After buying a new home, my Realtor offered a list of local locksmiths. First one I called was retiring, but recommended Chris at Davey Locksmith and gave me their number. I felt confident after getting a solid recommendation from a retiring locksmith. He wasn't wrong. I called booked an appointment. Prices were better than the other place in town that has a shop-front to maintain. Chris was professional and efficient. He made good recommendations for our locks and got the job done. The only thing that would have made the whole experience better is if he'd brought me a coffee, but that's not reasonable, so I'm here to leave a 5-star review.

This guy is great. I had a new key cut at Home Depot where they just stick your key into one of those fully automated machines that is supposed to cut your new key. However, the key didn’t work, so I brought it back and they cut another one for me. Again, … it didn’t work. Then I went to this guy. He retraced the faulty key from Home Depot and now it works great. Home Depot got it wrong twice, and this guy corrected Home Depot’s faulty cut in a few seconds. Even did it for free!

"Why?" you may be asking...well, because Davey Locksmith came to our place today to change our entryway doorknob. He came in, and got the job done faster than it took me to write this review. He also paired up our deadbolt mechanism to match the new door handle's lock, so we now have the convenience of using 1 key for both locks. It didn't hurt that he did so while being polite and respectful, as well as leaving me with a solid impression that I just dealt with a man, and company of high integrity. My lock had been having some issues with jamming and I got locked into my house a week prior, eventually I was able to take the lock apart and free myself but I was worried it wasn't completely fixed. Then the thing I was worried about happened, I came home from work and couldn't unlock my door and my dog was trapped inside. After calling quite a few other places and getting no replies or telling me they didn't have anyone in my area I found Davey Locksmith and tried him. I couldn't be happier with his service! He could tell I was worried about my dog over the phone (at this point I had been locked out for 45mins) and came straight over. He was friendly and amazingly didn't have to replace the lock itself but just repaired the deadbolt and the door handle (while he was at it). I got into my house within minutes of him being there and Lucy (my puppy) and I couldn't be more grateful. She really took a shine to our rescuer and give him lots of loves, he was friendly with her and patient as she greeted him which is wonderful because not everyone is comfortable around a rescued pit bull. Both Lucy and myself are grateful for his kind, competent, and quick service. 10/10 would call again!

Chris was absolutely AMAZING ! I have used him twice and he is super nice and helpful . I locked my keys in my bedroom amd wasn't able to get the out as the lock on the door was an old one and needed to be picked. So Chris came over within an hour of me calling him , wore a mask (covid) and wore the little bootie covers in my house as well so there was no mess . He picked my lock in a matter of minutes and definitely saved my day ! And he even gave me an extra copy of the key for no charge ! His rates were very reasonable. If I could give 6 out of 5 stars, I would!!! Just had our locks replaced by the owner Chris. I absolutely swear by this locksmith! Fantastic business owner and fantastic person! It was 6:00 PM on a Wednesday with 45 cm of snow on the ground and every single other locksmith in town turned us down, including our buildings Strata. Seriously?! The struggle is real! I called Chris and he was ready and willing to help at a moments notice. Chris took his wife's 4 wheel drive, loaded it with a bag of tools, and 15 minutes later he arrived to get me back into our condominium. Chris was incredibly fast, super knowledgeable, and he even brought multiple color door locks to ensure he matched our building's other units perfectly! He didn't even collect payment, he told me "just drop by with the money by my office, when you can". Is this for real?! I can't remember the last time a business didn't treat me and everybody else like a number. Davey Locksmith is definitely GOAT. I have used Davey Locksmith on 2 different occasions. I had my rental house rekeyed between tenants as well as keyed initially to run all the locks off of one key including the deadbolts that he installed . Chris is extremely knowledgeable and works quickly and is easy to talk to. He know what he needs heading into a job so he comes prepared and everything is on site including his key cutting machine. When he is done, he hands you how ever many keys you need. I just sold my house, had Chris rekey every lock to match one key and I will be using Chris again to rekey and add deadbolts to the new house I am buying. If you only are reading this review looking for a recommendation then this is my recommendation, Chris is my go to locksmith period. You can't get better than affordable, knowledgeable, personable and reliable.
