The people who work at Kevin Burke's State Farm insurance have to be amongst THE most helpful and diligent that I have ever dealt with here in New Brunswick. Always very friendly and very prompt service and they can never do too much to help. We have also found their premiums to be the lowest in town - so it is that fact combined with great service that keeps us there. Our work is handled by the FANTASTIC Melanie MacMillan but we have also been assisted by Katherine - and she is a star as well! Well worth a phone call to see if they can provide you with better service and a better price than whoever you happen to be insuring with now. Also one of our cars was damaged when parked by another driver and State Farm could not possibly have been more helpful and cheerful about it all. Unfortunately we also had a disaster in our home - in the form of a heating pipe bursting with LOTS of damage caused - again Melanie and everyone at State Farm could not possibly have been more helpful. If there were more businesses like this in New Brunswick we'd be the economic powerhouse of Canada I swear! ALSO I would add that if you are a Biker (I am - I have two bikes) they are really very good to deal with in respect to m/c insurance. Righteous folks!.

While purchasing a house, I contacted this office for a quote, and advised at the time that I would be unable to occupy the house until a month or so after the possession date, due to the time needed to relocate from overseas. A quote was provided, however it was then rescinded after the purchase, as they changed their minds, stating they couldn’t insure a “vacant” house. The house in question will not be “vacant” at any point. As of the settlement date in two weeks time, this will be my primary and only residence. While it will be briefly unoccupied (which differs from “vacant”, in insurance terms), my furniture/belongings will all be in the house, and the property will be regularly checked over the month it takes me to arrive and clear covid quarantine requirements. I’m told that my short absence makes it impossible to insure the property, despite there being no problem at the time the initial quote was given. Does this company not allow their clients to go away on holidays, and leave someone in charge of their property? What if a person becomes ill or injured, requiring hospitalisation? There are any number of reasons which could see a person stuck away from their home for a month… buyer beware here; you may not have the insurance coverage you think you do! **edit to reply to the owner’s reply, as I don’t seem able to post a reply separately: Thank you for the reply. All (!) other companies I’ve spoken with have no issues with insuring the property under the same conditions/situation, so I’m not sure what the issue was with your company. While I do appreciate the offer to find a solution, I’m in the process of narrowing down the other quotes, and will be going with one of your competitors. Thank you anyway.

With one phone call to Lori she was back to me with a quote, better then anyone in the city of Fredericton. and less then my original payment. Got me out of a huge bind of not having any insurance. Now a few months later. I found myself in need of a new to me vehicle. Without any questions or concerns Lori ran numbers for me for several types of trucks. I thought Kevin Burk only offered auto insurance but I was informed by shannon that you also have life insurance. In the near future, I will be considering building a home and she informed us that when we go for our morgage the bank is going to offer us morgage insurance but after speaking with her we will definitely choose her protection over the banks protection. Kevin Burke's office treated me as if I were family. Since I was unable to do anything myself (being in the hospital) my mother had to take care of everything for me (and she was in PEI).
