Your company is predatory to the consumer. Pay off a debt and then you refuse to send into the Credit Bureaus that the debt has been cleared. My account was settled and paid off in Sept of 2020 and all I get is, "we do not have to report to the bureaus". This is a scam. People might as well just keep the debt instead of doing the right thing since your company chooses to take the money and not do the right thing! This will also be reported to every BBB in every state you operate in.

I had numerous issues with the website itself not loading payment option pages through Google Chrome, and even after switching to Microsoft Edge, it errored out during payment processing until I switched to entering my bank information. After that, payment went through and was verified by the account manager through the website chat service. All in all, it wasn't a painful experience and I'm glad to have paid off my debt.

Though the person Adam I dealt with did his job well and I have no issues with his performance. I am disappointed in the fact I received a mailed in offer of 1 time payment of 40% off but as I'm not home often I missed the offer end date. I contacted them in hopes it could still be acceptable so I could resolve the debt. Nope they wouldn't work with me to take care of the debt at all offering a meager 10% discount to pay off. Well I guess it's back to tiny payments over the next 3 or more years. Sad they wouldn't work with you more to resolve the debt it would have been a win win.

So I am trying to fix my credit paying this collection on July 2021, they said they do reports every month, today's date is November 9 2021, and I still see this collection on my Experian. I called them and they said they delete collections after 2 YEARS from the first late payment you have reported in the account. That means that they will delete it for me November 22, 2021 (fortunately for me). I don't see the point to pay a debt that is not going to be deleted!! That is a scam!

I only gave a one star rating just to leave this comment. As of april 10, 2020 at 5:45 pm, I offered to make a minimum payment of $50.00 a month starting in.june of 2020 due to the covid 19 pandemic and was told, that payment wasn't enough to keep there from being a lawsuit. I then asked to speak with a manager and his response was, "there isnt one available as I work from home". I said alright well give me corporates number so I can get this resolved today. His response was, I don't think anyone is there. I then said, that's okay, if no one is there to take my call then I can leave them a message, I know how to do that. He then said, well I don't have corporates number but can give you a different number that may lead you back here or somewhere else. I thanked him for his time and told him I would look the number up myself and ended the call. Note: My husband and I were more than willing to start sending I payments but because it wasn't what they were asking for, I was threatened with a lawsuit because he was not going to stop the collection. I'm sorry, but any time someone tells me they dont have a supervisor/manager available or the phone numbers requested and then threaten me with a lawsuit, they barked up the wrong tree and obviously don't know my background or knowledge on these kinds of things. Third party or not, if the credit card wants their money, then I suggest they accept what money they can get and not threaten the consumer with such things. My husband has been a consumer with this particular credit card company for the past 20 years, and always in good standings until he fell ill last year. This threat is uncalled for and so was the sentiment of our payments.

First of all this companies employees specially the Manager need to know how to talk with a unknown person and also they need to respect when they are talking to someone. Without my authorization I don’t know how they got my personal information and which some are correct and some are wrong . This is the worst company I've ever worked with in my life! I was told that if I paid my debt they would delete it from my credit report. However as soon as they collected the money they quickly recanted that and said that they will keep it on my credit an extra 6 months. This company sent an offer for collection and I paid that amount in full, it still reflected a balance that differed from settlement offer. I called the rep and barely understandable says, "We need to investigate". Investigate what?! Look at the payment made and offer sent. They are obviously not aware of how their own offers work. I normally would not leave a review for a debt collector, but I feel like I should with this one. When I first started receiving calls from this collector regarding an older debt that I have they were completely unreasonable with me. I got defensive and mean and unreasonable with these people, but only when they questioned my character and my situation. It is hard enough as is to address a debt that hurt your life tremendously, but when your character is questioned it makes it even more difficult. Upset with the situation, I called to speak to a supervisor. And while he was in agreeance with his employees initially, he ended up apologizing to me after I revealed some personal information as to why I was unable to make a significant payment to the debt I owed. I actually appreciate this. Apologizing after having a hard conversation with someone isnt always easy and I appreciate this company for actually apologizing. I was not nice to them and I got extremely frustrated, and I acted as such. But it came to a point where we were just humans with one another, and I commend that. My advice to this company is just try to be more human with the people you're collecting from. It is really hard for some people and believe it or not talking about some debt for some people brings up traumatic things. It is hard to have a conversation with people who are upset, but work with them and be human with them and you may have a better opportunity to come to an agreement on something. Best wishes.

