The car we purchased was a used rental although this was disclosed in the initial contract it was overlooked by Erin initially without verbal communication of the details. When she was reading our contract to us conveniently and hastily she flew through that section. I wouldn't have known it was Hertz Rental Car if I did't find the old Chubb Insurance slips in my glove compartment a couple weeks later while cleaning it. It had very low km, should have been a red flag. We are new at this, perfect targets... and now we know why. We've complained and because it's on the contract there is nothing the Ontario Motor Vehicle Industry Council can do. We are also paying $49,000 for a used Ford Fusion. The retail value of this vehicle is around an average book sale of $12,000. We're paying four times this amount. Does anyone know who to talk to about being overcharged for a vehicle? Surely there is a consumer protection Act against gouging and unfair dealer pricing. I am looking into this the media has been alerted of several issues with this place and not just from me. We may just have to suck it up and continue to be ripped off. Live and Learn. Next issue is with ANOTHER vehicle from this dealership My husband also traded in our Chrysler Town and Country for a Dodge Journey that they didn't bother showing us the interior quality of the vehicle. Its so rough. The dash has scratches all over it. The compartments don't stay shut. The Check Engine light comes on and off as it pleases. The vehicle has STOPPED RUNNING on the 401 an uncountable amount of times. Sometimes it starts right away sometimes we have to wait or call for assistance. Just three days ago during the snow storm when I had my seven month son and daughters were stranded and stressed out on the side of North Americas busiest highways... The back of the seat (felt covers) completely falls off. The runner along the drivers side door falls off.. The heater has blown cold air since we purchased it last January. Erin and Mike sent us to their auto shop on Kingston in Pickering they cleared the vent said it was "good to go" it worked for five minutes on the way home and still to this day it still blows cold air even in the winter. We have small children and Loan Arranger was aware of this because we sat in their office for hours at a time making sure we had everything they needed to complete the purchase. Sold us a cold lemon and an overpriced Ford! Thanks The Loan Arranger very cool. 10/10 would NEVER recommend.

Wouldn’t recommend this place at all. Michelle is beyond unprofessional. Ignored my emails regarding wanting my deposit back. Trust me, do not put down a deposit at least with Michelle. I called and she tried to call me pet names and degrade me because she didn’t get the sale, sad really. I had others hear the call and it was the opposite of professionalism. Don’t waste your time with Michelle as your rep. I was told they had garbage service before I reached out and people aren’t kidding. Check their Facebook reviews too (aren’t many but they’re honest). I’ll definitely be warning others that are interested to be very careful.

When I got my car, Val did everything she could to get us road ready. The second we had concerns with our car, whether it be the fact the sticker on our car when we bought it indicated that an oil change was due less then a month later or that the gas tank wouldn’t allow me to fill it. We were sent to their mechanic in Scarborough (who never answers their phone). A whole month passes... Finally got fed up waiting for them to call, so we took our car to a manufacturer dealership. Once there, we’re notified that “Loan Arranger” hadn’t kept up with the maintenance of the car before selling it. And all they did was make sure the things covered under safety were okay. I take my frustrations back to Val, who passed me on to Erin (location manager). Erin gives me all the reasons in the book about how the mechanics will to take my money and that “Loan Arranger” isn’t responsible for that cause I choose to go there. All they are responsible for is safety! But to resolve the issue “Loan Arranger” is willing to refund me for the oil change, and will get back to me in two days. Another month passes... I speak with Erin yet again, who decides to tell me I racked up enough mileage to require an oil change anyways. And everything else I paid to fix were things I was fooled into doing that probably weren’t neccessary. After offering me a refund for my oil change a month ago, she can now only offer me a free oil change at the same shop in scarborough where no one answers the phone. This woman is rude, belittling and down right sly with her lies. As I said to her on the phone first impressions are everything. Both the Oshawa location and the Scarborough mechanic location gave a piss poor impression. That woman shouldn’t speak to any customers that way. I’ll never recommend that location to a soul. Your ethical compass is off - maintain the cars your trying to sell to families. Before something bad happens and you end up with a lawsuit. The only person who was always helpful and willing to tell us the honest truth was Val. For that we thank you, because that was the only impression attached to “the Loan Arranger” that wasn’t tainted or destroyed.

