I can be a very demanding customer, and have bought more vehicles in my lifetime than I could count at this point. So having made an initial decision to trade our Mazda for a Lincoln, I was surprised to learn that this dealer absolutely would not dicker, either on price or the somewhat excessive doc fee. After careful research, however, I realized that they were allowing almost top dollar for the trade, and the car sale price was somewhat lower than retail. So we went ahead. After picking up the car, which had a fresh oil change and MVI, we were pleasantly surprised to see new tires on the car! Thank you Auction Direct! I would have left a five star review, except for the unclear conveyance of the dealer policy regarding no dickering at the outset. Otherwise very pleased with overall transaction.

It's been 2 years since i purchased my Nissan Altima 2013 from this place. To begin with i went in to buy a Kia Optima Hybrid which they said i couldn't be approved for because i was a first time car buyer. The Nissan was the second option. Within a month of owning the vehicle the check engine light came on and i went back to the dealership. They said it was nothing to worry and it was because of the cold weather. They advised i should just clear the code whenever it came back on. Now two years later after having my engine replaced for $3500 out of my pocket i understand that there was a problem since the time i bought this vehicle. Secondly i am looking at the refinancing the vehicle to get a better interest rate. I was just going through my paperwork from the dealership. They had said i would not be taxed on my trade which was worth $3000. The Nissan was advertised at $13500. I am shocked to see that they charged $14,100 + $699 in fees. I signed for it without checking, that's my mistake but i am more aware now then i was before The point i am trying to make here please read through each and every document they make you sign and concentrate on the COST OF THE VEHICLE AND NOT THE MONTHLY PAYMENTS. Please be aware coz these dearlships are just out there to scam you in every possible way.

VERY disappointed !! I would give a zero, if possible. I contacted auction direct after having a vehicle sold from underneath me at another dealership. So they tell me to pick a vehicle I was interested in and then I could put a deposit down on it and that would "hold" the vehicle, it wouldn't be able to be sold. We find the perfect vehicle and are getting financing done so I told them I wanted to put a deposit on it so I wouldn't lose this one too. I gave them my credit card number and felt relieved that I didn't have to worry about the vehicle being sold. The day we are to go pick the vehicle up comes and we are made aware the vehicle "just sold" that morning !! Someone came in and bought it with cash. The guy didn't put my deposit through and another person sold it. It was also very annoying that we would be told that we would get a call back, only to have to call back the next day because "they were busy" the day before. What should have took a couple days ended up stretched over 2 weeks because of communication. I am a 3 hour drive away and would have been quite mad had I arrived only to find out the vehicle had been sold out from underneath me !! I highly recommend doing business elsewhere !!! Very unprofessional

Didn’t ask me a single question about deposits, references…. Nothing. Shouldn’t judge a book by its cover Phil. It was going to be cash. Guess you lost this sale.

My experience with this place was really good and I personally brought my friends over here and helped them out getting two cars over the past two years. But now this place is a mess and had a terrible experience with one of the sale representatives here. I brought my friend over there and Mr. Alan MacDonald was very keen trying to hook my friend up with a beaten up SUV. Apparently this guy sucks big time at the art of selling cars and really good at arguing. He showed us in his iPhone that the beaten up SUV is from a JD Power recommended brand and told my friend that ones he place the SUV keys back in the office you don't have a chance in getting another car. Just Beware of this guy.

What an amazing team! My husband and I had to travel 3 hours one way to shop there, and it was worth every second. After going to every dealer on the Sackville Auto Mile (found nothing but vehicles with hidden issues) we took a chance and went to Halifax Auction Direct. Originally we drove through and thought that because the cars were such good quality we couldn't afford them. Not only were the cars in better shape, but the prices were better than any we had seen in the month we spent looking for a car. Travis and Paul treated us like we were the only customers they had, and I drove away with an amazing used car. I would recommend buying a car here to anyone.

Sales person was nice. He didn't tell us before we drove the car that it had been smoked in and my partner had an asthma attack as we drove. The sales person came with us which meant we couldn't have a candid conversation. He only knew that the previous owner smoked and was a nice guy. Once we confirmed that we wouldn't be able to drive cars without the sales person we said goodbye and then he offered us his card which we declined. I would never recommend going to this lot.

