In my past experience i went to the bank to learn more about my personal finances, they where happy to put some sort of a plan together that was never explained to me.. "better than nothing" i told myself. Then, I came to this office to help out a friend in the business and was blown away by the financial education i received there, they explained to me in detail what i currently had put in place by the bank and what they could do for me to add more value. I have been a client for a year now and could not be happier with this company, my advisor and the services provided to me. highly recommend!

I was invited to a presentation by a friend, I came down and was absolutely mystified by what's going on here. I had a look through the reviews and they are all equally amusing: "happy with products and services!", "most positive and friendly environment you'll ever experience!", etc. My experience was a series of presentations from, I guess the salespeople, each one gushing about what a terrific place WFG is. Each person said nothing about: what was being sold, what are the products, what are the services, What the F is Going on (what WFG actually stands for?). I showed up dressed in my typical slobby attire and, I guess because I don't look like a target, didn't get any interest from anybody, so I was able to observe what was going on unscathed. There were some high-end import cars in the parking lot with interesting vanity plates of the theme, "money", "status", "get-rich-quick" I guess. From reading some of the other reviews I think this might be a life insurance store, but honestly there's no way to tell from their literature. I think it's kind of a MLM, but they hold back on any details unless you come forward asking questions. There's definitely some psychology going on, they make sure to pack the place with people I suppose to create the illusion that there's something vital and important going on, or that a lot of people are interested, and I guess the point is to victimize the one gullible individual who gets sucked into it. There's a lady who wrote a heartfelt review from a former staff member on the South location, it sounds like she got the run-around for several months before having to bail due to not being able to earn a living wage. "Is it a scam," well yeah perhaps kind of a scam; more likely it's a "scheme" to deceive you into buying life insurance products that you don't actually need. My Grandma bought into one of these schemes when she was dying, so many years ago. She gave it to my dad to collect, but he told me that after reading the terms and whatever he concluded it was completely worthless and just chucked it away. I had another experience, my wife's friend became widowed when her truck-driver husband was killed on the job, "luckily" she had a life insurance policy. However she made a huge mistake letting on that she had been diagnosed with cancer when she went to collect on that policy, which began a 5-year ordeal involving lawyers and conflict, etc. I guess the principle is that, if they can drag out the payment long enough, and you have some kind of terminal condition, there's a chance you might die before you can collect, in which case they would just keep the money. In conclusion these financial products companies aren't exactly illegitimate and they aren't especially legitimate either. What they do and how they deliver returns is kind of a baffling mystery that they put a lot of effort into concealing, and in my personal experience they seem to be mostly about scamming you into making payments on noncollectable policies. A bunch of hustlers, I guess?
