I received absolutely outstanding service today by Lisa and Dominique. I spent a great portion of the day online trying to apply for loans, with no success as most of them require a credit check and when I only want to borrow $100 or $200, a credit check is totally not necessary. There was no one to talk to... no one to help me. So I phoned Money Mart at 766 Princess Street in Kingston and the manager Lisa told me over the phone there was no guarantee but to come on in and she would see what she could do. I went in and within 15 minutes I left with money and feeling confident and comfortable. Everything is very clear, and any questions I had they answered wonderfully. They didn't present with any judgment whatsoever. Just exceptional service all around! Thank you so much for your help today ladies!

I want to start by saying that this money mart has been a consistent disappointment since I started using them. The staff, especially the evening and night staff, are rude and seem to give incorrect information. This year I filed my taxes with money mart and was guaranteed that it would be completed within 48 hours and ended up waiting nearly 2 weeks. AND to make this experience even worse, they didn't even do them correctly and now a month and a half later I'm STILL waiting for certain aspects to be completed. It's not worth the headache.

My partner went in to pay some money on our loan and requested a print out of the payments left. We usually get a print out of our breakdown at the lakeshore location ( they are very nice and usually accommodating) . The last at this hamilton location however, rudely said to her that they don’t give print outs. I was appalled that I would be refused to see how much was left on my own loan. We refused to leave and requested a print out, she reluctantly gave my partner one and said it called mortzation schedule. Whatever the hell that is. Just plain horrible customer service. Not welcoming at all. Just a simple request that could have been easily honored.

As much as we all dislike having to pay in order to cash a cheque, this money mart, as I have experienced in others, always seem to have very delightful and highly knowledgeable staff members. They will always lead you through the best possible solution tailored to you needs. They also offer a very affordable Pre-Paid Mastercard. Something I find to be very stress free, due to the fact I am never waiting until a bill comes in the mail that is usually higher than you were expecting. Unlike the generic pre-paid cards you can get from corner stores or the grocery store, those cards are not useable in many places as I found out. One last thing, Money Mart Service personal never Press the selling up on there products, and they give you FULL DISCLOSURE without any hidden agendas. Thank You Money Mart for always being as helpful as possible. It is more than obvious they all work very hard for each and every customer.

Went to do our taxes (advertising says same day tax refund) on Friday, March 3rd, 2017.. They said to come in next day because it was processing.. Called next day.. Said there was an error.. Asked if we can come in Sunday, she said yes. Went in on Sunday just to be told my husband has to come back again on Monday? Then he shows up on monday to be told he has to go home and call himself? Seriously?! Why not give him the number in the first place instead of making him run around for no flipping reason! Never doing taxes here again!!????????

Zak .. I don't know what to say. You made a simple transaction a nightmare. This business is supposed to be about going in, answering BASIC information questions, showing proof of ID, getting your money and the LEAVING. Instead you accused me of lying although I explained to you the situation but you were too difficult to try and understand even though I did not have to explain anything to you to begin with. You came up with questions, just because. Claiming that you were "doing your job" and made up stuff about "policy". You should not assume that clients/customers are naive or don't know how things work or not know their rights. When I insisted that you prove to me that the questions you were asking were being indeed asked by the system, you kept saying it was your job. I repeatedly asked you " Is the question on the screen, did the system ask the question" you were evasive and did not deny or confirm that the system asked those questions, then you told me that if " i did not feel safe I could leave" so I asked you to cancel the transaction and explained to you I was going to complain about this charade, and what did you do? ONLY THEN you retaliated and "accepted" processing my transaction without any further "questions" or answers . IF you had any suspicion about my transaction you should have politely declined providing the service, rather than interrogating me relentlessly and not accepting my answers on the claim that you did not understand. I will NEVER set foot into this place again and i WARN everyone as well.

