I needed a replacement car key and fob, the Ford dealerships around the city were going to charge me $450+, which is insane. This prompted me to look elsewhere in Edmonton. I found Omega Locksmith and the reviews were promising. I called and was quoted $195 all in! No extra charge for parts, labor, programming or key cutting, unlike the dealerships. I got an appointment booked for the following day. The process was quick and painless, the employees were amazing. I will definitely be coming back if there is anything else I need done but I will also recommend friends and family to this business.

I am an AMA member and I unfortunately locked my keys in my running vehicle. I contacted AMA and was quoted a 24 to 35 hour wait. I was thinking that my full tank of gas would be more than gone but out of a desperate feeling of hopelessness I thought I’m gonna try a locksmith directly I looked them up by googling 24 locksmith Edmonton and called them up I nstantly got an answer and it was after 9 in snowy miserable weather and was told a technician would be at my place 15 to 20. And within a half an hour the technician was there and had my vehicle opened. and it wasn’t an an unreasonable price either especially considering the emergent nature of the situation. They charged $160 to open my car when I had accidentally locked my keys in... It took them an hour to drive to my home and then 10 min of actual work put in. Which was wedging the door open and using a more sophisticated "clothes hanger" to push the unlock button. I'd say save your money... Buy the tools from amazon (I found the wedge tool for 20 bucks on Amazon). Or at least just go buy AMA. You get more perks.. the young man who did this for me was at least nice and got the job done. But this seems like a gouge. My advice is shop around. They also couldn't give me a price on the phone. Told me they had to see it before they could give me a price. So I kinda felt blind sided by this cost.. especially with how easy the job was.

I accidently locked my car keys in my vehicle in Edmonton (I am from Red Deer) Told me it was $49 over the phone. I get there and he said $199 plus $49 service fee. Then I told the guy, I cannot pay $250 for this service, and then demanded I pay the $49 service fee. I told him that was what they quoted me in total for the actual service. He said they record all phone calls and to call them back and talk to them. I called them back and she listened to the recording and told me it was a misunderstanding and could charge $130. I was in a total bind because I had a meeting at 330, and it was 3pm. Called them to tell them our experience and the women on the phone was literally yelling over my talking, could not even get a single word in, then she hung up!! Then we called Calgary’s office and asked for the boss, and he did the same thing. yelling and saying I was "mean" to his employee and he yelled so much I could not even understand him, he hung up the phone also. I 100% do not recommend, you can call anyone else in town for half the price. I am so upset that I trusted google and clicked the first option, I was in a panic. Also, if you go on their reviews for auto locksmith, many people have had the exact same thing happen to them. Lesson learned.

Highway robbery at its finest. Called for a quote for the total bill on regards to unlocking my van and was told it will be $49 and the guy will be there in 15 minutes. Ended up taking and hour and a half for a technician to arrive when he tells me that the total bill will be $160. $49 for the technician showing up and $110 to unlock the vehicle. None of this was discussed over the phone. Technician was super nice and was good at his job but the company seemed to really push towards doing a cash or e transfer sale. After asking for a detailed receipt for services provided to submit for reimbursement to my am I was told they can't supply that and was hung up on. Do not recommend using this company for any of your locksmith needs.

I called for a locksmith to open my house after my keys fell off my clip. The receptionist could not answer any of my questions and said a tech would call me. One did and I sent him a picture to get a quote. I called him back to confirm that it was ok to come but he never answered. I called back the company and they had a second guy call me. After waiting 2 hours for someone to come (I was told 30 mins) the tech changed the prices and said that is what he charges. He wanted over $100+ more, saying he had to charge me for two locks but would give me 50% off the second one. My sent picture and quote received was for the two locks. There was no misunderstanding. To take advantage of someone this way, especially since he saw I had my four kids with me, is despicable and very unprofessional. I called a “real”company that should have standards and be uniform across the board when it comes to prices. Money was not the issue here but the dishonesty and corrupt actions. Shady practices like this are deplorable and I will not recommend this company to anyone. I will make sure I keep telling everyone to stay away,

Being a senior citizen, I live on a strict budget. I called around to many different locksmiths since I had no keys to be able to move a truck off of the street. Ford wanted me to tow it to Leduc which is 40 km away. They told me I needed to get two keys cut at $80 each and $250 for programming. Another place I phoned was asking 350 not including keys or programming. Omega locksmith not only did the service far less than anywhere else, but he found out the ignition and door were keyed differently. He was so professional and polite even after he had to spend longer then he should have. I have dealt with many different locksmiths in my life and I have to say that this is one of the best by far. Another point I have to say is that he was very respectful when it came to proper distancing measures and wearing a mask. Thank you Omega for your hard work today!

I accidentally left the car key in my corolla 2011's trunk. So, I called this service for unlocking my car, and the person on the phone told me the price would be depending on the vehicle, starting from $49. He said he was going to send a technician. The technician has arrived 30 minutes after the phone call. After I showed him my vehicle, I asked the price. He said it is $249 + $49 (service call fee). The number seemed too high, so I said to him "just one sec", and made a phone call to my brother-in-law just for 10 seconds and checked if it was the fair price. The tech guy already started putting the balloon thingy into the door. I told him to stop several times and he ignored and kept working on the vehicle's door even though I physically stopped him, and he had the job done in a minute. He insisted on my paying for his work. However, I definitely told him to stop unlocking the car since the price seemed a scam for simple old car unlocking. Well, I ended up paying $210 on the debit, which he didn't want me to pay with a credit card. Just let potential customers know who you are going to deal with.

Went in and got a new key fob for my truck and opened a little safe for me. Price of the truck fob was about half of what a dealership is and although he couldn’t cut me a key for the safe he pointed me to his competitors who got me fixed up. Will definitely be back if I need something

My girlfriend had accidentally locked her key in her car and had no way of getting it out. She called this company stating that their service started at 49$. Her car is a basic car with no power locks, probably the easiest car to get into which should have been close to that 49$. They showed up and had the car open in less than a minute and didn't even give her a chance to ask what the price would be. Even after finishing, they did not provide a price, they just handed her the machine that said 160$. This company is a complete scam and I would not recommend them to anyone. After this, they had the audacity to ask for a Google review so here we are.

I was stuck outside of my house last night, without any warm clothes and it was very cold. I called Omega locksmith and they told my the technician will call me right away for the ETA. When the technician called me he verified my address and asked what happened so I explained him that I went outside of the house to smoke and got stuck without any warm clothes , he arrived in less then 20 minutes!! I have never seen in my life such a fast and thoughtful service!! The technician bought me a coffee and offered me to go and warm up in his car until he will open the door. However the price was great and not expensive compared to the hour that I called. You definitely deserve 5 stars!! Thank soo much.

Whack place, waited over an hour and paid $250 to have some 19 year old kid to open my car door in less than 60 seconds.. the attendant at the gas station called this company as my phone and keys were locked in my car or I would of told him to kick rocks.
