Been using Martin and Sons for about as long as I've been in Real Estate, approx. 25+years and they always do a great job. Keep me informed, are careful with the homes they change locks on and are excellent at matching up hardware colors and finish. Once I used another company because they offered a discounted price. The old saying, you get what you pay for. Before that happened, and after, I don't use anyone else than Martin and Sons!

No one else in the mid cities area had a certain type of key blank, so I was recommended to come here and I'm really glad I did. Service was very professional and they have everything that you could need to get keys replaced. I was even able to find out that I can get a replacement key for my Jaguar at more than half the price I would have paid at the dealerships. If you're needing new locks, automobile keys or any type of key or locksmith service I would highly recommend this location.

They charge you money even if their program fob key machine does not work or program your car. That is a rip-off. It takes them 5 minutes to check but they'll charge you $60 or more for nothing. I can't be throwing away money for a job NOT done. Also, one guy had a bad attitude when entering the biz & proceeded to still be rude & unprofessional. This place acts like they don't care if they have your biz or not. Bad biz practices for sure. Need to change their practices! I left feeling upset, anxious & unappreciated!

I went to Martin Locksmith after I ordered online 2 chipped keys and within 15 minutes they cut both keys and told me that the price included cutting and programming both keys for the surprising price of $4 to cut each key and $50 to program both keys for a total of $58. I still had one original key left and I drove and parked right in front of their building, so i'm sure that helped to keep the price down but I had checked around and the average price was around $150 to $200. By the way the key blanks I got online were from IKEYKESS and were $14 each , chipped. Martin took care of me in less than 15 minutes. I would for sure go their for all my key and lock issues.

Brought in a new commercial lever to rekey. It was a tough rekey mainly because I didn't bring the original key that came in the box and the lever was super secure. But, I went back and brought the original key. It still took a little while to get it rekeyed. However, the guys there are really nice and make conversation easy, so it didn't feel like a long wait. Despite the wait, it was a professional job done well. This is more of a 4.5 star review, but I trust their work and will return for future needs.

Wife broke her key. We went there and wanted $70 for a new shell. Also wanted $170 for a new key and their machine was broke anyway. So I went down the street to Ace Hardware got a new shell for $24. I also have a blank key I bought online on Amazon for $11. Ace could not cut or program this key since it wasn't there key and it was against policy to cut Keys bought somewhere else but they were very nice I would go there anytime. He recommended to go to Batteries Plus and I called them and they will program that key for 39.99.. save some money and go somewhere else.

Called with brand new locks that I wanted installed on my commercial doors. Asked for a quote on commercial lock replacements, and the lady kept rudely cutting me off informing me over and over to get a rekey. I didn't loose my key, so I definitely don't need a rekey. I simply want new locks with enhanced security. Everytime I tried to communicate that she cut me off telling me once again to get a rekey. Bad Customer Service, with no listening skills. I will not hire them, because of this.

These folks are REAL LOCAL locksmiths with a real shop, not just a van. Their prices are very fair and they're honest. They do have mobile service vans and perform lockout, rekeying and other services. Can't ask for much more than that!

Been here a handful of times now, and they're always able to cut the odd key that nobody else seems to be able to find. They take their time and check their stock for something that will work if there isn't a direct match. Great selection of safes, too. I'll be back in a while for an upgrade, myself. My front door is custom-made by Glasscraft in Houston. The installer told me the latch had a defect. To open the door you have to wiggle the handle. Jerking the handle succeeded for years. Until one day, it stopped. Time to fix it. At first, I chose a five-star handyman from ThumbTack. He tried to fix it. This lasted for two weeks. He came back and suggested replacing the entire multi-point lock. Rockwell Security sent a replacement via FedEx for free. Excellent customer service! Watching the handyman toil did not inspire confidence. I decided to hire a specialist locksmith. My wife found a local locksmith with more than four stars: Martin Locksmith. They are family- owned and have 30 years experience. They responded within an hour with a clear cost estimate. Unlike a general handyman, Anthony arrived with a van full of tools. He told me he had to fix many cases like mine. He prefers the simpler deadbolt locks. You can tell Anthony is an experienced locksmith. His motions were smooth and systematic. Contrast this with my handyman who labored by trial-and-error. Anthony noted some parts needed minor adjustments. This is where his extensive tools help. He made sure everything is straight and secure. I had fun chatting about Anthony’s hobby. One hobby which requires even more tools and precision. Fixing a door lock seems simple in comparison. No wonder Martin Locksmith has a high rating. I recommend them for complex door problems.

I was locked out of my apartment all night after a gunman shot someone in the street out front. I could not find an all night locksmith and drove around all night before finally checking into a hotel at 4AM and checked the internet and found that Martin & Sons were scheduled to be open at 8:00 am - a half hour earlier than any other locksmith in the area. I set the alarm and called them at 8:02 and the owner answered and I told him of my plight and he told me he was sorry, but his crew was already scheduled for the day. My heart dropped! He told me he wouldn't be able to get a van back in the area until the afternoon. I begged him and told him I was in the same clothes I was wearing all day yesterday and didn't have my phone and had been driving around all night and was only 2 miles from his shop... He told me he would see if he could reschedule one of his teams and would call me back. He called me back and told me he could send a truck out right then before they went out to the first job on their docket.. The nicest guy showed up at my place in 5 minutes and got me in the door in about 10 minutes. So, BIG PROPS to Martin and Sons Locksmiths in Arlington, TX!!!!

