I needed to have keyfobs with the key built in programmed and cut, they had advised they would charge even if they couldn't get them programmed. They cut the keys and the woman tried programming them to the vehicle but they would not fully program. She then proceeded to charge me the full amount. I had told her we were short on money and she said she would see what she could do. $45 to cut 2 keys and the failing to program is robbery, I would have understood paying for the cost of cutting them but to pay full for cutting and programming after she couldn't get them to work is just shoddy service. I wound up having to go to the Ford dealer to have the IC module flashed which she could have done. I will stick with AAA-1 Lock and Key in Nampa for my needs. Definitely would avoid these people.

I went in to get a new key/fob for my Subaru. She immediately told me that she couldn't reset a Subaru that I had to go to the dealer. I guess that's somewhere in Boise. BUT she took my fob and checked that it actually was sending a signal that the problem is on the car's side. She said she'd heard it might sometimes be caused by a fuze. That a lot of free help and it was GREATLY appreciated! That's a locksmith that takes their work seriously and really just wants to help even though she knew I wasn't buying a service or part. Which is smart because now I will ALWAYS come here first and I have told everyone how wonderfully I was treated. There may not be much in our little town, but we DO have a great locksmith!

When I locked my keys in the van the gentleman who came to my rescue was very kind and quick. I went through my insurance company and I don't know if it was bc of that or not but it did take 45 min for them to arrive.

The lock/handle on my mom's sliding glass door was broken. Dennis came out and took a look. The door is pretty old, but he let me know what kind of mechanism to look for at Home Depot and will come back out to install it as soon as I purchase it. He was friendly and professional. It was so hot, our nerves frayed as the sweat poured, over 2 hours wasted trying to find a way into my folks house. Within 20 minutes of the A-1 van rounding the corner their locksmith had us inside with new hardware and some great advice on how to keep from ever being locked out again. He was just wonderful, I can't recommend them enough, I wish there were more than 5 Stars.
