The 24/7 tech on 8/10/19 was rude and disrespectful. He stated he was in Muscle Shoals, Alabama vacationing and in so many words it was an inconvenience for him to drive all the way back to Huntsville, Al. In a very disrespectful tone he said I will charge you $250 to make a copy of one key. He was so unprofessional. Do not give your business to unprofessional and disrespectful owners or employees. This business was referred to me by Bentley Hyundai. I shared my experience with Service Manager. On 8/19/19 the owner called me to apologize for my experience. He reassured me that is not how he want his customers to be treated. He also stated he address the employee about providing alternative options since he was not close by. I expressed no options were offered. I expressed customer service is very important and treating customers with respect goes a long way. Potentially having a repeat customer. It appeared the owner was genuine and concerned about my customer service experience.

I walked in to get some keys made, stood at the counter and waited for the employee to greet me. I let her finish her text, she never made eye contact with me. She was literally five feet away from me, I attempted to talk to her and the phone rang and she answered the phone and didn't ever recognize that I was in the store. So I walked out thinking that she would try to stop me but she didn't. Don't use this business, they obviously have enough business. They do not need yours.

I needed a key made for my truck. I supplied them with the blank and they had it it made in less than 3 minutes. That’s not why I gave them 5 stars though. They greeted me when I walked in the door. Listened to what I needed and did not question me like a couple of other places had. I just had a blank key I bought that I needed to have made to match my truck. They verified that I was the owner of the vehicle and said “Sure, no problem “ I appreciated having to show proof of ownership- knowing that made me feel secure in my choice. They came out, verified the key worked out and it was one of the easiest transactions I’ve ever had. I always recommend Brooks’s- this is just one of the many reasons why ????

I had three problems with these guys: They told me they'd call after their 9am appointment to notify that they were coming to my house next. They didn't arrive until after 5pm. When a door was coming off its hinge the tech said "No problem, I'll grab some screws from the truck." 2 minutes later the hinge was fixed. No mention of a charge whatsoever. It just seemed like he was being a good person. I don't mind paying for a service whatsoever, but I'd like to know that your act of kindness is really just a price gouge in disguise before I have to pay for it before it's too late. Their CC machine wasn't working. However, the man in the office confirmed over the phone that I could pay via CC over the phone. What was their solution? Force my friend to drive to the ATM to go get cash. Does that sound professional? It isn't whatsoever. They wouldn't have it any other way, even though it was THEIR problem and THEIR fault that their crap isn't together. Don't use these guys. They're expensive, rude and somewhat shady.

Walked in at 345pm (the website and Facebook says they close at 5) but the sign on the door says they're closing at 4. I lost a key to an ignition and so I asked if they could take a look at it to make a new key. They said the could but since they were closing soon, could I drop it off. I was told it would be a couple days because it was old, they had to find the code, impression the lock, and may have to hand file a key, fair enough. They said they'd call me in a couple days to pick it up. 3 days later I hadn't heard anything, so I called to check and the guy sounded like he had forgotten about it and said something to the effect of "Oh I'm going to work on it right now." Ok, fine. You may have had more urgent pieces to get to. So two days later, still haven't heard anything, so I call again. I get another story from the "automotive guy" about how they're waiting to hear from the manufacturer to know which key to use or something like that, but that they're going to send another message to the manufacturer. At this point it's been a week, and they still can't even give me any kind of ETA on when they might be able make a key for it. I would have at least respected them if they had said something like "This isn't something we can do at this time" and I would have been like "Ok, thanks for at least looking at it for me." But after a week, I'm not feeling very confident in their ability to get it done so I decide to go pick up my piece and take it a half mile down the road to Blair and Sons. Blair and Sons made a key for me in 15 minutes while I waited, for half the price Brook's quoted me for. I'm sure Brook's probably does good work, but after seeing how quickly Blair was able to take care of me it really drove home what a poor experience I had with Brook's.

After a recent trip,...I discovered that TSA inspected my luggage and unfortunately left the lock physically attached to the luggage in the open position. After contacting Samsonite, I was informed that I would need to get TSA to get it unstuck. After some thought, I figured instead of trying to get TSA to get it unstuck, I could try a local locksmith. Fortunately, Tim provided a listening ear,...and took the extra effort to contacting someone who may have additional information regarding this type of situation. We needed a new key fob added for a newly purchased (used) Mazda 2016 CX-5 that our daughter will be driving. We had a working key fob and one that was provided when we bought the car but wasn't programmed. (I couldn't risk having on one working key fob.) The local dealership charges $120 to add a key fob. I called Brook's and the gentleman said he thought they could do it and it would be a $75 charge. I went to their place of business and was greeted with friendliness when I walked in the door. The gentleman took both my key fobs, his equipment, went to the car and started to work. I sat in the passenger's side while he worked. He was finished in about 10 minutes. The software/hardware used to do this I know is expensive and the guy was very professional. Both of these reasons is why I was fine with paying $75, in what I believe is reasonable. Needed copies of house keys made and they did them quickly and perfectly. The real win was for a vintage 1950's jukebox we have. The people that did the repair/restoration told me that we couldn't get copies made and we were down to one key. Well - Brooks had the blank from the old key type (along with many more on the wall) and made copies for the jukebox for me. Very pleased to be able to get the copies made!

I did not go to Brook's store. I purchased and old vault and couldn't get the it to work right. I randomly googled locksmiths and I just happened to pick the best one on the first try. Tim came and did a great job for me. I was apprehensive when I bought it, afraid I had bought a 10,000pd anchor but Tim did a great job. I was well pleased with his work and very relieved that I had bought a great old piece of history that still works like new.

If I could give less than one star I would. Made an appointment for the technician to come to my residence today and was told that a technician would contact me between the hours of 12:00 and 5:00. Wasted a whole afternoon waiting. No one arrived between the appointed times and no one even had the common courtesy to drop me a call to let me know they would not be here. Never going back, Terrible customer service, rude employees.. I went in Brooks to have copies of keys made for work. The sign on the door says they close at 5, I showed up at apx 3:50. No one in sight, I waited for about 5 mins, some rude guy shows up and asked what I wanted. When I tell him copies his reply was “I hope you don’t need many” I said why He replied they were closing.
