I brought in an old safe, bought at Staples years ago. The digital keypad no longer worked, and I had lost the backup key. The technician spent over 15 min of his time breaking the lock. In the end, it was free of charge! Perhaps it was just good lock-picking practice. But this was true professionalism, and represents the heart of Edmonton.

I have to do a shout-out here to another locally owned and operated business, Edmonton Lock & Safe Inc. I was in the market for a new safe as my jammed up. I goggled and called. Brought my safe down to their shop. Not only did they haul it around for me and was able to get into the safe so I could get my items out they gave me an amazing deal on a new one... not just a new one, one I actually needed (under my budget). The only problem is I was not sure how I was going to get it back to my shop. Kenny, a technician asked the owner if he could drive it out and haul it in for me!! Which he did! Now do not get me wrong, I was not bank rolling... I only spent $350 total. So all that extra work was out of the goodness of their heart for this pregnant woman! So if you need a locksmith, in the market for safe of just need keys cut, check this family owned and operated business!

I had a problem with my Sentry safe where it required both a key and a combination. We lost the key. It was urgent for s to get into the safe. I have had really bad experiences with locksmiths. Edmonton Lock and Safe were excellent to deal with. They solved our problem right away - at a really reasonable price - and they were pleasant and professional to deal with. They come with my highest recommendation. I would not hesitate to refer them.

You want to be careful when looking for a locksmith. There can be some sketchy business in the locksmith industry. After looking at a number of businesses on Google, I decided to go with Edmonton Lock and Safe because I could see their store front picture on Streetview, they had good reviews, and their website seemed trustworthy (they've been in business for 43 years). I'm glad I chose them. They were able to come out to fix our door set same day, and Ryan, our service tech was extremely professional, kind, and trustworthy. He had everything fixed up in about 1/2 an hour and even rekeyed our new lock set so we didn't have to change out our keys. The price was very reasonable as well. Super happy with the service, and even happier that I have found a quality, trustworthy, locksmith company that I can feel good about using again for any future locksmith services.

Lower cost to copy keys than Home Depot and they copy them on the old-style machines instead of the new automated machines. I’d much rather have someone who knows what they’re doing make me a copy by hand with the old style machines. They’ll stamp lettering on the keys as well. A great place that I wish I knew of years ago.

Edmonton Lock and Safe provided a prompt and clear response to my email inquiry for an estimate. I was able to get an appointment easily on my preferred date. The technician was professional and personable. He worked quickly and competently, explaining what he was doing clearly. I had a new locking doorknob I'd bought installed and two other doors rekeyed to match in 30 minutes or less, at a highly competitive price. Edmonton Lock and Safe had substantially better prices than the numerous other locksmiths I inquired with. Their charge for keys is also significantly less than other businesses. I would not hesitate to use Edmonton Lock and Safe again and recommend them without reservation.

This is the ONLY place I call when I need my locks fixed/changed. They have great service and I can't say enough good things about them, including how they treated me over the phone and how fast they were able to do the work. No issues whatsoever. As well, Ryan is awesome, he is super nice, did the job we needed done and we have had no problems with our locks. If you need anything done lock related, this is the company you need to call. I would give them 10 stars if that was possible!!

These guys are great! I went to 3 other big well known locksmiths to get a key cut. They didn't have the key blank but didn't offer to order 1 in. One even tried to tell me mine was a chipped key which was not the case. I went to ELS and they ordered the key blank for me right away. It arrived the next day and it was cut perfectly. Although my purchase was a very small one ($6). They made me feel that my business mattered! THIS, is how a nice business treat customers! A big shoutout to Danielle and the gentleman who cut my key!

The person who came was experienced and very quickly identified that the lock just needed some lubrication. The lock was fixed and he very kindly refused to take any money even though he has made a trip out and I was just offering some money for coffee. I will go back to this company anytime.
