Been getting locks and re-keying for our apartments done here, even got new electronic strikes. The product quality and service has always been great. Even one-time when I couldn't remember the style handle I got before he didn't mind running back and fourth with different assemblies. They usually get the job done on the spot (unless I'm in a panic rush and just leave) which is more than I could ask for. Looking forward to continuing to work with them.

Absolutely inconsiderate and terrible customer service. Made an appointment with them 4 days in advance, and made personal arrangements (including taking time off work) to meet with them for the service call - only for them to cancel. Would not recommend to anyone who values their own time.

Some spare part of old style door lock you never could get anywhere but available in this shop. Like most honest handyman, the staff could directly give you what you needed. That solved the problem seems impossible to handle????????????

I went in to cut more copies of my high security lock keys. I brought my city of Edmonton property tax assessment which has my name and legal description of my property. They insisted on a copy of land titles. I called the land titles office and they sad that my property assessment has the legal description and that was legal proof of title. Not only did the person who served me lacking common sense, but he had a unprofessional coworker criticizing me as he walked by me. Some people in this world have no common sense, this place apparently hires such individuals. What is even more disappointing was the fact that I bought key blanks from them from 2005-2012 for my pharmacy and they had my home address on file, very disappointed in the attitude and lack of sense. The counter person was not listening or intelligent, I had all the copies of the keys in my possession and he used an example of an apartment building? First of all, I had every copy of the key and secondly I had property tax assessment with legal lot description on the city of Edmonton property tax assessment. I guess that the city must be negligent sending an assessment to the wrong person lol???

I went to this shop 2 times, the second one i have problem with the ignition lock cylinder, they did it , i got a little bit surprised and charge only $79 for repair it instead $486 brand new from NAPA.. i save money for $400.. thanks for action security locksmith..????????????

No idea about their actual work, but their customer service is severely lacking. Action told me they were unable to assist me with my issue, but instead suggested the name of another company, Fineline Locksmithing who provided abysmal service. When I called back to advise them of my poor experience with their referral, I was simply given the name of someone else to call. Awful experience all around.

When planning to replace my exterior doors I wanted to have several door locks replaced on both exterior and interior doors. Nathan at Action Security Locksmiths provided an estimate and discussed options regarding master key systems. When the work to replace the doors was completed, Nathan quickly and efficiently replaced the locks. Now I have a working Abloy Protec2 master key system. Very pleased with the professional, superior work.

Brought in an antique lock cylinder off a Buick Car Steamer Trunk to get re-keyed. Murray looked at it, but couldn't guarantee they could fix it, as it was a very old lock. I left it with him and he ended up opening up the lock and discovering it was more broken than originally anticipated. He said if I'm not in a rush to leave it with him and he would see what he could do. I came back a few months later and Murray and his coworker's were able to get the hard parts done. They re-keyed the lock and got the majority of the lock back together, while keeping it as original as possible. I had to do a little extra machining and adjustments at home and the lock works perfectly! Thank Murray & team at Action Security & Locksmiths for fixing my lock at an EXTREMELY reasonable price :)

I went to this locksmith after a very disappointing experience at a different Edmonton locksmith (see my other reviews). I came in looking for a simple RV compartment key, cut from a code widely available online. I can't express enthusiastically enough how professional my experience was here. The technician I dealt with evaluated my problem, looked at my lock, and cut me a key, which worked flawlessly. The whole process took about 10 minutes; most of that time involved the technician patiently lubricating and working on the sample RV lock I'd brought with me. My total bill, including tax, was $11.53, for a service that I'd just been quoted "over $150" at a competitor a couple of miles away. Action Locksmith has my business from here on. Great folks to deal with, Thank you!

first time customer. i needed a spare set of 2 travel trailer keys cut and an apartment mailbox key. they ended up cutting me an extra mailbox key of a different style just in case as the "original" i gave them was a poor fit to begin with (how did they know that???). they only charged me for 3 keys instead of for 4, total price $13. i had just come from Lock Surgeon who wanted $58 for those same 3 keys. i went home and the Action security keys fit perfectly. incredible how unscrupulous some people are (lock surgeon rated 2.1 on google--now i know why. THANK YOU ActionSecurity
