If i could give 0 stars i would. Their "document verifiers" don't know how to read a paystub or bank statement. They emailed me multiple times to ask really rude questions. I've qualified for many other loans at other establishments. Captain Cash is incompetent, have horrible customer service and seem super scammy. Go somewhere else for your loan

Dig into the 'positive' reviews below mine. It's pretty easy to tell they are leaving their own fake reviews. You all happened to apply for a loan with the Quebec branch at the company at the same time you applied for a loan at captain cash? And you all left identical reviews for both places raving about how great they are? If you're giving people horrible service and lying to them about what you're advertising, the solution would be to fix your business practises not lie more to cover it up. Although this company can be useful when you have absolutely nowhere else to go, the false and misleading information that they give you right from the start needs to be changed. Stating things like '1 Hour Approval' , 'Same day deposits' and that they won't directly contact your employer are all outright lies. It is illegal to provide false and misleading advertising and it has a negative impact on the very people who rely on them for help. The Competition Act was created in Canada to stop these kinds of things from happening, but unfortunately they target low income people who can't afford their bills, let alone a lawyer to hold a company like this accountable. Quit lying to your potential customers...

DO NOT USE CAPTIAN CASH!!! THEY ARE SCAM ARTISTS. This company prays on low income family's and will harass the hell out of you. Even when me and my boyfriend have payed for our $600.00 loan (our loan was actually only for $500.00) yet they Still say we owe $400.00. They charge you a $200.00 brokerage fee every two weeks plus $40.00 NSF. We have gotten harassing emails saying they found my boyfriends mom on Facebook (which he's lying because it's completely private.) We are pursuing this to my lawyer and media. I am SO not okay with what this company is doing. We have settled our debt but they are still harassing/threatening us.

If you work for a payday loan company, and you need a loan yourself, do not apply here. "We don't loan to competitors." Well, I'm sorry that I work for a company like yours. But policy states you can't loan from your own company. What can you do? Damned if you do, damned if you don't. The woman I spoke to on the phone when I called and asked why I was declined, was horribly rude, and spoke to me like I was trash because I work for a competitor. I guess people like me aren't supposed to need any help.

Qualifications on their website -18 or older -Monthly income of over $1200.00 -Stable Job of 3 months or more -Canadian Citizen -Have a Canadian bank account active since a minimum of 3 month in which you get paid by direct deposit -Not be on the brink of declaring bankruptcy or entering into a consumer proposal -Have few or no non-sufficient funds transactions -Have a low short term debt ratio (other active short term or payday loans) But yet they don't approve you because someone in your family or a friend had a loan with a sister company Diamond Financial and they were not able to pay this back, as they fell on hard times, and had to do a proposal. The person that is applying isn't in a proposal but they know someone who is. Weird, I do not see that under any of the qualifications. So in response to your reply Captain Cash, I am not clear as to what you are following. So in the end it is discriminating as you are not allowing someone to borrow money from you because someone they know had hard times to your sister company. Not sure what else you would call it. Feel free to post where this is showed on your website! LIARS!!!!!!!!!!!

I have attempted to UNSUBSCRIBE from this publication for over 4 months. I get an email every two weeks despite my efforts. I will be reporting Captain Cash to the appropriate authorities for noncompliance of my wishes. The constant barrage of emails feels like cyberspace harrassment.

Claims to be hour approval but took a day to get a reply plus 24 hours to get funds as well they take funds out the day before payday so your in the negatives and bank charges fees from $5 to s $45 NSF fee. So $500 loan payed back over 6 pay periods you could be looking at another $270 in bank fees ontop of there loan fees. Ridiculous way of doing business.

They do exactly what they say they do. All you need is proof of income. Usually thats done by them calling your boss. The reason im rating 1 star is they drop a $300 fee for borrowing $500. That is ridiculously high. Cash Money does $500 for $50. After i finish paying it off i will be going elsewhere.

AVOID AVOID AVOID!!!! Where do I start with this loan shark, if you can get a loan else where do it. They trick you into signing a contract, while you’re just trying to get pre approved. Within that contract your interest rate will be 23% PLUS almost $250 in paperwork fees. Not to mention the payments are not consistent, same days but different values. Thirdly, and the reason why I’m flicking their rotten money back at them, is the fact that they’ll try to take the money from your account a day before payday because “most banks have a grace period”. So in other words, either you get hit with NFS funds from your bank, or you get hit with NSF charges from these guys. I can’t believe they can legally run the way they do, I’ve dealt with many high risk loan companies before but these guys are huge red flags. DO NOT GET A LOAN WITH THESE GUYS UNLESS ITS YOUR VERY LAST OPTION.

Same old song and dance. Anyone who has been accepted obviously say good things and anyone refused would typically say something bad. But honestly I just want to share my personal experience. I applied for a loan a week ago and I was denied, fine I thought I just got back to work maybe I didn't match the criteria. But January 7th i receive an email from captain cash stating in the subject, "You're Now Eligible for up to $750.00". I thought wow maybe they read my responding email expressing my opinions about the integrity of the company, and had a change of heart and are now trying to make amends as to nor lose a potential customer. Wrong! They make me wait another 24 hours just to receive an email saying enough time hasn't passed in order for me to be eligible to re-apply. And just after christmas with no money, I had just a little hope dangled in front of me and then snatched away again. Payday loans are a trap and if it weren't for needing the money to eat I would not have applied myself. Normally I don't give bad reviews, anyone can check my history on that one. This place just left a bad taste in my mouth and I apologize for saying negative things but at the end of the day I am just being honest.

