Terrible terrible service. They dont tell you when they can arrive so you dont call another locksmith who can actual arrive on time. The guy on the phone was no help and we waited 5 hours for a locksmith. Could have learned the art of lock picking myself. Wont be using this company ever again. Guess we should have gave them 6 weeks notice to arrive on time.

They'll rekey your building and refuse to release key codes as they think you're then stuck using them. We're rekeying our building just to get away from them and they won't see another dime out of us! Good riddance!

These people are incompetent and argue with their customers. I tried to get a key cut for my car. The first key was cut properly, but not programmed properly for my ignition. When I returned to get it fixed, they insisted on re-cutting the key rather than just reprogramming it. They screwed the second cutting up. There was a VISIBLE difference between the original and the second copy, but they tried to tell me that there was a problem with my ignition which is why the second copy didn't turn in the ignition (despite the fact that the first copy did). I repeatedly tried to explain the problem to two members of staff, but both insisted that my ignition needed repair and they couldn't help me. They refunded my money, but it was a big waste of my time. I took the key to another locksmith to have it copied, and they got everything right the first time. Do yourself a favor and find another store.

No line, quick service, satisfied with product. No idle chitchat, was informative and answered my questions sufficiently, asked me relevant questions I hadn't thought of. Noticed the communication between staff was quick and efficient, they wasted not even a second with all tasks in my presence, and that was answering calls, relaying info, making follow up calls, and immediately directed his attention to the customer entering as I was leaving. Will be my go to.

Not happy with these guys. I booked them to come change locks on a rental suite after evicting a tenant who caused significant damage. Dial never showed up, didn’t call me to give me an updated timeline, I had to call them the next day to find out what was up, and now my evicted tenant is back in the suite and won’t leave. Very unhappy with Dial and will never use them for anything again.

Talk about saving the day. On a Saturday morning I locked the store keys in the store! Absolutely mortified I called Dial Locksmith and I have to say I was very impressed. Jim arrived promptly and was quickly able to provided access to the store. Jim was very polite and very professional. He was able to also provide recommendations to better secure our location and he even cut us keys on the spot to avoid such things from happening again. I have worked with many locksmiths as a property manager and this was hands down the best experience yet.

Had a safe that won't open, there was a keyhole an it had a "key code" number on it, using that they cut a key an their "best guess" was accurate. Sadly the safe won't open, I think that key just "disables" the dial lock. So have to get a locksmith to check it out, maybe a broken dial or I'm just spinning it wrong.

Was locked out of my garage (broken lock knob). They drilled out the lock, replaced the knob within 1 hr. Even had a quick look at my garage door opener. Reasons for 5/5: 1) Cheapest quote for dispatch (of the 4 locksmiths I called) 2) Same day service (within 1 hr from calling) 3) Dispatch fee included 1 hr of labor (most charged extra per 15min) 4) No 'hidden fees (no charge to install the new knob)

Contrary to what others have said, for the price of an actual locksmith to cut a key Dial Locksmith / Safe World is one of the cheaper in Edmonton: not compared to Home Depot or Lowes of course. However, their expertise and proper equipment has always made sure I got the exact lock, exact key or the exact product I needed. When I needed to replace a cheap dollar store lock with a better tubular lock, Dial had the right product at less money than the competition. When I needed the part to a cabinet door lock, Leslie at Dial had the experience to know exactly what I was looking for. You don't get that kind of Journeyman Locksmith experience and knowledge from the clerk at the home store no matter how much the home store employee wants to help you. Thank you Leslie: after trying most of the other locksmiths in town you just got all of my business.

I went to this place to get 9 keys cut. Some were specialty keys, I was happy to here they had the blanks to be able to cut the keys. They informed me that they were busy that they wouldn't be able to be done right away but that they would be done later that day. When I asked roughly when they would be done , the tall guy with the shaved head seemed to be annoyed and said we're busy "gimme your phone number. "Despite his unfriendly demeanour I asked his advice on the best way to stamp my information on my keys in case they get lost again. He abruptly said "whatever". So I went 3 hours later to pick them up and nothing had been done. The girl at the front counter that helped me was very nice and pleasant and apologized for not having time to cut the keys. The tall guy really should just stay in his office because he is costing you guys business as I ended up going to lock surgeon and they were happy to help me and cut my specialty key as well as friendly advice on stamping the brass plate . Dial locksmith lost $150 and any future business from me.

I bought two Honda transponder keys off eBay hoping to find a locksmith in Edmonton that would be able to cut a program them. After calling around, Dial quoted me $20 for cut and program for each key. Both keys worked flawlessly and the service was helpful and friendly. Would definitely recommend this locksmith. I paid $26.50 per key for cost of key, cut and programming after all was said and done. Considering Honda wants $50 just for the key, save yourself some money and buy off eBay and take to these guys. Will definitely be going to them in the future for my locksmith needs!