If your car keys aren't working, this should be your default. I didn't know these guys would work on a car key switch until I spent most of my day driving from mechanic to mechanic and one of them recommended Martin Locksmith. They were the only people who could fix my car by the next morning, and I needed it that fast. They were fast, caring, professional, and friendly, all during the height of the pandemic. Incredibly thankful to these guys!

If a fellow locksmith can't help another why not have it posted. It's about helping one another no matter what the job occupation. What has the world come too? Honestly competition.

I've used this place twice to cut and program keys for my Hondas. The first time they did a good job. The second time, I needed two keys cut and programmed for a 2011 Accord. They cut the keys well but did not program them to lock or unlock the car. They charged $50 to program the keys. They told my wife that the keys didn't work because our car had a bad fuse. I started to check the fuses but that did not make any sense to me since the key we lost had worked fine which later proved correct. BTW...she told them that when she was there. The funny thing is I was able to program these same keys in about 2 minutes myself very easily by watching a YouTube video. I wish we hadn't wasted $50 and two trips to Martin's to do it.

Went to a locksmith because I knew it would be difficult to make copies of my worn car key. The first attempt was made by a young apprentice that had no service skills. A locksmith tried to make the keys work with some file work, but the keys only worked on the doors. I was refunded the money and given the keys.

I've used these guys for almost 40 years and have always received quality service at reasonable prices. They turned around my job for resetting a bunch of deadbolts to all the same key quickly. I came into the shop on a Saturday morning and waited for the work to be done in-house. No hassle, no problems, they just did it quickly and for a great price. After recently having a less-than-favorable experience with a locksmith in Mansfield, it really made me appreciate Martin locksmith. Thanks guys, for being there when I needed you.

****Do not use......or get quote in writing before using Martin’s Locksmith***** My son lost his car keys on 12/22/15. I contacted Aaron’s Locksmith and he quoted me $185.00 for the high security Honda key with the service call, but said that he would not be to make it until the next day. I then contacted Martin Locksmith and spoke with Steve. He said that he would match Aaron’s price and be able to come out that night. Steve said that he did not have the high security key in stock but had the regular key. He said that he would do the high security key and regular key for a total of $285.00 and that he would order the high security key and that once he received it that he would have someone come back out to cut it. He sent a contracted locksmith, Calvin. Calvin stayed for about 15 minutes and then said that he had another call, but return the next day. On 12/23/2015, Calvin called me and advised me that the job was complete and to contact Steve to make the $285.00 payment. I contacted Steve, who then told me to call Tia at the office. I called Tia and she processed the payment for $285.00. I did not hear from Martin Locksmith in reference to the high security key that Steve was supposed to order, therefore, I contacted their offices. I was then told that the $285.00 was for the plain key. I advised Martin about our phone conversation. He said that he didn’t remember our conversation. He said that he would have Calvin, the contracted locksmith, contact me. Calvin called me and said that he had to repair the ignition clip, and the charge was $185.00. I advised him that I spoke with Steve initially and was quoted $285.00 for both keys. I was never advised that the ignition needed a clip to be repaired nor did I authorize my credit card to be charged for it. He then said that Steve never mentioned an additional key. I then spoke with Tia the office manager. She said that she was confused and really didn’t know what was going on. I explained everything. She then called me back and said that I could purchase the high security key for $100.00. I advised her that I would not pay an additional $100. I simply wanted what I paid for, and she declined. I am disputing $185.00 of the charge with my credit card company.

I would absolutely NOT REFER ANYONE that I care about to this company. All I did was make a phone call to inquire about services in cutting an emergency key for my 2014 Toyota Camry and I am not sure the reason so I will not share my speculation/opinion as that is not fair, all I will say is that I was asked a question and in my response him cutting me off just to be told I was wrong. I can assure you that I don't care male or female who is on the other end, you never assume you know more because it is your professional practice. You treat everyone with respect and with being a locksmith certainly listen to the potential customers issue at hand because no where in my statement did I have any words nor tone that would suggest any doubt in what I were speaking on. All of that being said I feel very disrespected and appalled at the behavior of the man that answered my call, he should be ashamed. I pray this man works out for those of you choosing this route and have a blessed day!

Worst customer experience ever. I stopped by an asked if it were possible to make a key for a used metal storage cabinet that was in my truck. The lock had no code on the front or back. I was told it would cost me more to walk outside and look at it. REALLY!!! This person obviously didn't want my business. If I could give negative stars, I would. If you have automobile ignition switch problems, these are your guys. Can't tell you how many locksmiths I've called in the DFW area who have NO CLUE and want to direct you to the dealer (who will charge you 5 times as much). So relieved to have finally found them.

I recently purchased a Dodge pickup truck with a solit tonneau cover that was locked and key was lost. Called and spoke with a very helpful young lady who suggested I bring it by the following morning when they opened and they would get right on it. So I show up at 8:30 a.m. and several of the locksmiths got together, got the cover unlocked. They looked the company up on internet and said I could order directly from the company as they didnt have a key to fit this cam lock. Then they advised it was no charge! Outstanding! So for $9 on Amazon my problem is solved!

I needed the ignition in my car fixed and the mechanic we went to was charging us $400+ to fix it. I called tons of locksmiths around Arlington and most of them told me it would be a gamble to fix it (they'd come out and TRY to fix it, but weren't sure if it would work). So I called Martin's locksmith and they guaranteed they would fix it and they did! Within an hour, my car's ignition was working and they only charged me $70 (cheaper than anywhere else I called). I highly recommend these guys. They know what they're doing, they do the job right, and they are priced fair!

A friend came and got me (as I had lost my key to the ignition); I thought I had a spare at home (which I didn't); I called again and within 10 minutes after I called they was on the scene again.
