My older car (‘95 Nissan 240SX SE) is known for having notoriously thin/brittle keys that often break off in the doors/ignition. I came to Wise Locksmiths with my passenger door and trunk with key chunks in them, and with it being a coupe, I only had one door left. I was afraid I’d have to have my door and trunk locks replaced and that it would cost a fortune. I called them up and they said to swing by anytime as it wouldn’t take too long to fix. They easily fished them out in less than 15 minutes ($25) and they made me 3 butter smooth keys that they tested on all my doors and ignition ($15). So only $45 total. Totally worth it! And they were very professional and kind. I’m moving to LA next week so won’t be able to go back I think, but I’m highly recommending them to all my family and friends for any key/lock-related problems. Thank you!

I have a 2006 Prius with a very beat up key fob. I found a replacement fob online (without the chip) but was really uncomfortable trying to move the chip from one fob to another. These folks were fantastic. So friendly and knowledgeable. They even fixed the mechanical lock on the car (which had gotten stuck). I have a new locksmith--these will be the first folks I call!

Moved into a new place and wanted to make a copy of the sticky mail key the office gave us. I couldn't get it made in the local department store lock kiosks. WOW! I had such a great experience with Wise Locksmith. I had gotten my car stolen and the people who stole it messed up the ignition key, so I went straight to Wise Locksmith. Josh, the guy I worked with throughout the whole ordeal, was absolutely fantastic. He walked me through everything he was going to do, and when we had issues (which we did, but they weren't his fault), he was sure to follow up with me via phone consistently to ensure I came back so he could fix it. I can only say wonderful things about Wise Locksmith -- from when I spoke with Chris, the owner on the phone to Michael, the technician that came to my home. Because of the courtesy, professionalism and all around kindness during my time of duress, I would recommend these guys to everyone. I had a dog locked in room that was accessible by Schlage connected keypad lever lock and the battery had died (without warning) and the back up keys were lost. Michael was dispatched and arrived in short time, picked the lock, rekeyed the lock and made two new back up keys, all in under an hour! My nephew is a locksmith in another state and I said to Michael as he was leaving, that I hoped people are as pleased with my nephew's work as I was with his. Wise Locksmith is also very fair with their prices and give you the cost upfront.

Went in for a quick rekeying of a couple of doorknobs. Even while juggling a lot of different responsibilities the guy who helped me was extremely courteous, friendly, personable, and efficient. I never felt like a bother. He was just as great over the phone too, which is appreciated. My wife is in real estate and has successfully used Wise Locksmith in the past. So I thought I’d use them for rekeying a rental unit of ours. I was clear to the scheduler that it was for a rental unit where I left a key lock box on the door and gave them the passcode to the lockbox. The scheduler did not have a problem with the plan. On the scheduled date they for some reason couldn’t find my unit so they left. I call the scheduler back, reconfirmed the information they already had written down and they said they would be out the next day. The owner Chris is able to find the unit this time and gives me a call when he arrives. Chris tells me it is their policy that they cannot rekey without the owner on premise in order to avoid theft. I can understand the policy and it makes sense, but it would have been rather nice to know when I told the scheduler I wouldn’t be there. Chris mentions I have to be onsite or he’ll walk away from the job. I certainly was annoyed, but told him to “OK, walk away then” and nothing more. My phone history shows this was at 12:19PM. My renter calls me at 3:06PM and tells me there is a key broken off in the lock of the door, preventing him from getting into the home. Chris with Wise Locksmith says he didn’t see a key broken off in the lock when he was there and had no knowledge of how it happened. It’s just an amazing coincidence that it happened within the 3 hours of him being there and not in any of the previous 11 years I’ve owned the home. I had to hire another locksmith that could come out immediately to let my renter in and charged me an additional $70 to remove the broken key. I should report Chris for vandalism, but without video proof and the damage only worth $70, it’s certainly not worth the effort. But, I want his prospective customers to know what type of character the owner of Wise Locksmith represents. Even on the most frustrating of days, this is completely unacceptable behavior from a locksmith.

We bought a house and it turned out the seller didn't own keys to every door. After hours of stressful packing, loading, and driving, we arrived to our new house to find that we were locked out. After an exhausting day of moving all we wanted to do was get inside. We called Wise Locksmith and they were extremely polite and understanding (which was great since I was probably mostly incoherent after the stress of moving and being locked out). They were very upfront about the cost and details of the service. The locksmith arrived in about 30 minutes and was able to unlock the door and let us in within 10 minutes. Wow what a great locksmith. I live in Olympia and my mother lives in Lynnwood. We thought she lost the fob (which she has done a couple of times before) for her Prius. None of the fobs she had worked. We put a new batteries in all of them, but none worked. So I arranged for Wise locksmiths to go to her car and program a fob to fit her car. Again, I'm arranging all of this from 85 miles away on the phone. They discovered her car battery was dead, despite the fact that we had just spent over $200 for a new battery at Toyota. In any case, they got someone to charge her car and found that an existing fob then worked. They could have taken us to the cleaners, but they were honest and professional in the several interaction I had with them. I am totally impressed.

RUDE!! Wish I can give negative star. Brought my new programmed key for them to cut thinking they might do a better job than FredMayer/ACE.. I was WRONG, first they told me it would cost $5 to cut a key and charged double without explanation, then they messed up on the cut and couldn’t get to work, took them over an hour trying to made it right and my 1.5 hrs sit there waiting. Finally they got my key to work but the key fob was in bad shape due to many tries... ZERO apologies for my time and the messed key. The guy also super RUDE slammed my car door when he frustrated with the key... never again!!!

Chris Weissman is the WORST locksmith I have ever had to deal with, and I regret calling him. He never notified me of any estimate and went ahead and did whatever without my consent. I am a home manager and he came and said whatever he wanted to my tenant and did what he felt like. I didn't authorized any work order, nor was I aware of what was going on. I last talked to him in September 2009. We talked about changing the locks but I asked for an estimate first. He called me on Feb. 2010 and told me over the phone how much I owed him, and asked me when I would pay it. This came out of the blue and I was not expecting it. I hadn't spoken to him in the past few months! The bill was over $1,100... he told me to pay or he was going to call the police on me, and I was going to be arrested... I have never heard this before in my life! He told me he needed to pay so I could support his business payment, house payment, truck payment, his pet expenses, and his girlfriends ring down payment... It sounded to me like he needed cash quick and this was the scheme he cooked up. I have called him for his services a few time and for different houses. He might have the impression that he can scam a large amount of cash through me. All the other times I called him he gave me an estimate and notified me by phone when he was on the property. All in all I never expected this from him. I STILL have not gotten an bill from him... he just wants my credit card or bank info over the phone. He has been calling me every few min. on my cellphone and I have phone records to prove it. He is now harassing me and won't leave me alone. I feel very threatened, especially since this is the first DAY I have been told my bill!

Chris was referred to me by a customer of his who recommended him very highly. I called him to replace a front door deadbolt that I thought had been damaged. After a quick moment studying the lock Chris knew what the issue was, and a minute later it was fixed! No need for new hardware. He made the trip out to Shoreline from his office near Thrasher's Corner, repaired the lock, and didn't charge me! It's hard to find good folks like Chris, I highly recommend him.

Someone attempted to steal my vehicle with a screwdriver and broke it off in my ignition. I called 2 dispatch locksmiths prior to Wise. The first technician did no work said he'd need to do some research and come back. An hour later the dispatch told us he can't help us. The second tech we called never even showed up. We called Wise Locksmith out and they were timely and professional. The technician was able to drill out my damaged ignition and give me great information to save money sourcing my own part.