I have been trying to get a letter showing I paid in full to Midland Credit since I was paid off in February. They have refused to send one verbally, and asked i send a fax which we did 2 times. Since our fax is via e-fax we get the reports and neither time did it go through. Midland refused to give an E-mail for which most reputable companies give. The names they give are usully not real names, but fake names so when you call you can never reach the same person. Hard dealing with a company that seems shady!

In March 2018, I paid 75% of my balance. The representative, Jamila Williams, assured me that the remaining 25% of the balance would be written off. However, I checked it again in February 2021, and that remaining 25% is still there. I contact Midland again, and they said they would check into it and contact me again in 90 days. I had to contact them to get a response at all, though. Surprise, surprise: they investigated themselves and found they did nothing wrong. Despite their own representative's reassurances, now I have to pay 75% of the remaining balance that I was promised I didn't have to cover. They lie. They will tell you one thing, and then when it's convenient to them, they'll change to something completely when the mood strikes them.

Wouldn’t recommend using this company to pay off any debt or debtors. Company will offer to report to Credit bureaus as you pay your debt down. So that it will look good on your credit report. They will send an email after receiving your payment stating that they will NOT be reporting to the credit bureaus. This is to get them out of reporting to the credit bureaus. So all your payments will not be improving or changing your credit. So you will actually be wasting your money and not helping your credit at all. You do better using a company like Hunderfold credit rescue. Which will help you with your debt and help rebuild your credit. Save your money and put it towards a company that can help you rebuild your credit and lower your debt all at the same time. They just take your money with no help to you at all.

I am writing this review because I am extremely disappointed and frustrated with this company for the reason that I have had a debt with them and I made multiple contact with them over the phone providing my phone number email and address verifying my account multiple multiple times over and over I’ve called the company so many times throughout the duration of my debt to make payment arrangements I even went as far as paying weekly instead of monthly in my arrangements to pay off sooner on several occasions i was put through torture each time I called, I got people on the phone who were rude and unprofessional arguing back with me talking back to me, although I had shared with them my frustration that not every call was documented supposedly!!!! i reached out to them today due to my credit report been dinged stating I was late on a payment with Midland credit and that is not true it’s false information as I was paying them weekly not monthly, and the update is not correct because I paid off this company and they have not removed it from my credit report they have not submitted my payment information so it’s still reflecting as negative it’s still reflecting that I owe them money and it’s reflecting now that I am past due and owe a payment so my credit score dropped. I explain to the gentleman that I just talk to he was not understanding nor was he helpful and he told me I needed to wait he was in no way trying to help me submit a positive report to the credit agency and I asked them to remove the late payment issue on my credit report from their company but he said he could not help me... So my advice if you’re seeking to pay off a debt get an attorney or go another route don’t directly deal with them because you’ll get the runaround and have constant issues that they could care less about your credit score or your negative debt on your report and they are not willing to help you in no way. But that’s my opinion and my experience I’m just sharing with you all what I had to go through an indoor and still till this day.

First of all, the mailings that I received from them were in Spanish. Then I went and called the number yesterday to finally pay the debt and all I got was someone speaking Spanish. Hung up, tried to find another number with no luck so I called back, still in Spanish. I had to say "Do we speak any English" and the representative who I thought was an automated recording started talking in English. I tried to barter the amount to just get it paid but they wouldn't take more than $600 off. I've had companies who have settled for close to half of the amount. We all know they didn't pay that much to obtain that account. Needless to say I'm being generous about giving them $100 every two weeks.

