Less than 3 dollars for a copy of my house key. in and out in 3 mins. Friendly staff. Edit: They helped me get a copy of my truck key from the code on tumbler it was only 12$ for two copy's. Good guys.

To some of the 1 star reviews, this company doesn’t do residential work and it doesn’t say they do anywhere on their website. They said they don’t do residential 24 hour service and they haven’t for 20 years. Do your research people.

Absolute losers, do not buy a thing from this company. I have the best lock that apparently can’t be serviced unless you are a commercial customer after normal business hours. Spoke to operator 1601 Maria who offered no solution or alternative phone number. This company wants my family to sleep with unlocked doors this evening and would then have someone call me when they have time tomorrow??? What a joke! Go out of business and do your CUSTOMERS a favor!

These guys are my go to for anything key and lock related. They have helped me with everything from getting keys cuts to locks rekeyed and matched sets made. Helped me one time with an emergency key cut for my car which saved me from being stranded. Great service and extremely knowledgeable staff.

The individual with the most recent review has never been to our location. The "other company" he mentioned does not have an office or frontage in Richmond. The last review is much the same as the most recent, this "person" has never attended our office or tried to book service. If we can fit calls into our daily bookings we do and have since 1988. Like any service driven business it is impossible to handle every call that comes in to our office.

Went here a few months ago asking for re-keying of my residential doors and potentially new locks altogether. Apparently this was not lucrative enough for the company as I was told they were busy. Staff took down my name and phone number and stated that they would contact me. Didn't hear a thing, not a single phone call. Hey guys, just a tip, when people come to you for residential services, they are likely concerned with the security in their home. Went with Mr Locksmith Richmond who were outstanding who's motto might as well be "no job too small". Thanks guys for ignoring this small job. Actions (or in your case "no action") speaks louder than words. If you guys don't care or are "too busy" to do small little residential jobs, then stop advertising residential services on your website.

I am giving an 1 star because the dude working there. Went there around 1 PM on Friday Feb 23 to make two copies of keys. Price is $2.50 per copy. Price is great! I mentioned the lock requires high precision, then that cold pawn-shop-looking dude took it, finished cutting within 5 seconds. When putting the original and copies together (see pic, original @top copy @bottom) with their shoulders aligned (black circle). I noticed some differences. Teeth are perfect but the tip of both copies (bottom key, in yellow circle) are 1/32" longer and slightly off (small yellow circle). I mentioned again the lock requires good precision. This dude impatiently said to me "are you the locksmith? Bring them back if they don't work". I should have asked for an immediate refund but I didn't think about it. Mind you I don't mind paying more for precise cuts. So hey! Folks, Lockmaster here for ya! Sons-of-Anarchy-style service awaits you if you are a picky-A-F individual like me! Don't question anything unless you are a locksmith. I mean who do I think I am?? I'm just a stupid engineer who believe aircraft flies through magic of unicorn and angel dust. If the keys don't work I'll write more reviews. If I am able to help you losing a $100 business for a $5 sale I am totally down!

More proactive communication/follow-up for the service booking (even just to inform of delay) would have improved the experience further.