Avoid this place at all costs!! In 1 year...my credit has unfortunately slipped during the Pandemic...I thought this would be my only option. I have recently started working at GM and I was looking for something more reliable to get me back and forth. I provided David Buzzell with a budget I was comfortable with and I thought I was on my way! David came back to me with a vehicle(because of my "horrible" credit...I was NOT allowed to choose a vehicle...I need to take the 1 choice they give me)....2013 Honda Civic....4 year term....$500 per month!! $24000 for a 9 year old vehicle! I then reminded him of my $250 budget....claimed he forgot...berated me once again about my horrible credit and he reminded me he was my ONLY option (sort of felt like I was married again) Came back to me with a 2010 Kia Soul with 257, 456 KMS... At first said $250 a month...I asked for how long....he originally stated 4 years...I expressed shock! Then he stated "well maybe 2 years"! I asked for a final sticker price and he told me he couldn't give that to me until I gave him a firm that I was taking it! I was looking for something reliable to get me back and forth...not another headache that I needed to worry about every day! Now they are stating that it could be weeks for me to get the deposit I e-transferred them back....reported to the bank ....and TD has asked that I call and report it to the Police... NIGHTMARE!!!

Warning to public. I contacted the Loan Arranger back in September of 2020 and the Sales Woman Lynn was nice and i told her exactly what i wanted. So i saved up 10k and went back to her promising to give her a sale and i did in February 2021. She financed me on a car located at a completely different dealership. Here is the kicker. I asked Lynn at LEAST 6 or more times if a third party warranty was required because she kept telling me to lender wont finance me without one. I ASK the 5 or 6 time before signing the contract. Moving on a few days later i picked up my car. When i got home i spent 3 days going over all my paperwork and the lender Carfinco has paperwork in there for the financing contract and it literally states "YOU ARE NOT REQUIRED PURCHASE EXTENDED WARRANTY, GAP, LIFE, OR DISABILITY INSURANCE" So I called up the lender and behold they confirmed this BS nationwide warranty that costs 4200$ plus tax which total was just over 4800$ for a BS basic 1 year powertrain warranty I notified OMVIC, and the Lender about what happened and how I was ripped off. Sales woman reported to OMVIC and the lender had me call the dealership business manager The business manager after I told her i reported this to OMVIC and the lender and threatened legal action immediately offered to refund me and send the whole amount for this warranty back to the lender and fully applied to the principal. I would gave 1 start BUT they got me a car AND Erin business manager made up for it. By the way the sales woman was VERY unprofessional via email throughout this. The dealerships excuse... "we sold you the warranty because we needed to make money" shady as.....**** I hope you learn from this because if i did this in my customer service job I'D BE FIRED

I bought a dodge journey about a month ago and it had a noise coming from underneath . They sent me to a garage in town as they only have one at their scarborough location and is 9-5 mon to fri. The guy at the oshawa garage said nothing is wrong. I knew there is something wrong and they stated they could not use the oshawa garage again as they just do little jobs sometimes and would have to go to scarborough. I took the day off and went to scarborough, the garage could not find anything wrong but did not like the look of my tires so put on new ones. I thought wow i got new tires even though i think they are lower qaulity. Still there is this noise. Now i am at the dodge dealership for the noise underneath to find out the tires are not even balanced so ill be paying just over $100 to fix. Oh and they figured out the noise but it is covered through warranty thank goodness. Lets say the first month of having this car has been stressful.

I can't say enough good things about Raymond. From the moment I met him, I got the feeling he wanted to work with me to be 100% happy in getting what I wanted so in turn it would result in more business for him - which let's face it, needs to be the goal of a sales person. He was a no BS guy from the get go, giving me news straight about financing - not gonna lie, super expensive but if you're in a bind - and being honest about his opinions on the vehicles I was interested in. During my search for my new car, I hit up a lot of dealerships, and test drove a lot of cars. What I learned from this is there are still some shady practices going on out there, and high pressure tactics being used. Thankfully, I did not experience any of this with Erin from the loan arranger in Oshawa. All I got was quick, professional and no pressure service. This place isnt even deserving of a one star rating... STAY FAR AWAY FROM THESE CROOKS! if you need a vehicle go anywhere else, so many places will give car loans to bad credit or no credit now... save yourself from these scam artists. I had a vehicle from this place. First off, it's a lease to own not a finance...so it will not help your credit. Secondly, they do not stand behind their vehicles and hide safety issues. Third and probably the most aggrivating.... when you pay off your finance lease they do not close your account and still take payment a month later....and when you call head office to get your money back since oshawa is useless at handling anything besides a scam...you are given an even bigger headache while you chase down the people that stole from you.

