I was referred to Mr Payday by a friend of mine. I have really bad credit due to some mistakes in the past and getting a loan from a bank was not an option when I got sick and missed a week of work and my rent was due the same week. I have not dealt with any other payday loan company in the past, but I can say that i was very please with how I was treated by customer service. It took them a couple of hours to get my application approved and send me the funds. I applied on Friday and was told that it might take a little bit longer to get my application processed, but surprisingly I got the funds sent to me right after that.

Only thing going for it is the email money transfer option, beyond that, the service is poor, slow, and other companies seem to want and appreciate your business more. Compared to the competition, this place fails. Also, if you scroll thru some of the reviews, you can see one genius disclosed a customer's personal info in a reply to their complaint, i guess they don't care about privacy laws either. and of course the credit check that nobody else does unless you go to collections. if anybody is going to do a hard inquiry, they should report the positive paid in full to the bureau too, that's fair.

Unfortunately They repeatedly emailed me wanting me to call them...after I emailed them and said I am unfortunately not in a phone conversation position for the next little bit so anything you need me to explain provide, just emaol me wht I can get for you or ask whatsvsr questions you need too...nope got another robo email saying "call us! Ypou are approved...buy not really...most likely but we need to trap your voice and own your soul using the archaicly Satanic practice of "Copper whicking" with the comically ancient, and thus,exceedingly easier way to extract ones self from hundreds or thousands of miles away if One has been trained proper. So ya...3/5...if they read this and email me what they need l gladly retrack the (probably) true reason they need to hear my voice.

Went down to Mr Payday loans yesterday to find out I needed several items, Paycheque, detailed bank statement of 60 days, preauthorized debit form, a phone bill and a piece of mail in my name showing my address. Came back today with all items. The lady sat me down photocopied all personal information including my drivers license, medical card, all banking information, looked over all my banking transactions with great scrutiny. After which she said she would be calling my personal references on application, furthermore doing a credit check ( which shows up on credit bureau, and lowers score) I did not agree to that. She said it was already done, and she would be calling my friends next. I asked for my personal information back which she quickly put away in her desk and refused to return. Feel like I made a horrible mistake by coming to this last resort payday loan place. Much quicker easier and no credit checks at the big name payday lenders

I stopped by at their store front location at 3421 Kingsway. I had to bring my id, bank statement and a paystub. I filled out their application form. They took copies of my documents and verified my phone numbers. I got approved for the loan. They gave me $300 cash. I asked them to debit my bank account on my upcoming payday as I did not have time to come back and pay them in cash. I am getting another loan from them now. This time, I am going to get the loan online.

Edited from 5 star to 1 star: I applied for a reloan and customer service told me we needed to wait 5 days for my payment to clear the bank before issuing a reloan. After the 5 days I phoned to proceed with the loan; and they told me that there is a note on my account to not loan me anymore. I phoned back the next month and they told me it's permanent with no real reason why. I've been a customer for while too. Previous Rating: I have been to this business a few times to use their service. Their service is very convenient and their online applications are quick and easy to use. I have been to their location a few times. They have excellent customer service; I feel welcomed as soon as I walk through their doors. They are very helpful, professional and efficient. I have called and emailed them a few times as well, and they uphold the same excellent customer service as if I was there in person. If anyone is looking for a PayDay Loan place, I highly recommend this one. Thank you Mr. PayDay for making my life a bit more manageable. Especially through these tough times.

When it was time to repay my loan I called the store and asked if they could charge my bank account to save me the hassle of coming in and they said that would be find and could be done. I problem. About a week and a half went by and my account wasn't charged so I went into the store to pay in person. I made sure to ask that they didn't put through the charges to my bank account, who wants to be billed twice? They said they hadn't started that process yet so I felt comfortable paying in store via debit. Everything seemed fine until this morning I noticed they auto-billed my bank account for an additional $300.00. Yay, I then had zero dollars in my bank account. I went into the store and asked for a refund. The manager / owner said he could reverse it but with processing times it would take time to which I explained to him I did not have. I told him that he took my last $300 out of my account and I have three kids at home I need to take care of with that money. While I'm taking to the manager, two desks over, another female employee starts talking about me to her female coworker. She made comments about being too poor to have three kids, how she feels sorry for my boyfriend for being with me and the list goes on. I flipped out at her and the manager and stormed out of there. At least my bank has promised to refund my money by end of day tomorrow and I plan on filing a report with the RCMP. They should have their licensing revoked. Beware!

Upon making payment arrangements back in 2014, I just found out that they put a judgment on my credit bureau. It's now in 2019. Everyone be careful as they cheat you to try and getting money back. Never trust this company. They tried taking the full amount out of my account after payment arrangements were agreed upon. This was a dirty trick and they then went on and put a judgment against me. If the owner thinks that he will get a dime out of me, he can go to hell!!!!! I will inform everyone on social media how crooked this company is. Because not notifying me prior to the judgment, I have lost a lucrative contract.

Gives you a false impression your approved then total opposite. You will also have 25 different loan places contact you that you never applied for. So your credit is shared and pulled by multiple companies. Don’t apply with these guys

Stay Away... Like stated before they do a full credit check on you. When I called to find out why they did the credit check I was told that I authorized it by giving them my SIN number, which I did not. For your benefit go somewhere else.

DO NOT USE THESE GUYS!!!! They will do an actual full credit check on you without verbally telling you. I pulled my credit report and had an inquiry from them which of course brought my credit score down. Not to mention it looks kinda bad having an inquiry from a Pay Day Loan company. If you don't want an inquiry on your credit report, all for a $300 loan, do not use Mr. Payday Loans!
