We lost a set of car keys. Fob and key. Driving out of his way, we made an appointment for a new one. A half hour before our appointment, we found the keys, so canceled the appointment. Would not recommend matrix locksmiths services, i paid over $750 for a single dual sided lock. And it stopped working a few months after. I called back to get someone to come fix it and was told it would be a mandatory $150 charge for them to come look at it. I was told when purchasing the locks that it would be fully covered under warranty but now they are saying the the lock itself is covered but not the mechanism is not... so what was the warranty paid for, is the mechanism not park of the lock. After some back an forth i told the person i feel like I’m being taking advantage of and they told me “if you think I’m scamming you then i don’t care good luck finding someone else to fix it”. Very unprofessional , i would recommend you avoid this place at all costs.

What a pleasure from beginning to end. Dani phoned me ahead of time for a heads up before the scheduled appointment. He showed up early and we had a nice introductory chat about what I needed done. I ended up having a main door entry lock replaced, 2 dead bolts, 2 new door knobs, and a car key fob replaced. The two deadbolts were re-keyed no problem as well. The entire process from beginning to end was expertly handled by Dani. A true professional in every regard. Friendly, respectful, and courteous as well. Prices were more than fair and there didn't seem to be any challenges which he couldn't handle effortlessly. I overwhelmingly recommend Matrix Locksmith and especially Dani. I have an older model 2001 BMW 530i and have two keys that have been giving me problems for years. The remote function hasnt been working for about 5 years. BMW wanted over 500 just to replace the key and I couldn't justify the expense. Yesterday it took me almost 10 minutes fiddling with my key to get the ignition to turn over. It was obviously time to make a move. I found Dani and his company Matrix Locksmith Service on a bimmerfest forum, so I decided to call him. It was Saturday at 10:30 p.m. and i actually felt bad calling so late. He picked up first ring and had me at hello! He said he would come to my house and take care of it. We setup a time for today (sunday) at 2 p.m. and was right on time. I called him this morning to conform our appointment and again he picked up right away. Point being, you can reach Dani anytime! His truck is something out of a csi show, with computers, cutters, soldering machine, you name it. He cut the key, reprogrammed it and was able to salvage the computer chip from one of my other two keys. He was able to test the voltage and signal for both my chips and got all the remote functions working again. Brand new key shell, all remote functions are perfect and most importantly the key turns over like the day I bought the car. Dani is a family man, super nice, punctual and his works speaks for itself. Price is almost too cheap for the level of exceptional service he provides. It's Christmas Eve and woke up to my front door locking mechanism completely damaged and was unable to open the door from the inside or out. Danny from Matrix came to the rescue within an hour and was able to get the door open, but then also able to salvage the door mechanism by fabricating a new part on the spot in the rear of his van. Best locksmith for modern alarm fobs including programming and Lasercut key replacement. Save hundreds if not thousands if you need a new alarm fob and key compared to German car dealership prices. Or if you lost your only key, you better sit down before calling your local dealership service department as you are about to hear a quote that will have as many digits as your PIN number. Lol. In comparison Dani is very affordable, downright cheap and mobile so he will come to you and do the job while you sip your favourite cup of coffee. I checked with a bunch of other locksmiths and and he was by far the cheapest in GTA area. Great guy overall very friendly will definitely be using his services again and recommending him to my friends and family, no doubt. Also the BMW fob was amazing quality. The materials and texture was identical to OEM original with propeller logo but with a much easier access to the battery which makes a battery change a 20 second job instead of a 20 minute job it used to be with the original key fob.

Had a very good experience! Honda dealerships were quoting me 700$ to fix my ignition cylinder and Matrix quoted me 320$. The locksmith was at my house within 1 hour and the lock was fixed in even less time. When the repair was completed, i was informed that my original keys were still ok to use and the price came down to 250$. Unbelievable service, I would give them 10/5 stars if I could. I lost my only key and had no spare. They were at my car within 30mins of me calling, and had a new key and fob ready in an hour. Very professional and clearly new what they were doing. I got a quote for the same service from the Subaru Dealership for $2,500!! These guys not only solved my issue within a couple hours, but they saved me over $2,100 for the exact same service. I understand that dealership inflate their services, but 7X the cost is absurd and Subaru should be embarrassed. NEVER go to a dealership for key replacement, call Matrix instead. They will be much faster and a fraction of the cost that the thieves at the dealership charge.
