That broker lacked urgency and customer service and it was annoying and created unnecessary stress for me. I found this company as a Google ad so I was skeptical but of all the mortgage brokers I applied through, they ended up being the best hands down and they beat all of the rates I was quoted from at the banks. The initial intake form on their website takes forever but it was worth it in the end. I got the best rate with them by far and after the initial intake form and phone call, their website made uploading all the necessary documents pretty straight forward. I also got it all done in about 3 weeks from start to finish (and most of the delays were on my end), none of the other brokers moved that quickly. Shout-out to Justin and Ricky who were on top of it along every step of the way.

Reached out to nesto for a preapproval mid Feb - I uploaded all the required documents on their website and was advised someone would reach out to me. 10 days later, after no follow up i reached out to find out when i should expect to hear back. I was assigned to a broker - Adel who reached out to me and said he would review my file. I then reached out to him twice for an update and he then sent an email saying it would be difficult for me to secure financing. In between this back and forth I reached out to another mortgage broker (Intellimortgage) and not only did they get back to me within a significantly shorter time frame, but they provided me with two options regarding financing. I really expected more from nesto....

He was amazing for being able to get the information across in a way I could understand and feel comfortable about in a professional yet relatable way. Nous nous sommes finalement tourné vers un courtier multiprêt qui a fait une job extraordinaire pour nous sortir de cette situation: nous avions notre financement en 48h et tous les documents étaient rendu chez le notaire après 5 jours.

Mon agent courtier a travaillé même après 20h pour finaliser mon dossier. Elle m'a aussi guidé pour assembler les documents nécessaires et choisir les meilleures options pour mon hypothèque. Tout est rendu dans la cour du notaire en une semaine. Je suis allé voir ma banque deux semaines avant Nesto pour juste rencontrer quelqu'un en passant et ils m'ont même pas fait un retour encore, même pour un rendez-vous LOL. Tu veux aller vite? The online application process is smooth flowing and right away they were able to match me with a lender that meets my needs. The online meeting with Eli was cordial, responsive, forthcoming, and affirming and they were all that I needed to be reassured of my mortgage refinancing decision. Le lendemain, la lettre de pré-approbation qu'on nous avait promise est arrivée, avec quelques heures de retard... et surtout avec le mauvais montant. Cela nous a forcé à chercher un plan B à quelques heures d'une offre d'achat. Nous ne ferons plus affaire avec Nesto.

The only downside is that some of the loan companies they work with do not have a good reputations with notaries and banks (undocumented buyouts and practices, no physical entities to talk to), which turned into delays and worries. Nesto itself was not the issue, but I would advise other buyers to do extensive research before choosing a plan. Years will tell if the deal was worth it, but at least Nesto is responsive and understanding. Would recommend.

Absolutely pathetic service. It was a heart breaking experience for me as a first time home buyer. Got my pre-approval from Nesto. Found a house for 50% of my pre-approval value and went back to them asking for final commitment later. I had my 20% down ready with me and informed them I had a conditional offer expiring in 7 days. My mortgage agent just wasted my time for 5 days and came back to me on 6th day saying he couldn't proceed as he just found a new requirement for me to have an extra 10% in my bank account as liquidity. These guys don't know the rules themselves. He asked me to go to my bank at the last moment and start the process all over again. Had he flagged me this requirement earlier, I could have at least tried. Finally, I couldn't close the offer and lost the house due to their incompetence :(

Their process is a mess. False advertisement & hard inquiry on my credit report without my consent. Saturday, I chose a rate online based on the info I filled, with a big mention of 120 days hold period. Monday morning I get a call about my application. I'm being told that the rate didn't have 120 days hold, but only 20-30 days. The only rate I can get for 90 days hold is higher, so I told the representative I'm not interested and that she can call me back again if she has a better rate. Tuesday morning both my wife and I get a hard inquiry on our credit report. I messaged both people that I had contact with, one didn't respond, and the other basically goes on a big argument over sms about how I waste her time and that I shouldn't have expected the 120 days hold. Big waste of time and energy. Now I have to contact Equifax to get that hard inquiry removed, which will probably never happen.

Samson had previously helped me with financing my home purchase as my financial advisor at Scotiabank. Recently, I noticed that the rates at Nesto were very low compared to other lenders so I wanted to take advantage and start saving. When I was looking to renew and get a better rate he was the only person I would consider. He really took the time to go over all the numbers and calculations to see if switching would save me money in the long run. He gave me some great suggestions for how I could save now with my current STEP mortgage by restructuring, blending and extending, and early renewal. He was able to save me approximately $170 monthly and $23,000 in interest over the term of my mortgage with my current lender. Unfortunately, I didn't qualify to renew and move my mortgage over to Nesto, but the experience was great and I would happily consider coming back again when my financial situation changes.

