn't until i threatened him with calling the cops and pressing charges for fraud did he agree. this company is extremely un-professional. i strongly suggest against anyone using them. should i find my card to be fraud i certainly be looking into this company. ***Edit*** The manager called me right after this review went up and proceeded to argue with me about my review. he wouldn't listen to me when i tried to speak so much so that i had to end the phone conversation. This is the most unprofessional way of business i have ever experienced. please think twice before contacting this company.