When calling to make sure this was corrected and that I wouldn't receive any future accidental charges to my account, AND to get a paid in full letter via email, Shawn (or Sean) told me "rules were rules" and that there was absolutely nothing he could do. Understood. I asked to speak to someone who COULD help, a manager or supervisor or someone on the technical back end to fix the mistake on the website and he notified me that all of the managers were very busy and on calls. Also partially understood. I have no real proof to the contrary. Ultimately, here is my concern: it took no time at all to receive email communications from the agent I initially created my payment plan with (I believe her name was Lisa Rice ext. 53359), and it took no time at all to get my money from me on time and in full, but its seemingly impossible to just as quickly fix an error on Midland Credit Management's end, AND receive email notification that my final payment has been made. As a consumer, I don't feel Shawn (or Sean) lived up to the company's value of "we care". I do not believe he "put me first" or "engaged with me with honesty, empathy, and respect". There are testimonials on the website that state agents went above and beyond to help solve consumer problems. I do not believe it is a genuine testimonial. My agent the did bare minimum and lacked a solutions-oriented mindset. It is my sincerest hope that in the future consumers have positive website experiences that give them the most up to date AND correct information and that problems and simple reasonable requests are solved with the same resources and urgency that money is demanded from them. These types of inconsistencies in customer service do not make credit accessible; a direct contradiction to Midland Credit Management's alleged vision. Simply put, this, is not okay. This is far from okay.

I just got off the phone from rescheduling one payment and call was over 20 min long. Every time I call this place just to make one time payment calls are extremely long and as reading the script of when payment is made the representative repeats oneself again rereading parts of it again. Every time I’ve called there’s workers with a heavy accent which I’m all for and not against but sometimes a sensitive manner when dealing with big payment amounts. I wish calls can just be quick and easy for a one time payment and not be placed on hold so much every time. On top of that, I was told I was served but no one ever gave me papers on hand in person which I don’t think that’s even a correct process to serve someone.

Every time I contact this company, I can barely understand the same man who answers every time and says a different name. When I ask for an American rep, I am always placed on extended holds and told none are available. I was told this two days in a row. I was told it is a global company, but I can only reach Indians who speak limited English. I keep being told to call back tomorrow, but I don't think there are any Americans because I have never spoken to one after several calls on different days. My bill went from 869.00 to 2,200 ?? I told them send me itemize purchases.. have it on my credit report as a 1,700 dollar loan when it is a credit card if they give me an agreement amount they going to send me. a 1099 c and say this was additional income and report it to the Internsl Revenue Service as income when it is not. so I will contact my attorney general in Florida. Contact your attorney general in your state they taking advantage,,,,.

Well,well, this company is a scam, I was making my payments, and after I paid them more than $500 dollars in payments, instead of the balance going down it went up, by more than $400 dollars, so now I'll see them in court, cause they're trying to take advantage of the little guy, and they're being dishonest.

So my experience with MCM was overall good I had a discount for my debt that I owed, and In times like this it was very relieving. In my opinion they did a good job answering my questions didn’t have any issues. I love the options they have with the discounts and payment plan. I know some people will have a different experience than me. And I know that some collection company aren’t very helpful but I think MCM really do there best to help you out. So thank you MCM. Very good company to work with for paying off debt. They have worked with me for years to pay down my debt as little as $5 a month which is helpful when you don't have a lot of money and living check to check. Even at paying $5 a month I felt good still being able to pay down my debts little by little. Today I paid off my debt and it feels soo good.

Was being harassed and sued by Midland which goes by other names as well. They have had Class Action Suits against them and had to pay out Millions in damages. I contacted the Attorney Generals office in my State and they backed off only after I had hired an Attorney and fought it. It cost me for an Attorney but the Attorney's Office had a big impact on the outcome. Fight them by asking for a Class Action Suit to be filed again against them and file a claim with your Attorney Generals Office.

I HAVE A HARD TIME UNDERSTANDING WHY THERE IS ALWAYS A INDIAN MAN ANSWERING THE PHONE AND YOU CANNOT EVEN UNDERSTAND HIM! also they refuse to remove an account that was under my bankrupcy? i explained this to him and he started getting mad demanding all kinda of proof, i told him its public records he can look it up but he just insisted i need to do all the legwork and proceeded to demand more personal info. I keep getting calls at random times from 3am -7am almost daily. The calls on my caller ID say it's from Virginia but when I asked guy where he was located he told me Florida lol then I asked again then he admitted he was in India. Hey MCM instead of outsourcing your jobs maybe you can help out unemployed people with jobs in america first.