HELPED ME WHEN NO ONE WOULD. Went to three other dealerships that never gave me a call back to let me know I was not approved. My husband and I came in The Loan Arranger in Oshawa. They made me feel so good, like there was hope for my future. The same day they came back with multiple options for vehicles. We just picked up the vehicle last week and unfortunately the check engine-light went on. Called in the office and spoke to my salesperson, and right away they assisted me with help from the automotive shop. It turns out, I forgot to screw on my gass cap on properly lol! The engine light is off and the vehicle drives great. I have already sent them two clients and they even paid me! Talk about win/win.

Valerie and Erin did wonders for me! Not only did I get the vehicle I've always dreamed of (2017 Ram 1500) I had the BEST experience ! I did however have little issue with the fuel light and Val said to take the vehicle to the shop they deal with in Toronto. I tried calling them but they had no availability that worked with my schedule. So I decided to take it to take it to Dodge to get them to look at it. The service department at Dodge tried to sell me on a bunch of things that I didn't need, so I told them to do just a diagnostic and they came back that a sensor was needed. I called Val to notify her that I was there and she told me not to worry. Dodge ended up covering sensor that was under warranty and I was to just pay for diagnostic. I came in to show Val and Erin the bill for diagnostic and Erin was nice enough to cover the bill , as a gesture as I called to let them know what was happening. All went well! I am extremely happy with my vehicle.

After a couple of unfruitful months looking for a used truck, I checked out the Loan Arranger in Oshawa, not expecting much action as the 3 trucks on the lot were out of my budget. Then I met Raymond. This man is awesome. He didn't even try to pitch what was on the lot, we sat down and he took the vitals. My budget, mileage, age, 4 doors, 4 wheel drive and a V8 engine. This is what was important to me. Considering the task I put on Ray, and the time I spent looking on my own, I was amazed at how quickly I was test driving a truck that had all I wanted at my price and surpassed my expectations in mileage, condition and looks. They knew I didn't understand the majority of the paperwork & financing as this was my first financed vehicle (usually bought used from kijiji) but didn't care & took advantage. I paid 27,000$ for a car worth 9 grand with 64,000km on it. That was 2 years old as well. I drove off the lot thinking whatever, good car any way maybe this will work out. I got ten mins down the road - a tire blew. I called them to let them know. Their answer? It was fine when you left. Not our problem. You bought it. I had to then go replace the tire at a Canadian Tire before I could even get home! OUT OF POCKET. Well that was upsetting. 2 weeks later? The car broke down on the side of the hwy. No roadside assistance offered. No help. No warranty all of a sudden. I needed to replace the coils & spark plugs. Out of pocket. They didn't care. When the mechanic looked it over for inspection he found MULTIPLE suspension problems that had clearly been there for awhile. They told me it had been looked at & inspected top to bottom before being sold. Obviously a lie. They also had forgotten to give me the second set of keys which were a hassle to get from them! NEVER GO HERE.

When i got my car a couple of years ago, it wasn't clean inside, not even a quick detail. I bought a 2016 Hyundai Accent from the Oshawa lot in 2017, so far can't complain about the car, but i am paying over $35.000 for a used car that had close to 60.000km on it. I don't even think the car cost that much when it was brand new. After i got the car i noticed all four wheels had little dents and rust on them. When I addressed the situation to Melissa she said she would mention it to the Manager. That was 2 years ago. Never heard back from anybody. Other thing too, I'm trying to figure out is the cost to be financed is $17004.84. The cost of borrowing is 24.5%, somehow that comes out to be $18330.69 so my final total is $35335.53, I like the car but it is way over priced, especially for a used car.

