After frequent follow-ups (through phone calls and email) to schedule work with them to provide a quote and to fix the pin on a non-active door, it seems that with each phone call, seldom answered nonetheless, they keep adding a price that was not discussed in a prior phone conversation. When I politely asked them to cancel the service call, I was a little taken by surprise when they simply hung up on me, considering how persistent I was 3 weeks prior in trying to do business with them. We've worked with them in the past and was surprise that this experience wasn't the same as the ones prior. The fact that the owner called to follow-up and wanted to mend the issue was professional and commendable. Hence the 3 star... hopefully he can communicate with his staff again in regards to how they should treat their potential customers.

Rip Off. They wouldn't inform me of the fees in advance, not even estimates. I had locked myself out and was in rush. Only after the guy arrived and started the work were there mention of fees. Even then it was vague and no actual amounts. I was stressed from being locked out and late for work and he took advantage of it, that's the worst part. Only after the work was done did he inform me as he was holding my credit card that it would be $185 for the deadbolt (on top of the $150 for labour and $40 for the service call which I knew about and was ok with). It's a cheap deadbolt that would be $50 anywhere. When I had time the next day to actually review the bill and contacted him, he said they were standard fees. Odd since they won't disclose these "standard fees" in advance.

I was looking for a local locksmith to replace and rekey the locks at my new house , I found TOP Locksmith Vancouver and we set an appointment, They arrive on time, rekey my locks and replace the very old ones that needed update, and on the front door we reinstalled wireless keypad lock that I can control from my phone as well, that is awesome so easy to navigate.We also installed extra lock on the top of the door for the back door that goes to the pool ( protection for the kids ). One of the WORST experiences one could ever have with locksmith! They gave you one price over the phone (I was told $95 to rekey onsite and including 4 keys), when the locksmith showed up, wanted to charge $30 more or will leave the lock there unfinished. I called back the TOP locksmith customer service, basically the customer service said they did not have their own technician and will not back up with their original price quote. The locksmith they sent is a SUB-Contractor! They do not have their own people!! So I said at least you should back up your original quote because that was the base of the agreement - the customer service person said if I wanted the lock to be changed, have to pay the locksmith with the additional $30.00 or they will walk. This is the same thing as hi-jack. If all you need to do is to setup a website and give out some quotation when people wants to change /install the lock, but you sub-contract out everything to a locksmith, and when the guy showed up, you don't even back up the original price quote - if that's the business model, what is the value of your company? I would expect at least you should backup with your original quote. A business needs to keep its promise to customers at least, if you still call this a business. A total disappointment and very upsetting experience!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Total waste of time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Be aware of all the good reviews because that's why I called them, but obviously the experience taught me a great lesson.

DO NOT GET TRAPPED!!!!! The worst company i ever had to deal with. I would give negative star if it was an option. I called them to find out if my office requested their tech to come change our door locks. I was told by their agent that he will call me right back coz he was not able to find my address into the system. During conversation with him i never ever said that i want their services,as i was just calling to check if they are the one my manager called in for help. Guess what, they sent their subcontractor to our door and he charged $100 fee and didn't even do anything. he promised to email me invoice but never did . Total rip-off!!!! I called Top Locksmith company & a locksmith came by the next day. I told him we needed seven doors in our house re-keyed. He seemed like he was unsure he could give us one key for all even though another locksmith 4 years ago keyed them all the same. He spent a few hours working on the locks then said he had to take some of them with him & would return. After 2-hours of waiting I phoned to see if he was coming back. He finally came back & spent another hour or more sitting in my driveway filing a key. Finally it started getting dark & he said he would return the next morning. We went to bed later with one lock missing on the garage door. By noon the next day I had not heard from him so I phoned their office to find out where he was. The girl in the office said she would track him down. She called back about 1.5 hours later to say he was in an accident & in the hospital but would come by the next day. By that time we were fed up with the lack of service because after several hours at our home he had made no headway at all. I told her to tell him not to bother coming by the next day as we would use another service. I told the girl we wanted the lock that he took with him returned. As of this morning we have not heard back from them. This is an extremely unprofessional company & I would not recommend them to anyone. The locksmith they sent dd not seem to know what he was doing.

DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE AT ALL. I was at one of my favorite spots to eat in the city and the restaurant owners unfortunately had to call these guys to unlock their business after locking themselves out. These poor excuses for lock smiths came very late and would not apologize for it or give any explanation as to why they were late. I observed and heard them being very rude to the owners of the restaurant, I have never seen such rudeness in my life and the owners of said restaurant are some of the nicest people I have ever met in my life. They had customers waiting and were assured the lock smith would be there within 30 min but they were an hour late and rude. Here is where things get bad. after the job was done and paid for these horrible lock smiths left 2 one star reviews on the restaurants google page without even trying the food, they did this out of spite even though they were the ones in the wrong. How petty can you be? Do children work here?

Edit: owner threatened my husband that he would call the police on us if we didnt take this review down. In all honesty, yes my husband verbally lost his temper at the technician who left us stranded and agrees he shouldnt have done this. But blackmailing us with supposed "footage" is on another level. Anyone who would leave a woman and baby locked out of their home does not deserve your business. These are not nice people. We paid $150 to get the latch fixed on our front door. It only *temporarily* fixed the issue. It continued to happen, although we were eventually able to get the door open. I called back to report the issue and was told someone was going to look up my file and call me back. They never did. Once again, I am stuck outside my house with my dog and baby unable to open the door. They eventually sent someone out but neglected to tell us we would need to pay another $150. I refuse to pay twice for one job. A different company then came out to fix it, and said it should have been replaced to begin with because the particular type of handle we have is not good. And that Top Locksmith should have known that and told us. My guess is they purposely don't replace it, knowing that the same issue will happen again and they will then be able to charge you to fix it for a second time, third time, etc.
