New home, called J&L to re -key doors. Mike showed up within the hour. He even offered to swap out my front door knob (sun damaged) with the more attractive one from the garage. Good thinking, I didn't even notice. Mike was professional and courteous, and during this period of "social distancing" he respected my boundaries and sanitization requests. I would recommend calling Mike out to your home or car or business without hesitation.

Quickly after my initial review, I received a call from Joe and he reviewed my charges and deemed that there was an error. I was charged for re-keying a more expensive lock. A refund is being issued and I will be paying what I now believe is a reasonable charge for the re-key. the Tech and work performed was never an issue, thanks Joe! Unfortunately my old locksmith sold his business and I had to call a new one. After years of paying about $100 to re-key my office or different rental properties, I was not expecting $300 to do the exact same work that I used to pay $100 for.

Locked the keys in my truck and was only 1 mile away from the business, gentleman showed up and unlocked the door in about 30 seconds. No big equipment, just a pump pad and a wire, all in all it probably took him 6-7 mins Including his drive to me, and I was charged $89. I’m sorry but that is completely ridiculous. To charge someone that high a price for such a fast and easy job is highway robbery. The guy was very kind and did a good job so no issue with the services but the price absolutely needs to be changed. Pretty ridiculous guys.

I locked myself out of my car (there's a first for everything) during a snowy day in January, 2020, and I called several lock services to assist. This company was the first to arrive although they underestimated the wait time, something that wouldn't have been a huge deal if I could have been warm inside of my house while I waited. Thankfully, a neighbor was home so after the allotted wait-time had passed, I sought shelter there. I had already called my insurance company prior to calling this business as the unlock service is included in my policy. So when the technician asked for payment, I explained that they just needed to bill my insurance. He didn't know how to do this so I again called my insurance company who said to pay the service provider and submit my bill to them for reimbursement. It took 8 contacts via email and phone to get the proper invoice created in order to submit my receipt to my insurance for reimbursement, constantly getting the run around that the "system is down", "I'll have to send you to the supervisor," "I'll have it to you by the end of the day." I can't imagine how many additional attempts it would have taken had my insurance agent not stepped in and contacted them directly. The lack of customer service and professionalism with this company was extremely disappointing, it felt like they didn't care to assist me further now that they had the payment.

I talked to them four times and each time the amount was changed. After getting a quote from the office about how much it would cost to just get them out to my specific location, the service guy called to tell me he was just leaving. When I asked him about the price, he said that “Oh no, it would cost more than that to come to your place.” When I talked to the office again, they gave me a different price. When I asked why the difference in price, he couldn’t tell me, nor would he respond to the variation of the quote when I first ordered the service, ten minutes prior and now a totally different price from the original quote. I called another company, and they referred to the company as scammers. I called and cancelled the service and then got a run around by a fourth person. She didn’t want me to cancel and came up with all sorts of reasons why. None of them had to do with the price or that I was cancelling. Definitely felt scammed. I can not recommend this company.

So instead of going with the company I was going to go with, I chose you guys because that seemed very reasonable. So the technician shows up, his girlfriend is in his car waiting for him. He opened the door very fast which was nice but then he charged us $89 ???? that was not even close to what I was told on the phone. The technician told me he worked for two different companies so he was going to give us the JandL rate of $89. So I was deceived with the price and now I had to pay him. I wanted to talk to him more but he kept saying that he had to get his girlfriend to work. So he was there literally under five minutes and would not talk to me because his girlfriend would be late ???? So that was very UNPROFESSIONAL and I was very unhappy. I called to talk to the manager but we keep playing phone tag. Very bad experience.

Then guy gets here and doesn’t have the equipment needed. Complained boss took it out for whatever reason. Says he will return in about 30 minutes, he lives down the road. I waited an 1 hour and 15 minutes before deciding to leave because I still had things to do for my new house before it got too dark and late. They called me as I got to the store and I told them we will have to reschedule the next day at noon. It is now over an hour past the time they were suppose to call me and 40 minutes past appt time. And apparently they are closed. Going somewhere else.

I just bought a new home and the second day in the house I accidentally locked one of the bedroom doors. This door had an actual key lock (like what you would use on the exterior door of your home) and the first locksmith I called was unable to pick the lock. This place is the bomb I was at the chase close by and saw there van pull into the parking lot when I was across the street. I thought to myself I never seen a locksmith company over there. My daughter's Volkswagen Beetle only had one key and it broke in half. The Dealership said it's be 7 - 10 days before they could get a new one and we'd have to tow the bug over to them. I was having a really rough day today, and I was taking my trash out and also about to leave to go see my husband at work when I realized I didn't have my car keys or house key. Great... My landlord wanted me to wait an hour and a half (I'm 7 and half months pregnant and it's getting chilly out) until he got off work, or charge me a crazy amount to just have maintenance come use their key. So I called J&L, Tom was the technichian who serviced me. He was here in less than 10 minutes, and he was extremely understanding of my situation (being pregnant and hormonal, I was crying quite a bit). Tom had my door unlocked literally in less than a minute. Instead of waiting for another hour for my landlord to even be able to head my direction, I am inside my apartment, warm and baby is warm again as well! Thanks so much Tom!! I would have been even more of an emotional roller coaster had they not saved the day, 5 stars ALL THE WAY.

I go to J&L for all things locksmith! I needed a new lock installed on my door and they sent over a tech and he was there within minutes installed my pin code lock very quickly showed me exactly how to use the new lock. Had a lockout with my car and Joey was at my car within 5 minutes and unlocked my car in less then 5! He had also made me a spare key for my car after because I needed one and they were very quick about it! They are all very proficient and quick! They explain what they are doing and they are all very polite, they make sure you’re taken care of and happy with their service! You guys are bosses! Thank you!

Went here to get a key fob. After waiting over an hour the service guy told me he could not program it and I had to take it to a dealship to get it fixed..then made me pay for an expensive key that wouldn't even start the vehicle, because, he said he already cut it. I normally do not give reviews but this is ridiculous. They were quick to do the work, but were deceptive regarding the price, and then HARRASSED us AND our neighbor for payment by calling several times per day from different phone numbers and coming to our house on a Sunday evening! All within 1 week. We were out of town and needed our lock on one door unlocked. They were quick to respond and communicated well, however payment was another issue. We were told that the cost would be $85 plus the price of the new deadbolt lock. We were expecting a total cost of roughly $110 - $130. The total bill ended up being over $200!! On top of that, we needed to fill out a pdf form and sign it for payment. Again, we were out of town and could not access a printer. They said that was fine and to take care of it once we got the opportunity. They proceeded to call us from MANY different phone numbers MULTIPLE times per day for payment. They even started calling my NEIGHBOR asking for payment. We just flew back into town today and have been home (again with no access to a printer) and they actually came to our HOUSE on a Sunday evening asking for payment. THIS WAS ALL WITHIN ONE WEEK during Labor Day weekend for crying out cloud!!! This was completely overboard and unprofessional for a business to call 5 times per day every day and then come to your HOUSE on a Sunday to demand payment within 1 week of service! They started out great and quickly made this an awful experience!
