My management company deals with this company, so I had no choice but to go through them. No communication at all. They had to order a parts in for me. A month went by, nothing, called in and they guaranteed me it'll be in in another month. Another month past, nothing, I call again, and they don't call me back, and now they just ignore me. A company with this type of service shouldn't exist at all. BTW, I contacted the manufacturer of my hardware, and they've sent me the replace in two weeks, no questions asked. AVOID Citywide!!

Absolutely terrible service! Not professional at all !! owner of the store it's a very rude and low class person... when they made a mistake copied the wrong key! I was droving 20 minutes all the way to their store, they copied a wrong type of the key, I drove back to the unit, find out the key didn't work and then drove all the way back to their store again, just said one sentence of complaining -"how can you give me the wrong key copy" then the owner was screaming at me said: I don't want to hear your complaint , just go, the key will work... any minutes you will get parking ticket... I didn't expecting anything but at least they should give me apology!

…Absolutely lack of manner and not professional at all !! I spoke to Danny, probably the owner of the store, no education, does not know how to talk to a client and extremely rude person. They have come in three occasion for the same issue and always charged for something different. Called for a job they did last year, to find out if it was still under warranty and started to scream at me and told me not to call them back. (For sure I am never going to call them back). Definitely, no manners, no knowledge of what they are doing and no education, I will never recommend them.

Useless. Dropped off Medeco cards to get keys cut and was told they would be ready in two weeks and ordered an accessory. After 3 weeks I called - first couldn't find my order, then told me Medeco said it would be another week, then said they weren't able to cut the keys. Complete waste of time dealing with these guys

I purchased Medeco locks from Citywide Locksmiths almost 2 decades ago when my business was located in Toronto. I eventually moved the business to Vancouver. I tried to get the keys copied out in BC but no locksmiths were able to do it, not that they wouldn’t have, they just didn’t have the proper machinery to make it happen. I ended up giving Citywide a call in Toronto, sent them my Medeco authorization cards through the mail, they made the copies and had them shipped out the next day. What I thought was going to be a nuisance, turned out to be quite effortless. Very satisfied, thanks guys.

I dropped into the store today in order to get a few keys cut since I had lost mine on the TTC about a week prior. They were actually able to cut a new key for my mailbox which is quite unusual since not many of the key stores carry that particular blank. I got both keys cut for a very reasonable price for the area. The staff were courteous and and I would recommend the store for locks, keys and door hardware. They had more handles on display than I've ever seen in my life.

Citywide Locksmiths are exceptionally responsive. Their service is excellent and they are honest, trustworthy and pleasant. In one instance a family member visiting the familial home in Toronto needed to make an international flight but was unable to lock the front door securely. Turns out the lock was worn out. Citywide replaced the lock and configured it so the existing keys worked and the international flight was made successfully. Very recently, I needed some help with hardware for doors to a backyard deck. With Chris Denure's thoroughly knowledgeable and professional help I was able to order the correct replacement hardware, remove the old hardware and install the new hardware successfully. Chris even provided the right strike plate at no charge. Thank you Citywide!

I thought the service was good and prompt, however I felt heavily overcharged- nearly $300 for a mailbox lock to be changed. The lock and key set can be purchased at Home Depot for $4-5 and Citywide charged $50 for the part alone. The property management company of my building requires we use Citywide for lock changes, and that shouldn’t justify them ripping off tenants just because they hold a monopoly over the service. $200 for “labour” when the job took about 10 minutes start to finish is ridiculous.

We used Citywide for our whole house, top to bottom a few years ago. They were extremely knowledgeable on every level of service, from choosing the right hardware for the right application, to installation. Even now, if we need any kind of service or repair, they are immediately available to us. I wouldn't go anywhere else or use anyone else for my locksmith needs. We just replaced our kitchen hardware, and they ordered everything for us in a timely manner. When we opened a couple of handles, they were defective. Citywide replaced them immediately. Quick and easy.

I need a home entrance door key cut, called this place before I went, gave them the brand name of the key, they said they can do it. I am very pleased with their service compared to the key cutting counter of Lowes and Home Depot, because home improvement store do not have all the brand name key, and their machine won't do as good job as this company.
