Horrible experience!! Own a home for 18 years... 28 years same employer. Clear bank record. But because I didn't have a CELL PHONE was refused even though I have the same phone number and landline for 18 years. Absolutely ridiculous. The worker Nishant Shah called his "manager" who cowardly refused to speak with me! BTW - Nowhere on the website, paperwork or business card where Requirements are listed state that you MUST have a cell phone. I highly recommend everyone stay away!!

UPS attempted a delivery to my residence which required a signature. The package was dropped off at this secondary location for my pickup. I checked the internet to find out Pay Day was open at 10:00 am. I arrived at 10:20 only to discover the front door locked and it was closed. I called UPS and advised them this was the second time this has happened to me at this location. At 10:45 a guy stills in blocking the front door, looks at me sitting in my car, turns on the open sign and walks in. I walk inside and he is talking to someone his cell phone (personal call) and docent say a word to me. I hand him my claim ticket and he walks to the back returning to the desk while still talking to someone on his phone. I have no idea how these clowns get hired or why UPS a nationally recognized company would even use this business as a pickup location. He failed to even acknowledge he was late or offer an apology or excuse, which I'm sure would have been a lie anyways. UPS please remove this company from your secondary pickup locations , they don't deserve to be associated to your company.

Let me share, SO after western union blocked me to send money back home (guyana) ,I googled money gram near me and this store popped up, So I went there and the guy (south Asian -brown) welcomed me warmly like-- good evening and how's your day going?. I knew it right away that , I am at the right place, Next thing, I wasn’t sure that in George town (Guyana) do they have money gram location or not? He called Money Gram call center, found 3 receive location for me, wrote it down neatly on piece of paper for me, He would have spent around 10 minutes to make sure that my mother will have money there to pick up as it was an emergency. tl:dr - Company policy is to lie and use illegal fees - Has their manager post fake reviews to skew score - attempts to bribe customers to change negative reviews Edit : Nishant from PLM called to offer an apology and a $20 gift card. We asked if this meant they were going to live up to their word about the loan and we're told it would be either a $100 loan or the gift card only if I would "work with him to reword the review". Needless to say I do not like feeling bribed to change an honest review and said no. Came to add this and noticed the name on the review that was Nishant is now "A Cool Dude", and two more obvious fake reviews to skew their score. Another dishonest attempt from a highly questionable company RUN, don't walk from this company. If I could give them zero stars I would. Received a call from a person named Nishanth stating that I had been approved for a loan of $300. As I am currently on medical leave from work, I asked him specifically if I would qualify and stated my income, and he said it was fine. We went in today to take them up on the offer, spoke with Perth and suddenly we are only approved for $200. When we advised the clerk about the phone call he basically indicated we were lying. We asked him to call Nishanth, and he refused, then claimed he had but the answer was still only $200. Then he starts telling us we owe a $60 fee from the last loan we had in May 2015, of which we had never been told about, which would be tagged onto the new loan (so basically they would loan $260 with all fees based on that amount, which is not allowed by law). With that loan, we were unable to get into the office and so they processed the payment by PAD (Pre-Authorized Debit) and the payment went through no problem. When we asked what this fee was, we were told that it was $15 for late fees and $45 for NSF. When we showed him on our statement that the PAD did not bounce, the story changed to that they charged this extra fee because they had to process the loan with the PAD, which is against the Payday Loan Act. At this point we started recording the interaction as we knew we were being scammed and will be taking them to the Ministry of Consumer Services. So I had Perth restate what they were going to be doing and said we would accept the $200 (+$60 fee). He called Nishanth at that point and put him on speaker. Nishanth stated that the phone call from his "was a mistake" even though he had asked for me by name , and starts yelling for us to either take the $200 and pay the fee or "go to the next plaza and get a loan from them". We tried to ask about the fee and he would not answer but just kept yelling at us to take the $200 or leave, and then hung up the phone. So we agreed, then Perth got a call (obviously from Nishanth) and said we were no longer eligible based on that I am on medical leave from work (which wasn't a problem before so, another lie). This company is engaging in poor business practices and illegal fees. And try to manipulate their score by the manager posting reviews (see review below mine). Do not use their services!!!!
