The price was very affordable compared to competitors. The service was great and instanteous. We got our car key replacement right away. Definitely would recommend to others. Update (Saturday, August 17, 2019): Got an appointment for another car due to a broken key. He fixed it. He was very nice, funny and knowledgeable. It was very affordable compared to other companies that would have charged me far more for a same service. I highly recommend it.

My experience with them was amazing. Right before bringing my dog to get neutered I forgot something and ran inside, then he saw a squirrel and while running up to the front seat stepped on the keys and locked himself in the car. Pop a lock was very quick and got here in 20mins even though it was 7:00am. Tye locksmith worked tirelessly and managed to get my dog out of the car in time for his appointment. I highly recommend them for everyone.

These guys are great. A local Father and Son Duo Teams up to ownership of the Pop-A-Lock locations here in Ottawa. I have to admit they are incredibly friendly and so very informative. As a first time user of this service, I was delighted at the amount of patience these two had for me answering questions over the phone, and in person. They are bonded and insured and guarantee their services. The gentleman who came to our door, was well represented by a marked vehicle with the Pop-A-Lock Logo, and Jacket and he immediately showed me his credentials when I opened the door. I really appreciated that because I'm a disabled female, and sometimes have anxiety about opening the front door to strangers. Immediately, the warm smile and laid back demeanor of his personality, put me at ease. These guys went above and beyond to help us out. They even were able to book an appointment in less than 24 hours for lock service to change the pins and provide keys. They even noted that(since this is a new house) the corporation had not removed the master key pins, and had them removed just in case someone made a copy of the master key. He explained to me also, that happens often in New houses. Scary thought... I will be using Pop-A-Lock Service again in the future. The service was exceptional and left me with a feeling of great security. THANK YOU POP-A-LOCK! YOU ROCK????????

Honestly, Tim makes you wanna lock your keys in your car over and over again. I locked mine in my car on Innes and Tim showed up within in 40 mins, exactly what he said. He has a very calm and cool demeanor and is probably the nicest guy you've ever met, so really, I suggest you lock your keys in your car just to meet him. I thought I recognized him. And as I was explaining to him how amazing the service I received last time was (locked keys in car in -35 degree + windchill weather in a huge school parking), he was like, "Oh yeah, I remember that." So Tim did both my lock jobs! Anyways, these guys are great and $60 is a pretty good price to me. POP-A-LOCK... could be slang for anything...

Awesome service. Called them the night of the tornadoes. They answered the call, provided an estimate and told us he was on his way. He did warn me that because a lot of traffic lights were out it might take a little longer. He showed up very close to his estimate and got my neighbors in they're house. We had another neighbor also locked out and instead of charging the full rate for the second call he provided a reduced rate which the split. Our kids, 2 years and 3 months, were accidentally locked inside our SUV while my wife was loading the stroller after an outing. The keys were inside on the driver's seat. It was cool and there was no real danger but it was a very stressful experience for everyone. Shawn arrived in less than 15 minutes and opened the car in about 60 seconds. Tim was great. He fixed a very old single cylinder deadbolt lock, which I had fixed a couple of times over the years but today I just wasn't able to get it right. Called "Pop-A-Lock". Lost my only key for my car yesterday. Called a few places left messages, and none returned my call. This morning I tried one company and the guy was pretty rude and quoted an exorbitant price for a new key fob and one spare key. Called Tim and he quoted a better price for 2 fobs and a spare. Sean came on time and got at it right away. He was very knowledgeable, he didn't damage my car whatsoever, he was very courteous and friendly, and explained every step clearly as he worked. One of the fobs wasn't closing properly so he even arranged to come replace the case for free by making a claim with the manufacturer. 5 stars from me and I will definitely recommend these guys! Keep up the great work.

I have to change my review based on the mistake they made. They fixed the keys properly but by mistake plugged out the horn connector. I called them few days after to notify them that my horn is not working since they fixed the keys and opened the panel. No one touched the car since than and they worked with the wires as the person fixing the keys told me that my alarm might not work but even after hearing this they said that they don't touch that portion but if the mechanic finds that that it is there fault (which was the case) they will reimburse me. I took car to the mechanic and spent over $100 so that the mechanic can check what the problem is by looking at fuses and the horn (which was all good). As soon as I told him about the key fixing issue he opened the panel underneath the key/steering and found that the connector wasn't plugged back in. I called the business to remind them that they said that they will reimburse if that was their mistake (which was the case here) they bluntly refused and said that they are not at fault which I found not correct at all. Wasted so much of my time and money because of there mistake which they don't even acknowledge. Was highly disappointed. Also lock started to give problem again within a year

I had one of my worst fears happen this morning. I threw my phone and keys into the front seat, put my daughter into her car seat, left my door open a bit but didnt roll the window down like I normally do (since I'm usually super paranoid about this). I loaded the stroller into the trunk closed the door and then heard the doors auto lock... I went to my door that I left open and it had closed just enough that the locking mechanism wouldnt open it. I had locked my 3mo baby girl in the car. She already hates the car seat and was bawling. I broke into my house but couldn't find my backup set and then started to lose it. I borrowed a phone and called my husband who called Pop a Lock. A gentleman showed up in 20minutes and was so kind. He didn't look at me once like I was a terrible mother. He said some nice words to calm me down was completely non judgemental and in no time at all I had my baby girl in my arms. He said there was no charge for his type of service. I was in shock still and I dont think I properly thanked the sweet man that helped us. So I hope he is reading this and knows how grateful I am for his service and to pop a lock. Definitley 5 stars.