Steer clear of these people folks, do yourself a huge favor. My daughter was in the process of searching for a vehicle and dealt with Dave Buzzell at their Oshawa store. Red flag #1-He wanted her to sign papers on a vehicle they didn't even have in inventory and would have to come from auction. Over the phone he tried to tell me this how car sales does business, not true. You should never sign papers for a vehicle you can not physically see. Red flag #2-He promised her he would get her a great rate of 6.99% and then on the same phone call said he was pulling all kinds of favors to "try" to get her that, turns out the interest rate would be 11.99%. ( when this happens it because they can get a kickback from the bank/lender, its in their favor) Red flag#3-Turns out the car he was trying to get her to sign a contract for was not even the trim level she wanted. When I questioned these practices I was assured by Dave that the car would be exactly what she wanted and would be certified and in excellent mechanical (Ontario safety standards are a bare minimum at time of inspection only)and cosmetic condition yet it was sight unseen by anyone as of yet. He also stated in the same phone call that if she didn't like that vehicle he had an inventory of over 500 other vehicles to choose from yet none of these were the vehicle she wanted. We decided not to purchase a vehicle through Dave and look elsewhere. When my daughter phoned to let them know she was no longer interested in that car and would continue looking elsewhere he tried the guilt trip of how she would never find a better deal than he would give her, it was a great rate on a great car ( no set rate yet and car still unseen). Over the next few days she received repeated phone calls from Dave ( 3 calls in 3 minutes, yes I have records of it and other phone calls)and was even told that he would be calling her boyfriends mother ( a customer of his, so there is a referral fee involved)to tell her how this deal all played out. What kind of business person shares one customers information with another customer? This whole ordeal smells of shady business tactics, severe unprofessionalism and harassment. We took our business elsewhere. I would not recommend this establishment and individual to my worst enemy. let this be a learning experience for you all. When buying a vehicle do not sign any paperwork of any kind before seeing the vehicle in person and road testing. No upstanding establishment or individual will ask you to do this. Do not be afraid to ask for your own mechanic to inspect the vehicle and if something seems fishy it probably is and that is a good sign to walk away. Dealings like this give the rest of us in the automotive industry a bad name.

The Oshawa location gave me a better rate than the banks using their in-house financing! My car is absolutely beautiful and waaaaaay better than everywhere else I went! I am still in shock! Not only were the people extremely rude they couldn't even get me a loan arranged.The one girl Erin who works there had the nerve to tell me I call too much after not returning my calls. We were in the midst of loan arranging and she just didn't bother to inform me of the process. They told me originally it would take 5 minutes....well it has now been a week. . The Oshawa branch claims women are the most honest in this industry. They bad mouthed Karz Karz Karz about doing underhanded tactics. Yet, they took emotional advantage of my situation knowing I needed a car for a new job because the old one was falling apart, and my credit score situation telling me I was not smart if I didn't take advantage of the financing with an A plus creditor. I'm not saying the manager didn't work hard on it but the first flag should have been their lack of answering how much the car was but insistingto know how much I can afford and doing a credit check based on that information, the second was bad-mouthing the other dealer not too far away from them After getting me to sign the purchase they didn't follow up on cleaning the car which stunk from cigarette smoke - used stalling tactics with me patiently waiting on the Tuesday with the car returningwith cigarette smell (had to take an area manager to direct the problem) - the next day followed to ensure it went where promised (need I say that the manager, she was surprised to see me sitting and waiting early in the morning as she pulled up in a pick up truck smoking. To date, no promised car manual book nor car maintenance book - which even the manager indicated he'll look into this issue - no call back for the manual promised me. With all these problems I did some investigating. Guess what? It appears the mileage has been turned back....is this why no maintenance manual? Definitely will send all evidence to OMVIC. Disgusting business practices. Oh I also have a recording of Erin's dismissive attitude which I was compelled to record after her denying her behavior towards me. October 14, 2020: response to Loan Arranger response. I had only one call which I returned when a message was left over a week ago from the area manager. The review was made when no other calls were made back after my discussion with the area manager. If someone called afterwards then why not leave a message as I am on training and cannot answer any calls during my training? I don't know who has called if there is an unknown number not to mention for whom I should be asking - I do not have a crystal ball. As for the rolled back km: I have documents to prove otherwise.

I honestly don't even know what to say about this company. I'm honestly at a loss for words! I went into this very cautiously, expecting the worst. I ended up getting a phone call for a lady named Michelle. We spoke on the phone for roughly 30 minutes. She asked me what type of vehicle I was looking for and what I was planning on doing with my current vehicle. It took a bit for me to see what vehicle I qualified for and to be honest I was expecting something I didnt really want. But she worked her butt off to get me an amazing vehicle.
