Awesome service. Reasonable prices! Miracle!

Way over price and expensive. They are open until late... that is good point if you are in rush. But when I call them to get a price estimates in advance, they didn't give any estimates for a very simple job like copping a key with exact model number of key provided by me... and they want to see the key first. After they see the job, they quote 5 times over the price of the job and I had to ask them to stop and go with next locksmith and do it by 1/5 of their price.

Stay away. I would not recommend this locksmith, due to egregious pricing and poor communication. I was charged $479 to replace a single side of a deadbolt that was not complex in any way. Beware!

Avi is very helpful. Today he fixed garage openers for my client’s property. When I called them ask multiple service, they said they would try to fix garage openers. It has been for a long time, the garage opener could not open the complex gate. I asked neighbors they had the same problem. This winter it rained quite a lot. Great place to get keys--plenty of variety to choose from: smaller colored keys, keys with a small battery that lights up and can be replaced, disney, looney tunes and KELLOGG CEREAL ICON KEYS. personally I got the Rice Krispies Kellogg key---before I noticed they had a Keebler Elf Home Key! They make car keys with chips, those without... and they blah blah blah BUT TRULY COME CHECK OUT THE KELLOGG CEREAL SERIES.

If I could give this place zero Stars I would. The claim is to be a 24-hour locksmith service. I locked myself out at 1:00 a.m. I called this particular place at 3:08 a.m. I received several promises that a locksmith would contact me within 15 to 20 minutes. Did not receive a call from an actual locksmith until 5:50 a.m. I do not think a company should be able to advertise themselves as 24-hour service if they a, do not answer the phone or b, do not have the services available within a reasonable amount of time.

I called around for a locksmith right before 6PM and many places were closing soon. I got a hold of Prime Locksmith and mentioned I was less than 10min away and they stayed open for me. Such great customer services! They helped me so much by doing this. I definitely recommend this locksmith if you ever need any key copies or any of the services they provide.

This company sent out a locksmith that tried to argue with me over whether or not my door lock was broken. I told him for 3 days the lock had been slipping and wouldn't catch when I tried to open it (it would eventually after much turning). Same thting happened today but it wouldnt catch. Finally it opened and he claimed it was because someone must have been switching the lock position which was impossible. I explained again that lock is never locked and no one switches it. He argued with me and laughed and said it must be my God or my dogs. I asked my neighbor who came over after hearing the commotion regarding my door lock and sure enough, the lock is broken. He is on his way to home depot to fix it himself. If you work with this company be prepared for condescension and attitude. This person just didn't believe the lock was doing anything out of the ordinary because he didn't think it was possible the lock being in the vertical position could slip to a horizontal position when the very heavy door shuts. He never even looked at the inside of the lock. He has a hard time listening. I suggest Van Nuys Lock & Key or a kind neighbor if you have one. UPDATE: had Van Nuys Lock & Key came today to install keyless entry and sure enough he confirmed the lock is worn. So thanks for nothing guys!

I brought my 2003 Honda Element in to get the door lock fixed because my key wasn’t working. They were are to diagnose the problem and fixed the issue with the lock. It was a big job because they had to take apart the door to get inside the lock but the charge was very reasonable. Highly recommend.

So many paid reviews...well, here is a real one. They couldn't give me an estimate price for a key I needed so I had to drive there. I needed to cut a key for a truck by its code which should not be an issue since they have those codes in their system. A guy behind the register texted the owner for a price, his reply was 80$. That is the way overpriced for a one truck key. These aren't made of gold. I said thank you but no and went to another place where I was able to get that key for a 15$.

When I went in to get a key made I had no issues. The staff was nice, funny, and helpful. The issue arose when I called and asked if they programmed clickers for garages and gates. They told me they did with no other information. When the guy arrived he said they don't do gates they only do garages, so I brought him to my garage. He was unable to program my clickers to the garage door even though they had been programmed to this door previously. He tried to sell me a clicker for over $100. He didn't end up programming anything and tried to charge me for programming a clicker that already worked before he arrived. He charged me $65 dollars for showing up and doing nothing. He was also extremely unprofessional and rude and didn't wear a mask. Tldr: if you're looking for a key to be made they're fine, any other services run the other way.

Making an appointment seemed easy via the online portal. I got a text from an unknown number with no information other than "Hi. I’m from Locksmith company" I asked to confirm what company they were with because it seemed a little weird. I different person showed up so I could not text to confirm when they had arrived. once the locksmith arrived the price kept increasing. They will charge additional costs and not tell you till the project is over. Either ask for an upfront quote or save yourself money and go elsewhere.

Came here to get my key fob replaced as it had cracked and was coming undone. The guys were nice, but I'm extremely disappointed in the quality of their work. I don't think they had a matching keyfob for the make and model of my car, so instead of telling me, they just decided to drill the holes into the best matching one and call it a day. You can see in the picture the rough edges around the buttons. And you guessed it -- the buttons stick. For the $75 they charged me, I was expecting a little more craftmanship from them.

Just went to this place again....I've been having problems with the remote for my Chevy Tahoe and I knew I could purchase a new one there. Omar was, once again, super helpful. Instead of automatically pushing a new remote, he asked if I had recently changed the battery (which I hadn't). Problem solved! Although I was a bit sad because the case to my remote was cracked so I was looking forward to getting a new one. So Omar told me that I could buy a new case as well. Problem solved again! Instead of spending $85 on a new remote, I spent $28 on a battery and a remote case and it works perfectly! BTW, they are more than just a "key shop". They sell padlocks, door knockers with peep holes, and lock boxes for keys. This place is awesome and Omar knows his stuff!

Bought two new Schlage lock sets, door knob and deadbolt for front and back doors. Needed one set to be keyed to the other, one key for both sets. Gave to Prime in retail packaging and returned in the same manner with everything in place, as given. Four keys, two original and two made to match, all worked well, with one being exceptional, sliding into the lock with very little effort and working the lock, locking and unlocking, the same. The others were a little rough, taking a little effort, expected for new locks and keys. All four keys looked the same, including color making them easy to identify to their locks. I have had a made key, that didn't work right, hard to insert and get to lock or unlock, very frustrating, and it never got better over time. Had another new key, that I rub my fingers on, when brand new, and it made them itchy. I suspect, after the key was cut, metal shavings from the process were never removed or cleaned from the made key. No such issues with Primes work, which I found proper, caring and professional. I feel they delivered, what I paid for.
