Called ahead & he had the best price to replace my key fob (that I thought needed to be replaced). I saw a long line & thought "Oh man this is going to take forever." was in & out in 15 minutes. I was so grateful I thought needed a new key fob, He checked it & said 1st thing always start with a new battery.. I had just replaced it a month or so ago, he said you cant use cheap batteries because you never know how long the have been sitting on the shelf. So good to find honest people. I defiantly recommend Mr. Key!

The manager Carlos screwed me out of $60. I bought a lock cover for a doorknob that cost $60 frigen bucks! My wife hated the idea because it was a fire hazard, so when I took it back, the manager said "all sales are final, it says on your recipit:" Then he said I can have store credit and threw the lock cover on a pile of five others he had in the corner. I HAD to spend $60 frigen bucks as a damn lock store! It didn't cost that guy nothing to give me my money back. I was still going to buy about $30 of stuff there. Instead I left with a bunch of crap I didn't need and will never go there again. This used to be the only lockshop I would go to Slim's Key Shop in Ontario.

I have been screwed over by many locksmiths who will give a quote and then charge double. Not this place! At Mr.Keys they stick to the pricing they give! Compared to other locksmiths in the area, they are the most reasonably priced, and the fastest! Amazing customer service.

I got some specialty keys online (heros armory . Com had keys from Kingdom hearts and final fantasy I just could not pass up). I was going to go to the home improvement store to get some the keys cut. Then noticed the over crowding and lines, no thank you. I remembered just a stones throw from there between game stop and hobby lobby was the key shop/lock Smith. Professional, polite and speedy service. Lots of space(a small almost open air shack), no line and plenty of room even if people are waiting. Cut on a few seconds, normally fresh cut keys are a bit sticky. These were like butter and perfect out the gate. Also they have a lot of cool unique keys of all shapes and designs as well as keychains. Got my keys in less than 10 min and was gone. I highly recommend them.

I went home and put my key into the door and the key broke off in the lock. I took the knob off and took it into Mr. Keys and asked them if they could take the old key out of the key hole and they told me it would cost $10 to do the job. Why would I pay that if I can just walk next door to the Home Depot and pay $12 for a new knob, and the guy flat out told me to go and do that then. I took the knob to Ontario Locksmith in downtown Ontario and the guy there took out the broken key and lubricated it for free. They just lost themselves a customer.

The business post it’s mask policy which states, no mask, no service. Whilst waiting outside I noticed a customer unmasked and also the customer service personnel unmasked also. When it was my turn to be served I asked the attendee if masking was now optional. He refused to answer my question. Due to his failure to respond to my legitimate question, I told him I would take my business elsewhere. He snapped back by saying “that’s ok”. I am not sure if his behavior had anything to do with my race, but in the current racial climate, he leaves me to wonder. Having done business there before, I am a disappointed customer. Darlton L

This place is a tiny (but fully stocked) stand-alone shack between Hobby Lobby and Home Depot...but their extremely knowledgeable staff will quickly and competently size up and copy your keys in under a minute. The guy knew immediately which blank key size my irregular key needed without flinching. Home Depot wasted 10 minutes of my time before telling me they didn't, in fact have the right key blank. At Mr. Keys, I didn't even have time to check where my next appointment was on my phone before they were handing me two new shiny copies. I'm impressed. I will come here first instead of Home Depot, next time. Thanks Mr. Keys!

After losing my car key fob, the dealership said it was going to be almost $500+ to reprogram and replace and it would take 1-3 days. Mr. Keys had me re-keyed and reprogrammed within 40 minutes and for half the price. Mr. Keys is the place to be!

I only needed to change the main key of my house (4 doors, same key). The guy was unable to perform this on my main backdoor and told me I had to buy a new lock for the door (door has been there only 8 years and keys changed 3 x prior without any problems). $180 later, the next morning, I couldn't even fully place the key in one of my doors. I called the owner and after major words of complaint, he arraigned the SAME guy to come and fix it. Since then, my main front door is easily locked, but I have a difficult time even getting the key out of the lock for a few minutes (5x). Now, I'm not able to get my key OUT of the main door lock. I have called the owner and he 1st comments that it's the weekend. I DO NOT recommend these people!!

Within weeks, the keys that were purchased from and programmed by Mr. Keys ceased to start my car. I thought I was having an electrical issue until I took the car to the Ford dealer, where they found that the keys were dysfunctional. Mr. Keys refused to refund my money (even after I presented the Ford diagnosis & Mr. Keys receipt), and BBB was also unsuccessful in acquiring a refund. GET YOUR KEYS MADE ELSEWHERE. I lost $65. + tax for each of the 2 keys, and $290 + tax for the diagnosis.

I got there about 10 minutes before they were to close at 6pm. Someone was being helped, one person in line, I became 3rd and still one more lined up behind me. They took care of all of us, one at a time, quickly but carefully. And professionally, I might add...beats any competitor for key making, plus they do the keys with chips, and make sure that you're getting the right thing! They don't want to take your money if it's not going to work! This is my 'go-to' key and lock place from now on. Reasonably priced and they make house calls, too!