Very bad experience, not recommend at all! My wife and I went in to their showroom and want to drive few cars but they been rushing us and we just test drive one car. We came back other day to make an offer on same car and they said our prices are fair and we do not negotiate unless you find a same deal and we will match it. We left and I spend some time to find exact same used car, but good luck finding exact same car used. I called 2 times and to 2 managers and tried to make a deal and give a LOCAL business in COVID-19 time a business but every time they come out with excuses and say they are not the same cars. We find a exact car in Ottawa with lower KM, same year , same model but they said its another Provence and we just match with NS, what is the difference!! the new cars are same price all over Canada and even operation expanses in other provinces are very higher than NS. As what manager/co-owner suggest we bought the car from MINI OTTAWA, even we paid shipping of $1050. Even with shipping we got the car that is MINI Pre-certified car with 12,000 KM lower mileage, No accident ( Auction Direct ones had $1500 damage to the back) and we still saved $1500. I tried very hard to give them our money! We coma in 2 times, also call 2 times to give them a business and they just been very rude and disrespectful. Good Luck running your business!

my experience sucked.... they told me that i was approved and to pick a car the car i picked wasnt in the budget which was fine then talked me into pick a vw , when i agreed to the vw they told me i was guaranteed that this car would work , that was June 22, the communication between the employees was poor no one knew anything about what the other was doing and made me wait almost a month with false hope . so i went somewhere else in the mean time and was on sat and i was approved that monday . I also worked for the company that fixed their cars . all im going to say is make sure you look over the cars good cause some of the cars were fixed with zip ties, instead of parts replaced if they were broke . i was going to trade in two vehicles and was going to send my daughter there, but not now i wont recommend them to anyone

This dealership left me hanging for days on end with no communication whatsoever about what was going on with my file. All contact after the initial contact I made with them was initiated by me, to which I was told, "So-and-so was currently with a customer and would get back to me when he was finished". This appears to be the "stock" response they give to make up for their lackadaisical behaviour when it comes to returning calls to their customers. I waited and no contact was ever received. This went on for two weeks after which I finally decided enough was enough. I'm not sure what kind of operation they are running and am flabbergasted as to how they even stay in business given their lack of regard for customers. One need only look at the mountain of one-star reviews here for proof of this. THANKFULLY, I came to my senses and took my business to Race Auto Group---of whom I am a multiple repeat (happy) customer. Race Auto Group always goes above and beyond and has a customer service department that is second to none. I happily drove away from Race Auto Group barely a day later in my new 2016 SUV. At this rate, if Halifax Auction Direct continues such careless business practices, they will be OUT OF BUSINESS.

The stuff here is nice and they talk with you really nicely, talk a lot things professional that a new driver don’t understand. I bought this vehicle 1 year before, I know is been really long time, when I bought it I thought and all the information online included the seller told me my vehicle is a 2.0 engine size car, and 2 months ago when I went to fixed my car I find out it’s actually a 1.6 L car. I don’t know is that a mistake or I’ve been cheated, because as what I know there should be big prices differences between this two engine size. I feel really sad and angry, I didn’t realized the wrong engine when I bought the car because I didn’t noticed it and I really trust this dealer. I trust they has the best price in the market! I came back to the store and told them the problem, the seller（same one） told me even you get 1.6 L but you have turbo so you have same horse power as a 2.4 L car? So you still get best deal?( what is the point) And the manager told me there is no prince difference between 1.6 and 2.0 car, so it’s doesn’t matter? And it has been really long time, didn’t check it carefully is my fault, so I can say nothing with they don’t want do anything with my case . But I really want to say buy a second hand car is a big trap, be careful that the seller always be smarter than you! And I feel sad with this bying experience.

I already made a review but I had noticed a few bad comments regarding their car having issues and not getting help. I did recently buy one from them which turned out to have some regular issues that were not noticed during test drives. So I immediately contact them for them to look at it. They apologized and put me right in a dealer car while mine was being looked at. No questions nothing...they ended up fixing the issues at no cost to me and even sent it to the manufacturer for a warranty issue in the powertrain. worst experience i have had at a dealership in my life. I came in for two different test drives after work. Each time i was rushed out of my appointment under 15 minutes and the sales person was just not willing to let me test drive for more than 10 minutes. I get off work a little before their closing time and the salesman i was speaking to kept reinforcing that i cant stay a little late, while when i was speaking to another agent after a couple days he said that they frequently stay late if customers cant come before. In addition to this i was made to give a deposit for the car via an E-transfer, but when the sale did not go through and i wanted an e-transfer back they declined saying they were not legally allowed to do so. this makes me wonder how they were able to get me to e-transfer in the first place?? Extremely sleazy dealership which would do anything to make a fast sale but nothing to ensure their client is satisfied. i brought this issue forward to their sales manager who said the owner of the dealership would not accommodate me in regards to that. I would not recommend this company to any person whatsoever

