Rico at HQ Mortgages was the best decision we made! This is our umpteen real estate transaction and the first time we went with a broker instead of directly with the bank themselves. Rico made sure we got a reasonable mortgage rate and that we had no penalties from our previous mortgage. He took care of problems we didn't even know existed. The mortgage specialist at the bank even stated that we did good by choosing Rico, seeing as he made sure we avoided just under 10k of bank penalties. Worth it just with that, to say the least. My pre-approval amount changed so many time from $195,000 to $260.000. Even when I was told if I give a bigger deposit it would all work out. Witch I did. Then I’m told it good for $260,000 with the deposit I’m giving. All I need is the deposit go to go. So I spend $600 on a house inspection just to be told the next day that I’m not approved and could have never been approved more then $195,000 and would need the double in deposit to get the $260,000 mortgage. Not happy.