Do not fall for their fake reviews any reviews on this company that give more then one star are faked 100 percent I wouldn't try to borrow money from this company if they were the last loan shark on the face of this earth and I would die without a loan from them after what they just put my wife threw she applied for a loan they told her that she was denied because she didn't make 1200 that month that's fine they told her to reapply in one month if she makes over 1200 this month and they will lend her the money no problems she reapplys the next month they deny her this time because she moved money that was in the checking account to the savings account the other day and when she called and I called we were both on the phone for a long time trying to find out why they denied her and all we both got from 2 different employees was attitude and trying to push us off the phone not answering any of the questions we were ask plz save yourself the time and headache and never try to borrow money from captian cash

They lie in their application process. They tell you the won't call the numbers provided unless they can't reach you. Then they call them before starting the loan. That is disclosing private information without consent.

Horrible customer service! Took out a payday loan, but then canceled it within the three days. They still charged me $75. You are better off getting a real payday loan with Money Mart. They have better rates ! Very rude and unprofessional management. Do not deal with this company it will be nothing but a headache!!!

I think this is a good lender business but I think that it should stop advertising that is approved in 1 hour and same day deposit because I don't think I have ever gotten an approval in an hour (always approved) but never within an hour and nor do I remember it being deposited within the same day. This can be false advertising so I would suggest that the company not declare this as it could be misleading. I did a renewal today at 7:50 this morning and it is now 1:19 in the afternoon and I still haven't heard whether it has been approved. I am patient so it is fine as I am not in dire need but someone that is may rely on the belief that it is short period of wait time for approval and deposit. If they're feeling like it is a crisis that they need funds right away, this could cause unnecessary stress on someone. Which is why I am giving it three stars. Pay day loans would normally have this done within 20 to 30 minutes and you're not paying such high fees for the loan especially if it is not that large of a loan but captain cash proffers a payment schedule instead of one lump sum coming out of the next pay cheque. If it wasn't back to school around the corner, I probably would have just done the pay day loan since it would have been quicker and I could get on with my day. Overall, this is a good lender but it isn't perfect then again nothing is!

I finally ended up calling them after three days to tell them to forget the whole thing , they must have one person working for them , I was on hold to talk to someone for 20 minutes and they told me Ive yet to be approved that they just have to verify my income . REALLY ? Avoid this place , youll be sorry !! In response to the post made by the owner , yes that would make sense that my application cant be dealt with until the previous ones are , are you idiots ? I had an unfortunate accident at work and couldn't work for 3 weeks. They were helpful enough to allow me to defer a payment bc I have been a customer for over a year without a single missed payment. The problem is that they did not follow the updated payment schedule and overcharged me on a payment as well as charged me a $7 interest fee counted as a payment which extended the contract yet another payment and was not explained to me at any point not put in the updated payment schedule. I am not very happy that a company would mislead a good customer of over a year this way and would suggest to anyone thinking about dealing with them to think twice bc they are horrible.

They discriminate against people and claim they are following guidelines. I got denied for being at the end of bankruptcy. Their criteria say I can not be on the brink. There is a big difference there. Beening on bankruptcy means I no longer have debts to interfere with replaying. They also say they don't look at credit history....... I am going to stop there.

Nothing. They denied me cause my bank had checks going in on 3 different days of the week. One of those days were Christmas eve. Like the banks are open Christmas day. I get paid every 2 weeks and for the month of January I had a check every week. They have a problem with that.

I've been coming here off and on for over a year and not one complaint. Very nice staff and a clean office. I also like that they just switched to paperless and they have options to have your loans paid back via direct deposit. They also have the ability to put your loan directly onto your debit card or split it between that and cash! Worth recommending. 5 stars all the way.

I was discriminated against because of my employment type. I have worked steadily for over 4 years in my line of work with promotions and bonuses. I would not recommend this lender whatsoever to anyone due to disregard in the level of employment I have and how difficult it was to be hired in the first place. For this lender to refuse my loan is absolutely ridiculous. Skip this lender, there are many many more out there who don't tell you that someone else is a flunky call centre with no security checks is the reason you were rejected. Unbelievable.

Overall I had a pretty bad experience with them. I first applied for my loan last Thursday and it is now Monday and still nothing. I was dealing with different people who kept telling me different things, it's been very frustrating. The whole "hour approved and same day deposits" is a joke, it is now Monday 4 days later and all I have got from them is a head ache. They call me and my employer from a blocked number which just made things more difficult, I know my employer doesnt receive calls from blocked callers and I hate picking up "unknowner callers " or "blocked calls". Over bad experience and not the greatest customer service either.

My husband has been trying to 'renew' his loan 3x online & there seems to be a "glitch" in the system cuz we can't complete the application process properly; the 1st time - we couldn't even access the renewal application & they were unaware there was even an issue until we brought it to there attention. We ended up getting sidetracked cuz "life happens" & tried again since this morning, managed to complete the application, however, ran into issues with the banking confirmation which was a blank page on their end...so now they want my partner to run around & go get a pay stub, when he gets paid direct deposit & a 30-day bank statement. We've explained to them why we're trying to renew this loan cuz we ran out of car insurance yesterday, thus we are not able to run around getting the items required for the renewal. We don't understand why this documentation is required now when he has a file already established?? He has paid off his 1st loan without any problems! Nothing has changed..what a farce to try & renew a loan.

Although the staff tried to be helpful, the website is NOT. It says 1 hour approval. It took over 24hrs to get my friends loan approved. He was also told he would have his money that day as he was approved. He did not receive his funds that day, or the next either. So, he originally applied at 1120am Monday, and did not receive his funds that day, or Tuesday either. It is almost midnight on Tuesday, day 2 of applying, no funds. Will update tomorrow and let you all know if he got the funds at all.

( Customer Service Officer/Representative So basically if you work in customer service you're out of luck. They could have at least told me this before applying. What a waste of my time.
