I have been with other banks and credit unions before (Advia, Chase, BOA), and nothing compares to the care and professionalism displayed by Genisys Credit Union. You walk in and the staff know who you are, and even remember small details about who we are. It makes you feel appreciated. If you ever have problems they generally work with you, and in the end they are determined to make you happy. I’ve heard that their rates for loans are fantastic compared to the competition, and since I’m going to be looking for a new car soon, I will definitely head to Genisys first. Overall, I haven’t had any bad experiences even when I was having issues with my paychecks not coming in and being over drafted several times, but they still helped however they could. Give them a try, I haven’t trusted anyone more with my money! Thank you Genisys!

I have been with this Credit Union since before it was Genisys (USA), and it is hands down THE best bank type institution I have ever dealt with, and I have dealt with most of the major and some minor ones such as Fifth Third, Huntington, etc. . . I have lived in different towns and all of my experiences have been positive at all of their branch locations. Loans, many, have always been approved and expertly, conveniently and expediently handled. Hope to never have to deal with any other but Genisys CU. The Marysville branch is the best and where I started, and Jay R., I wonder what the R stands for, especially due to the fact that ALL of your reviews are negative one star reviews, save for a measly two of them. . . so STFUASD please.

I'm torn. I had nothing but excellent service when I went into the bank. But after one interaction with an incompetent tech support chat worker I was terminated and they just closed my account. The lady asked for my member Id several times, finally after giving it for the 4th time I asked to be transferred to someone with a brain cell because like. Why would i wanna put in my member id for a 5th time? The agent was so condescending and I'm punished for that? I will strongly reccomend people use any other bank. Crazy how banks conduct business now a days.

I've been with Genisys for 3 or 4 years now, and I have been nothing but satisfied. Staff are not just pleasant, not just efficient, they are actually PASSIONATE about what they do. They make an effort to learn your name and face when you come in. I could work with a teller one time, and the next time I come in they will immediately call me by my first name and start pulling my account up. Interest being paid on my accounts is untouchable by any other financial institution in the area, and I've always been happy with any products I use with them, such as my Genisys Mastercard. I was initially concerned about the lack of branches in the area, but I found that it was more than remedied by their mobile banking (you can do anything on your phone that you can do on your computer, and mobile check deposits are a lifesaver), helpful staff, and branch hours that feel more tailored to the working man. Compare that to Advia Credit Union (whom I previously had my account through)- 5 branches in this area, but a mobile banking app that is consistently broken and doesn't do much when it IS working, and drive-thru and ATM lines that are always backed up. Night and day difference. Overall I'm very happy with Genisys, and this branch in Marysville stands out as exceptional compared to the Clinton Township branch I visited.

This credit union is shady, never again will I deal with these guys. They had a collection agency send me a notice because of a overdraft fee that I was not even aware of. Not once did they try to contact me., unreal. I am no longer with these goofs. I must add that the tellers are very friendly people though. Also when you try to simply call and speak to an actual person now you have to play the wait game. Leave your # and they will basically call you when they feel like it.

The problem was due to my work schedule i couldn't be there until exactly 5:30pm(closing).I called to see what options I had. Allison was understanding and helpful and solved my issue in less than 2 minutes.

I moved to Chicago. I still use them. I love them. Especially the genisys in Marysville. Very friendly. Never had a problem with them. Been banking with they for 4 years now! As well as they pay attention to you accounts and will call you when they feel someone has been using your card!. The bank actually cares for there customers!

Never had a problem, except the last couple times one teller in particular is always short and snippy with me, for what reason I do not know. She is new it seems, and maybe just doesnt know the genisys way of being friendly yet. Majority of the Staff has always been super friendly and remembers you, holds a convo with you while they do your banking like your friends. Gives it a personable experience. Kim is amazing person to see about loans. She is super nice and knowledgeable.

Being in the mortgage industry myself I recognize great customer service when I see it. If ever in need of a Heloc, car loan, personal loan, a loan for boats or recreational vehicles. Kim is the best she will ait down with you and go over all your options.

While the people here may be nice, they hardly ever answer the phone even during normal business hours. Genesis doesn't have a 24/7 customer service line, so if you need something or lose your card/wallet on the weekends or after 5pm, you're out of luck until the next business day.

This bank would barely give us the time of day when we first walked in. We had been recommended to go see them for a Home Equity Loan or a Line of Credit to purchase our new home. Kim made the 1st assumption that we didn't have any equity in our home, I am guessing based on our age (which we do) and when she found out how much we had. Only then did she talk to us a little more and give us some more info. THEN when we finally went to apply, she wouldn't let us because my husband was waiting for his new ID. So his current one has the paper stapled on the back. It says valid until 2024... We called other Credit Unions after we left and they said that the paper stapled to the ID will be no issue at all. We will be taking our business elsewhere. It is sad because I have heard good things about them. Kim making assumptions about what equity we had was completely unprofessional.

I cannot recommend Genisys Credit Union, specifically the Marysville branch enough. Great banking services and amazing member support. I had the great benefit of having some accounting issues handled by Chelsea Arnold and she was amazingly pleasant, prompt and beyond helpful.
