Over priced!!!!!! They tried charging me $220 for a remote key copy for my push start vehicle, I told them I could program it myself and they said that is the price without programming it. The remote key is only worth $50, which Spinello Locksmith Company in Rockford gave me the honest price.

Needed to have locks installed throughout our office and have our current locks rekeyed. Jeremy was great (a/k/a my favorite locksmith)! No matter how many times you screw up and have to call him back because people change their minds or things are not thought of, he always came back when I called and was very helpful and patient! I will definitely use them for any locksmith needs in the future!

75 for 1 minute job . . . the guy showed up seconds before my brother was seconds close to unlocking the vehicle our selves. . . with out our approval or reassurance he unlocked the vehicle with a key from another vehicle model. I mean the guy seen we were close to unlocking the car. . instead of asking if we still needed his services. . he opens the car with out any greeting or word. No assurance on if this car was ours what so ever or if this was our vehicle. We couldve been robbing a vehicle & the guy would of opened it up for us ???? just watch out cause some staff are careless.

I felt the amount charged for programming and cutting they seems to be quite high. Prior to me another person did the same for his car. He was charged $105 for the same service. However he charged me $135 for my car. I had OEM key. Looks like moment they got to know I have OEM key for programming they quoted more. For programming they ware charging $70 and cutting $65. For 10 minutes just they charge too much.. They don't give the quote over the phone. They ask to come they and ask us to take decision. This is the business trick they follow. Also they charge based on person to person. I won't recommend this service.

Horrible Experience. We had to drive all the way across town and came to no solution and a grumpy staff. We walked in and had to wait 5 - 10 minute because the only staff member was on the phone. We told him the problem (Which was to remove a hitch-lock on our car) and told us to pull our car around to the back. We did so and had to wait another 3 minutes because he wasn't that prepared and had to collect his supplies. He didn't talk half the time and he only wanted to saw off the bolt (Which he couldn't ) and said we can't help you and said goodbye. Very dissatisfied.

This company has horrible customer service......!They came to cut a key for my old explorer and unfortunately the hood was stuck. I was told they would cut the key for the original price which included programming but because they would have to come back tomorrow there would be another programming fee of $60. So when questioned about charging for the same thing twice I was told because I was complaining he would take $30. I promptly said no thank you.....Do not use this company if you care about where your money is going!

Unethical business! I came to get two of my cars key fobs programmed/cut. I was told over the phone they would charge me $75 dollars for the programming and $15 to cut it. When I came they cut one of my car keys before testing it out. The key didn’t work and they still charged me for the cut (car #1 $60). Then they asked me if I called for the price and said yes but since I didn’t call within a week they made up their own price of $95 dollars just to program the key fobs without cutting the key. So I was charged $160 to program two keys fobs and cut a key that didn’t work. Please if you can go somewhere else do it. This business is just a scam!

There's a reason why these guys are top rated. I came here to get a key fob programmed for a 2011 Prius. I bought a used one from eBay but that didn't work out (no worries, I returned it). So, Oliphant ordered a new one instead. Super fast service. They were done before I returned with a pop from across street. Prices are very reasonable. They were a solid $100 less than the dealership.

The technician that came out was very professional and this place had the keys in stock unlike the other places that took 2 to 4 days to order. Price was cheaper than the competition and they arrived promptly. Would definitely recommend if u have any locksmith issues. For me I lost my car fabic or whatever its called and they were the only ones that had things in stock and were ready to go plus they gave me a door key for the car in case I lock my fabic in. Oliphant completely saved the day for me. We bought a new car a few days ago and it only came with 1 key, and conveniently it got lost 2 days ago. After searching high and low outside and inside the key was nowhere to be found. We called dealerships that all wanted upwards of $250 for a new key and then $150-$200 to tow the car on a flatbed to them. I called Oliphant and within 2 hours I had 2 brand new keys from the manufacturer (not aftermarket!) Not only do my keys work, but he also cleared the programming on the car so that these two keys are the only ones that can start it (just in case someone found the keys and were to try and start it!) then if we find the key we can call and have it programmed to the car! Sam was quick, efficient and professional in getting us taken care of. I highly recommend them for anyone in this type of situation!

I stopped in Rockford for gas and broke my only motorcycle key off in the tank. After many calls, only Oliphant could help me. They extracted the key, drove all the way across town to get key blanks, since nobody kept them for the old bike, and then made two copies of the broken key. I was worried because they couldn't quote a price until complete and the trip to the shop took a long time, but it was very reasonable.

I have had keys made at this shop twice. On both occasions the store clerk was rude and abrasive. When asked a question he was insultingly dismissive and could not be bothered to give more than a terse response. He made a couple keys for me, they worked, but I will not be returning in the future.

On the rare occasion when their work does fall short, they are professional and more than willing to fix the problem promptly. Oliphant service person was supposed to call when on his way. Didn’t happen. I loved the fact that they could come out on same day as call. Job is rekeying 2 doors & 2 deadbolts. Service rep did rekey both doors rather quickly. When he presented bill we tried first door and keys did not come out of locks. It took a while but he did eventually fix the key issues. Considering price versus work done - Let’s just say we weren’t blown away.
