I waited for over 2 hours for another lock smith (long story short but they promised they would contact me at 8 am but I still have not heard from them) before I called Coastal Lock & Key. Coastal Lock & Key is super professional and fast. I called them at 8:20 am and they arrived at 8:40 am. As for unlocking, they did it all within 5 mins! I am not sure what other lock smiths charge but this place charges around $100. I would definitely call them again if I ever lock myself out again.

no stars from me. Paid over $400.00 to have a programmable lock installed in August 2016. Within days it was discovered that one key was sticking. They came back and confirmed that the keypad was faulty. Would come back with a replacement (never did). 4 months later the faulty key fell off. They came back and said I broke it by pulling the stuck key out. Told me I had to take it up with the manufacturer. In the end I bought another lock from Rona, took the defective lock to Coastal and was reluctantly given $100.00 back. Still insisting it was "not their problem"

I would give them six stars if I could. I came in worried my Honda key was broken because my girlfriend used it for a bottle opener last night. The busy young lad looked inside making sure nothing was broken and the boss put the screw in free of no charge. I will definitely be coming back here for services in the future. Very unprofessional. Sent some guy who barely specks English tells me it's gonna cost 192 dollars just to move the lock from one door to the other, not a new lock but my own lock. I called the company and they seemed to not care and just laughed when I explained what happened.

Ive mostly used this place for car keys, house keys... every staff member ive dealt with is friendly knowledgeable. these folk are true craftsmen when it comes to keys and locks... they will tell you if there is something that they cant do ( not much) and will direct you to another nearby locksmith who may be able to. great experience everytime ive been there in the last 6 years.

A little expensive but you get what you are paying for. I went there to get my honda key fob repaired as it snapped the guy didn't only offered a stronger fob they cut it in suprisingly little time given the complexity of honda keys and also lubed up all my key slots so the key dosent sticks in the future

The staff here are awesome! I was able to get a key cut and programmed for my GMC work truck at half the price the dealership would have charged me. And Ash even took the time to teach me how it was done. I definitely recommend these guys.

I wish I can give them 0 star , these guys are BIG RIPP OFF , I dropped off door lock cylinder key was Turing only one way the old guy with glasses said its gona be $ 40 to repair and i was totally ok with that but next day when i went back to pick the lock cylinder and the lock was Turing exact the same way before and i asked him its still the same and he said no these door lock design to turn one way and i was like why didn't U tell me this yesterday so i had pay 40 dollars for work they did not even do and I took the lock cylinder to other lock smith and they repair with no problem but coastal lock didn't do any work and I ended up paying these idiot's money...STAY AWAY FROM COASTAL LOCK 78 132 LOCTION, THESE GUYS ARE BIG RIPP OFF , YES BIG RIPP OFF

I have been visiting them for about 2 years now, always reliable and fair prices. This week my SUV's FOB started to act up. I did some online research which said my SUV may need some expensive electrical repair or trunk lock actuators. I decided to take my problem to this Locksmith before I go to an workshop, they diagnosed that what i needed was just a simple battery replacement. Great initial experience but terrible back end customer service. After one of the locks stopped working a month later, I was told the ones installed are very low quality and they never sell them by choice. Not having been given this information up front, I wanted the locks changed to a better brand. I was willing to pay the $150 for new locks (after having paid $150 the first time) but felt that they should waive the labour fee. They were unwilling to do this as they basically had a" not my problem" attitude despite admitting how terrible the quality of the installed locks were. I'm going to pay someone else full price now because I'm not willing to work with a company who won't stand behind their work whatsoever. Go elsewhere.
