He made me feel welcome I also had a brief encounter with Tafar whom a person I was with knew. He was very accomodating and nice. I would also like to say that tafar went above and beyond and gave us a drink as we looked for stuff. Thank you Cash box for your kind nature. This is a bad business. Go to Loan Star they'll give you a weeks grace and phone and leave a message letting you know your stuff is coming up due. They won't charge you another months interest if you come in that weeks grace period. No messages from these peoples.

I dont even know where to start my whole month has been terrible and I honestly have to say the folks that work here are absolutely amazing... they almost made me cry i entered their oilers ticket contest won and they even threw in an oilers Jersey!!! They were rude and lied or discriminate towards me. My wife had been there at this store yesterday had a good all around experience. She suggested i go there with the same merchandise. When i inquired about pawning or selling the same merchandise they took from my wife the day before. They told me they dont take the stuff i had. I mentioned just yesterday they did take it. I was made to feel like i was a lier to them as they showed me a display case with 3-5 pieces similar to what i brought and then asked what were they supposed to do with the ones in their case... I had no answer for that because its not my place to advise on how to run a pawn store... I asked my wife for her reciept to show the guy behind the counter i was telling him the truth. He looked at it and said they dont take the items i brought. I mentioned to him my items wont be going on display he still made me feel like i was wasting his time and that i was now annoying him as well. Ive been a loyal customer to cash box since they opened the doors. Both locations!!! Poor customer service and discrimination from the west end store. Storage excuses have been the only response from the store on 97st. Ive only purchased things from the 97st store couldnt pawn there because they have no room to store the items. Well i hope you can get your business running better seems to me you are headed for disaster with a oneway pawn store. Its very competitive business. It was easy to find a neighbouring store that didnt have storage issues or a problem taking in a popular item from a first time customer. I can see why your business is struggling when you dont have a good customer service experiences your loyal customers will seek it elsewhere I will not recommend this store or the 97st store they are finding it to difficult to do proper business and leave you feeling cheated and lied to.

Jeff is an awesome guy my girl deals with him every month for her rings. Today I went in there to get a modern warfare 3 and also was able to get a signed Anotonio Brown helmet on layaway. They only ask 10 percent down and every month another 10 percent payment until ita paid then it's yours! Highly recommend using this pawn shop over Cash Canada which is right across the street, these guys are more honest friendly and family oriented. They probably have the best prices in town and stuff you wont find anywhere else.

I went here recently with some items I no longer needed and spoke with Marissa. She is absolutely fantastic and will be the only person I deal with in UEG from here on out. Her communication skills are great, she holds a good conversation while checking out your items, she's friendly and inviting but most of all she's honest. I gave her my asking price (what I thought would be fair because of dealings at other shops) and she came back with almost double what I asked! I have never EVER had a pawn shop do that. The integrity and honesty at this shop is great. Its also very clean and well kept, things are easy to find and and there isn't any iffy-condition looking stuff for sale. I was supposed to do this review a few days ago, sorry Marissa! Lol. But in al seriousness. Marissa is now the only person I will be seeing for both selling and purchasing! Thanks cash box!

I can't stress how helpful the staff is here! Before coming to Cash Box I went to Cash Canada on Whyte Avenue because there existed one awesome African American guy who always helped me. He has since moved to Cash Box. I was INCREDIBLY relieved that I found him. The rest of the staff at Cash Box is incredible to boot! The staff at cash canada on Whyte must be under new management because they have terrible service and even worse management. In addition, they were upset me sister gave them a bad review because they were trying to rip her off severely, so they got all of themselves and their friends to give them 5 stars just to mislead the public. WHEN cash canada gives you an awful quote or tries to sell you items for a ridiculous price, CALL anybody else (Cash Box if you want to leave with a smile) for another quote or opinion. I wouldn't put it past cash canada on whyte to undercut and sell it on you with a "sorry, we lost it" reply. Please go beyond reviews to look into this. I almost lost my new iPhone X and my sister's new iPhone 8+ at Whyte cash canada for less than $500.

Just purchased a picture ( map from Goonies movie) with a $10 price tag, lady took my payment ( debit) then suddenly said she can't sell it as it was priced wrong. I told her that she already charged me for it but refused to let me have it as she could get fired. She was polite but to refuse me of product after purchase is definitely not a professional business practice. They also could not put the purchase back on to my card, but offered to put the picture on lay away for 10X the price that I purchased it for. Will try to contact management tomorrow, hopefully can make this a better review.

This was the worst experience I've ever had!!! Not only did they take my deposit money for two months but also they pulled my stuff off the shelf and sold it right out from underneath me a month before I was even due again. ALMOST $4000.00 dollars worth of merchandise that I worked my but off for almost 4 years to pay for and ended up being compensated with a total of $550. Lost all my kids pictures, Grad pics, music, wedding pics off my computer! The guitar that my son saved up to buy me ss a Christmas gift and my smart TV. Thanks Tafara!!

Came here the other day often times I like to check out pawn shops see what’s happening, well as I was looking at the jewellery a cockroach was walking on the floor?! I’ve never been more disgusted in my life. Do you have any idea how easy it is to get cockroaches? I left immediately they’re lucky I didn’t throw up. Service was friendly but with cockroaches walking around freely you think they have to be, how else would they fool the customers. I’m happy I didn’t buy anything or pawn anything here! People check your house for cockroaches

Usually THIS place is awesome but recently had a major issue "DO NOT PURCHASE THE WARRANTY !!!!!" there is no "fine print" (OR ANY PRINT FOR THAT MATTER), and they can choose to deem your item not in-the same condition, and then not hold up their end of the deal that you paid for was a frequent shipper and told many friends about this "awesome: shop (big mistake i guess) wont be returning here again !!

I am still in disbelief about getting ripped off at cash box in Edmonton on stony plain road. Bought a humidifier that said it was new in box for 138$! Got it home to find out it doesn’t work. Employees wouldn’t return my money because I didn’t buy the warranty. I even asked to exchange for another item. Flatly denied. Wow. These guys are in the business of ripping poor people off. Lots of other shops around to do business with. Who actually care about customers.

This is the first time I've been to a pawnshop, I visited all 4 on the corner. Cashbox was by far the cleanest and friendliest shop. The staff were upbeat and did not hide behind a counter. I found a great deal on a jacket. I will return.. some cool things here!

This is not your typical pawn shop. I was here today and worked with Tafara. He went above and beyond to get me the best price. The staff here are great. I was stuck in a truly hard place last year. I just need some money to get me by. I went to a bank but they couldn't help me out. I went to other pawn shops in the area but all of them just low balled me. But then I went it to Cash Box, it was clean and organized.