I can honestly say that I am very impressed with this store. I attended various stores within the city and they all told me the same thing. I could pay back my loan today and return on the 20th to reloan. Then given an option of paying 1/2 and then paying the rest on the 20th to reloan. I made calls to head office and was advised that this was not coming from head office and actually seen so many distressed people due to the other stores doing this. I have always went to the Napanee location and really liked the ladies that worked there, never had a bad experience, so when I moved to Kingston I was not looking for a forward to switching to a different location. The first time I went in the girl working ( I didn't catch her name) was amazingly helpful and super friendly which made me feel a bit better, have to say I was bummed to learn she was temporary but the next week when I went back I was ecstatic to see a familiar face from Napanee. Lisa has always been extremely helpful, knowledgeable, informative (if there is anything new or survey's etc.) Professional and friendly. It really made my day to learn she was going to be sure at my local location because you can advertise and do whatever but it's staff like her and the ones at the Napanee location that really make your services great!

12:10AM on a Monday, I walk into this location to load my MasterCard Titanium card, the teller has a customer in progress when I walk in. I wait more than 25 minutes before she is done with him and then it takes me about a minute to load my card! Customer service at Money Mart is absolutely the worst! Only 1 teller at the location is fine at this hour, but they desperately need a fast lane or a machine that will enable you to put cash onto your prepaid credit card. I have no idea why it should take a bank more than 25 minutes to cash the previous customer's company cheque, and why I have to be privy to all of his personal information as I am standing in line. I have had similar experiences with another location, with the same situation and even longer wait times! Absolutely ridiculous!

THE MONEY MART ON UPPER JAMES AND MOHAWK IS ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE!!! THE SERVICE IS GARBAGE . THEY'RE ALL SO EFFIN LAZY AND DON'T TRY TO DO ANYTHING TO HELP. MY EMPLOYEE WAS GIVEN A BUSINESS CHEQUE WRITTEN IN HIS NAME FROM MY COMPANY. THEY WERE GIVEN MINE AND MY WIFE'S INFO BECAUSE WE CO OWN THE COMPANY TOGETHER. HEAD OFFICE SAYS THEY CALLED MY PHONE AND NO ONE ANSWERED WHICH WAS A LIE BECAUSE MY EMPLOYEE WEN'T EARLIER TO CASH THE CHEQUE AND WAS TOLD THEY COULDN'T UNLESS THEY SPOKE WITH WHOEVER WROTE THE CHEQUE WHICH WAS MYSELF. I WAITED BY MY PHONE WHILE MY EMPLOYEE WENT INTO CASH HIS CHEQUE. THEY SAID HEAD OFFICE CALLED ME WHICH THEY DIDN'T THEREFORE UNABLE TO CASH THE CHEQUE FOR THE SECOND TIME. I CALLED AND VERIFIED EVERYTHING THAT WAS NEEDED TO BE ABLE TO CASH THE CHEQUE. STILL WASN'T ABLE TO. SAYING THEY CASH 98 PERCENT OF CHEQUES IS A COMPLETE LIE!. ALSO ANOTHER EMPLOYEE WENT FOR A PAYDAY LOAN. HE'S BEEN WORKING WITH ME FOR A YEAR AND A HALF. BUT BECAUSE A YEAR AND A HALF PRIOR TO HIM WORKING WITH ME HE CASHED AN ONTARIO WORKS CHEQUE THERE SO THEY WOULD NOT GIVE HIM A LOAN BECAUSE HE CASHED A OW CHEQUE THERE. THE FUNNY THING IS MY EMPLOYEE THAT WAS TRYING TO CASH HIS CHEQUE WENT TO A DIFF MONEY MART IN HAMILTON AND WAS ABLE TO CASH IT NO QUESTIONS ASKED. THIS LOCATION IS A JOKE!!!! DONT EVEN KNOW HOW THE PEOPLE THERE ARE STILL EMPLOYED WHEN THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE IS TERRIBLE AND THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT THEIR CUSTOMERS. I came to use Western Union Service and they kept asking many questions that I haven't experienced in other western union locations, So I believe they are collecting people info for marketing and when I asked the cashier, she first told me these info is required for Western Union then when I said that I used the service before without having to give my phone number or country of birth she said that the info is required by money Mart not Western union!!!