I’m quite confused with Nesto and my interaction with them prior to starting an application. They advertise themselves as an online brokerage but they constantly pressure you to schedule phone calls. This isn’t ideal with a busy work and family life. The last mortgage I did, I was able communicate solely by online / email. I did schedule one call and was told to go and fill in an application. I went to do so and guess what? They wanted to schedule yet another call. I didn’t waste my time further and opted to not proceed with Nesto.

Nesto has a great premise. they do provide very good rates and their advisors seem very available and offer their good advice. That being said, I had to follow up several times with my advisor to ensure the process was going through and there were delays ( was told they were too busy and failed to notice any updates to the file.. he would assume they weren't done, when they had promptly completed.) which became an issue financially on my part when closing. Due to their negligence, I ended up paying an extra $700 waiting for the paperwork while my mortgage switched to an open one and I fault Nesto for this delay. In the end, I guess you get what you pay for.. to be fair, my advisor contacted me within an hour every time I emailed him, however he never seemed to fully understand my profile when we were talking.. for someone with that much experience, he always seemed frazzled. I had submitted everything online immediately and updated quickly any changes they requested. I would assume Nesto does high volume sales and therefore,they will be delays so figure that into your decision when choosing them and allow for a lot of time for them to process.

We heard of Nesto living in Toronto while searching for a new mortgage broker for our first renewal. I read an article in the Montreal paper about Nesto and contacted them. The entire process was pleasant and any issues we had were addressed promptly. Over the course of a month Chase guided us through our mortgage decision over the phone and via email. He was willing to spend the time to make sure we understood our mortgage options, conditions and the small details which makes a huge difference in overall customer service. I can't say enough good things about Nesto. We specifically worked with Don Dickson from the start after filling out our initial contact form. Don was phenomenal, always just a phone call or email away when we had questions. And we had a lot of them since this was our first time purchasing a house. I decided to try to go through Nesto for my mortgage renewal and see what rates I can get. The process was seamless and Jamie called me soon after starting the process online to help me with picking terms of renewal mortgage that suit me best and that provides a great rate. He followed up with me in terms of any documentation that is required and I was then locked in for a great rate until closer to my mortgage renewal date. As I got closer to the mortgage renewal date, I had several issues with documentation requested by FCT and delays in getting the transfer finalized, which were stressful from my end since I was not familiar with the process for the transfer. Jamie was always available to help with the issues and whether through a phone call or email I knew that I could reach him and have an answer that same day. This was my 3rd mortgage and first time with Nesto. I previously dealt with other mortgage brokers before and was put in contact with another one from the builder. I ended up with Nesto because I felt they listen to my needs, as opposed to some other brokers who I felt were providing cookie-cutter answers. The whole process went super smooth. I had a somewhat difficult situation to deal with and Adel guided me through with great advice. He put me in confidence and got me the mortgage I needed with a great rate. Brodie took care of all the paperwork and I didn't have to think what was needed when, simply had to provide things when I was asked/reminded to. I see that I am not alone. This company has a serious problem.........with not responding to people. Have excellent credit looking for a new first mortgage to refinance existing.....should have been straight forward. We are talking about weeks going on to months....

So I signed up with Nesto and the process was smooth, easy to submit required documents and my agent was responsive to my inquiries. I found Nesto by fluke and it was one of the best flukes I have had in a while. Upon contacting them I was provided with more information than I ever received at a bank. Chase, the owner, gave me hands on assistance with my inquiries and when he was unavailable he provided me with a very knowledgeable person within their organization to assist. They were able to find me a mortgage at a great rate, jumped through hoops to make sure that it was secured and I was satisfied and happy with everything. Any documentation required was always sent and explained thoroughly and detailed in a manner that was understandable. The people that they set me up with for the mortgage have been genuinely amazing, they have been providing me with information as things have progressed and assisted me in ways of getting the mortgage paid off sooner. I have actually sent additional people to Nesto to get assistance with mortgages and enquiries and will continue to do so going forward. very happy with Chase and his team.....

As I have just completed my mortgage through Nesto, I can say that they have Amazingly great rates (their advertised low rates *are* real - no bait-and-switch tactics here). The application was really easy (and safe - all done through electronic documents from my home). The staff at Nesto was super-responsive to my questions (i would always get answers within a few hours of sending an email). A great experience overall! And I would recommend Nesto 100% :-)