I bought a 2016 VW Tiguan. Sight unseen - never do this! I had no issues with Natalie the sales person I dealt with - she was great and kept in constant contact with me. I had to pull and beg for information from everyone else I dealt with (BIG RED FLAG WHICH I IGNORDED). Met them in Moncton for pick-up and was asked for payment before I even got to test drive (ANOTHER RED FLAG WHICH I IGNORED). The car was dirty inside but again, no biggie. I know how to clean a vehicle. Initially when I was asked to write this review I declined as my mother always told me..."If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all." It's pretty hard to write a nice review about the sales person and a negative review about the dealership/Owner BUT after today...here I go...I've had the vehicle approximately four weeks and so far I've had it to two separate mechanics as the brakes "squeal" and sound horrific. OK - maybe it wasn't a $50,000 vehicle but $20,000 isn't insignificant to me and who wants a "new to them" vehicle that sounds that way? One mechanic I paid out-of-pocket to look at my vehicle, the other was paid by Auction Direct with strict instructions they would NOT be paying for any parts. They turned the rotors...no one does that today and both mechanics have told me that even though I have a valid inspection sticker, I have sub-standard, bottom grade brakes. OK fine - I will deal with that. Today I was running errands and the car wouldn't start. I called AAA hoping that somehow I had merely run the battery down and simply needed a boost (I knew this was not the case) only to find my alternator belt was completely frayed. I had it towed to the nearest VW dealer and will deal with that as I know in advance that Auction Direct has walked away after cashing my bank draft. I would like to think that any car dealership worth their salt and selling a vehicle would do a better point inspection to make sure the product they are selling is in top shape. This was not the case with Auction Direct and if I could give less than a one star rating (Natalie aside), I would do it in a heartbeat. NEW... Google wouldn't allow me to write a new review and I'm not sure why but I would like to say that I did hear back from Donnie as he posted he would do. Donnie was very understanding and concerned with my dilemma. Auction Direct covered the full cost of my repairs and of course I'm very pleased they did so. I cannot alter my star rating either so I will say here that it has moved beyond a one. Thank you Donnie.

Most definitely the most un professional finance managers I have ever seen in the car selling business . Sales guys seem pretty decent, but having a good sales team with a poor finance management makes for a poor business. I would take business somewhere that actually wants it ! EDIT: Business owner is trying to defend finance managers by saying some different credit situations can't be helped. Your finance manager spent less than an hour working my file. He submitted me and my Cosigner to all the banks except the one bank we told him we had a previous approval with . Your finance manager also advised me that my credit file contained collections ; when I tried to explain to him that I've had this issue before with different dealerships and was able to provide a copy of my own personal equifax file which shows DAILY credit monitoring, he didn't seem to care very much and told me that if we have an approval else where, why not just go there ? Is that someone you want trying to sell vehicles with your company? Different credit situations would apply to someone with extremely poor and non established credit, not someone who has a cosigner with established credit and established credit of their own. Bottom line is ; He didn't want to waste the time trying to make a deal work and just wanted to move onto an easier approval for someone else .

My experience at this dealership was negative for three main reasons. The first reason was the fact that the charged me $898 for an administrative fee. While I fully expect to pay an administrative fee, $898 is absolutely outrageous. The second reason is the fact that they undercoated it without telling me and then charged me for it. I wasn't told that it was undercoated until I was leaving and I never authorized it to be undercoated. Plus the stuff that they use isn't oil based, it is the tar based garbage that can crack and trap moisture again the metal promoting rust. They also charged me $855 for the understanding which is another outrageous amount. The third reason is the fact that they mailed my paperwork to my previous address, the address that I haven't lived at for eight months! The paperwork itself had the right address on it but the envelope had the previous address on it. I have no idea how they managed that one.

If I could give this zero star I would but it won't let me post first of all I went in there to look at a Dodge Charger that was a 2010 with a sunroof or so they said on there Kijiji ad I went in there to test drive to only find out they lied and it didn't have a sunroof they also wouldn't let me drive it without someone else which the other car dealership let me then after that when I sat down with them and talked about the finiancing with the banker for a minute the car dealership salesperson left and didn't even say goodbye or thanks or anything horrific service there prices are a discount to there horrible service highly don't recommend

I strongly recommend this place when purchasing a vehicle, I had visited a couple other dealers with my not so great credit, and they were being really shady. Acting all worried and unsure that they could get me approved for a lease even with a cosigner.This just added to my stress as I was in dire need of a vehicle. Honestly this place is a waste of time. They insist on coming with you for the test drive which is just weird. And because they don't want to be away from the office for long the test drive is five minutes around the block. Total waste of time . Every other dealership just lets you get on with it, so Auction Direct really suffers by comparison .

My husband and I stopped into Auction Direct approximately 24 hours ago, on the hunt for a specific vehicle to meet our needs. Sadly there was none on the lot, but Jerell didn't stop there, he went to a manager and told them our circumstances and low and behold the van we wanted was brought in the night before, not only the van we wanted, but the van with all the options, and best of all the price we NEEDED. A quick test drive and we were hooked. We spoke with Paul in their finance team, explained our situation told him what we needed, and unlike many others in his role, he listened!
