Horrible!!! A representative made a mistake on my RRSP contribution. A simple clericle mistake should be easy to fix but I was passed from person to person, only in the end to tell me I had to waste more time to come into the branch to sort out some paperworks. They were quick to take money but slow to resolve. In the end, nothing resolved !!! If you like the terrible red tape experience with non-existent customer service, then you should go with them. I would rate zero star if it were possible.

Worst bank EVER, Do not get a mortgage from them, they refuse to deal with issues, they waste your time and pass you along, from department to department. ZERO respect for their customers . Keep a close eye on your property taxes if they pay them for you. If they EVEN REMEMBER to pay them for you!

I have a mortgage with them and it's almost impossible to get through to anyone there without a card number. I don't have a card I have a mortgage. There's not even an option to talk to customer service

The instructions having been given (by email three times rather than one) three weeks before the deadline I was in my right to expect that they would be respected. First, the tax year following RRSP withdrawals was not respected. Secondly I asked for a certain percentage of tax levy and again there it was very complicated to follow my instructions. Also my first three emails went unanswered. ..No acknowledgment of receipt as if they had not been received. I bitterly regret having changed from the royal bank to the national bank. (Original) Je tiens à partager mon insatisfaction de la part de certains employés responsable des investissements. Les consignes ayant été données (par courriel trois fois plutôt qu'une) trois semaines avant l'échéance j'étais dans mon droit de m'attendre à ce qu'elles soient respectées. Premièrement l'année d'imposition suite à des retraits de REER n'a pas été respectée. Deuxièmement je demandais un certain pourcentage de prélèvement en impôts et encore là c'était très compliqué de suivre mes concignes. Également mes trois premiers courriels sont restés sans réponse. ..Aucun accusé réception comme s'ils n'avaient pas été reçus. Je regrette amèrement d'avoir changé de la banque royale à la banque nationale.

Terrible hours and terrible service. Went in to try to pay off a loan and if it wasn't in cash, they didn't want it. I thought banks wanted my money? Never will I get another loan through them, worst bank with the worst hours

I have been banking with NBC for many years and they have always been very quick to help. Staff are very kind and friendly. Recommendation: I would make the recommendation that all staff have a refresher training or basic course on what the RRSP T2033 form is and how to handle those for customers who want to transfer into their NBC RRSP or trading accounts. I find I have to explain myself each time I bring the form in, even when I have Page 1 complete with all details. Thanks.

This is the only branch which is open. The staff is very cooperating and they are very willing to help. I got excellent service. I went for three different transactions and was expecting at least 30 minutes. Two people worked on it and everything was done in 20 minutes. I am giving 4 stars as it took me 30 minutes to find a parking.

Easily the worst bank I've dealt with. On August 10th someone opened an account with them after hacking my CRA account. They then changed my direct deposit to the National Bank of Canada and applied for CERB. I contacted the CRA and fixed this but when I called the national line for NBC and spoke with someone from their fraud department they said there was nothing they could do and to go to a branch in person. I gave the guy the branch and account number and he still wouldn't do anything even though the account is being used for fraud. I work during the banks horrible business hours 10-3 and don't live anywhere near downtown Edmonton. You think that calling to report a fraudulent account would cause their fraud department to take action. Well not at this bank. Stay as far away as you can and bank with a reliable bank like RBC, TD and CIBC.
