Lona and Emily were absolutely wonderful to work with when we were getting our mortgage. Lona made us feel so comfortable talking about finances and truly cared about our home buying experience as a whole. Lona is a guru in all aspects of mortgage shopping! She worked hard to get us a better rate than most banks would ever offer even when our credit was less than stellar... We are huge fans of the work Gatsby Mortgages does and would HIGHLY recommend Lona for all mortgage needs.

I went with Lona because she was highly recommended to me. However I found her to be very uncommunicative, and would not respond to any of my emails or the emails of my realtor. She wasted my time, caused me alot of unecessary stress, and she put in very little effort and ultimately failed in trying to get me approved for a mortgage. I had to find someone else on short notice. The other mortgage broker I found was wonderful, very friendly and informative and was able to get me approved 2 days before my subjects were removed....no thanks to Lona. I do not recommend Lona at all.

When my husband and I were looking for a mortgage broker, Lona’s name came up time and time again. We have never had a better experience nor been more at ease when purchasing a home or renewing a mortgage on our home. We have always been 100% confident in her knowledge, customer care and honesty. She has presented us with great options, all well explained, easy to understand and no surprises. We would recommend her to anyone looking to purchase or refinance a home - we will stay with her as long as she is in the business. Thank you for all you have done for us over the years!

I am not impressed by the service my husband and I received from Lona at Gatsby mortgages. We went to Lona mid-July because we wanted to purchase a condominium. The first meeting with Lona was great however, she does not communicate the status of your mortgage with you. We are still waiting for her to get back to us on the different interest rates and which banks can offer mortgages for less than 75K. For someone who works with mortgages daily and considers themselves a mortgage broker, I find it hard to believe she did not know which bank/ institutions can offer loans under 75K. Not only has she wasted our time, but she has wasted the sellers time and the lawyers time. I had to keep pushing the condition removal date in hopes of waiting to hear from her. Luckily, I was able to get in touch with RBC mortgages and was able to purchase the condo with no problems. We would have appreciated if she would have the decency to inform us that she can’t provide a mortgage for us regardless of the reason. Please do not use her if you are interested in purchasing a home and I would not recommend her to anybody.
